Yeah I've heard some rediculous rumors like you move the truck and Mew's underneath it and you drive it around and run over trainers! Just a waste of a whole game to get surf lol

Was there ever a point to the truck in Vermillion City, right next to the S.S. Anne? I remember a long time ago I wasted my time following some cheat to get Mew (and it didn't work...). Supposedly, you had to use Surf next to the S.S. Anne (before it left), and then use Strength on the truck and a Mew would appear. To do this (since you need Cut to move forward in the game), I simply traded a Tentacruel that knew Cut to my game and just skipped the S.S. Anne. When I finally got Surf and Strength, I went back to the ship, Surfed to the right and found a truck. 'Course, nothing ever happened. So back to my question: was there ever any point to that truck next to the S.S. Anne? (sorry if this question has been asked and answered before) |

Ah, okay. Thanks. It's just that the truck has been bugging me for quite some time now. I had played a whole game once before trying to get to that truck, and it was just a dud. lol |

It's just another doodad. Something there which is of no particular use, but yet misleads people to believe otherwise simply because it looks significant. Like the White Rock beside the Space Center in Mossdeep in RSE, but that's another story for another time. Its really funny to me that Nintendo started off RSE with the infamous truck. For me it was like OMG THE TRUCK! WHERES THE LVL 100 METAL MEW? (Yes, that was a rumor i heard back in the day if u beat the first mew) |

ok sry becuase this is firered leafgreen but,the truck is still there i used the mew event code+ride bike over water code and right before he says well what he says press the combo or select and he will shoot up in the air and thenjust run get on your bike and ride to the right and its still there i thought it was funny because i have some freinds that never heard of the truck so i showed it to them they thought it was funny becuase they never saw a different truck since rse |

It is really there, but you must trade something with cut to your game. After you get surf you can surf east and you'll find the truck. However, the only way to find Mew there is to hack. |

lol, the truck is still there in FR/LG. but they put a lava cookie there as a sort of prize for finding it. whoop-dee-doo, a lava cookie. XD some prize, huh? |
