If you're talking about the Yellow Pika, it will never evolve in Yellow
Try trading it to another game and use a stone there, then trade it back.

I think Pikachu is not all that annoying. I have played yellow. the only problem is when you try to turn around. I am not however a pikachu fan.

Frankly, I don't watch the Anime, and I don't really care what other people say about Pokemon. People argue that it's a game for kids (which it can be, there's plenty of appeal for young kids) but they don't understand all the strategy that goes into competitive battling.

Anyhoo, Pikachu: In the game, its rare enough that you only encounter it a few times each time around (unless you go looking for them). And to find a Pikachu that's actually useful for battling is REALLY rare.

Your odds aren't good to get a Pikachu with a Modest Nature AND HP Grass. But I don't think Pikachu is that annoying.

I don't think Pikachu is that annoying. I think it has the longest lasting popularity among all the Pokemon. Like, I was at some shopping mall and there was some Pokemon related event for Christmas, and the featured Pokemon were all from Ruby/Sapphire (Treecko and stuff like that). Pikachu was the only one from older versions of the game.

With a very sharp knife, no just kidding. When you battle a pokemon you get a certain amount of EV's depending on the pokemon (eg Zangoose gives Att +2). To split EV's all you have to do is battle enough pokemon so that half of the EV's you get are one stat and the other another stat. I know I havn't explained it really well, just check out the main site and find a guide on EV's (or EP's), or find something on this forum.

On something, like NetBattle, you can choose the exact EV's your pokemon get, which is very usuful.

I just think he is level 10000000000000 in the show. His lightning is so freakin powerful. Yet, when he says "Pika!", it resembles 10000000000000 broken violins. So annoying...

By the way I traded my Pikachu to Crystal (via N64 and Transfer Pack)
So I could evole it and then I found it was holding a Light Ball!?

just trade pikachu from yellow to blue or something. and trade it back. then pikachu wont follow you. and then you can evolve it with the thunderstone too. =). all in all he is not annoying. pikachu has poor defense... but he is fast. and powerful if need be.

Pikachu isn't that bad as Pokemon go but after you reach Lvl 50 where it learns its last move Light Screen, there is no reason not to make it stronger by evolving it into Raichu.

You can even evolve it at Level 33 (Agility) and teach your Raichu Thunder with a TM25 if you don't want Light Screen.

In the anime, pokemon don't have a 4 move moveset restriction. Ash's pikachu knows all the moves he can learn. I thought only the anime pikachu
was annoying. I liked pikachu on yellow. It was fun to put him to sleep :D

Yeah, about Pikachus level, in GSC it's 81, of course, in GSC it can have 4 moves, in the show it can have like 50. Anyways, I know he had agility, cause I remember (and strangley vividly too) when something was going to hit Pikachu and ash said, use agility! And pikachu, darted off to the side, hit the enemy, darted to the other side, hit the enemy... he did it about 10 times and then the enemy hit him and pika slammed into the ground.

How can you all hate pikachu so much?
What does he do in the show? I've watched one of the later shows and all he did was go "Pika Pi!" and look cute. Then, he blasted away Team Rocket. Yeah, I don't get it.

{pikachu} how can you hate this face?

It didn't bother me in Yellow. I thought it was funny to check on his mood, especially when he had the hearts around him. That was cute. It was also fun to make him sleep or POISON :twisted: him.
