What do you think of Pikachu? I think he is really anoying on the anime yet on the game (apart from yellow on yellow hes the most anoying thing in the world...) i see him as just a weird looking fat pokemon that makes weird noises when you poke it.

I have Yellow and Pikachu really is so incredibly annoying!
I have watched the anime and there are 2 pokemon that spoil it
(Pikachu and Wobuffet)

In Yellow I trained my Pikachu up a lot and my rival chose Jolteon.
My Pikachu was about 10 levels higher than his Jolteon, but it was still stronger than my Pikachu!!!

By the way I traded my Pikachu to Crystal (via N64 and Transfer Pack)
So I could evole it and then I found it was holding a Light Ball!?

i think that theory is true u do get a lightball from yellow cuz it worked for me

I'm new to the fourms. I've came to psypoke in 2003. and pokemon yellow sounded good and now i've had it for a few years and i restarted recently and yes Pikachu isn't the best. my Mew owns it easy in staduim 1. But i like it and i'm now trying to teach it surf though the N64. I think it's okay.

In the Anime thoughh it sucks it beats alot of pokemon not only that but i's like to see it get handed to giovani one of these days have him keep it for 4-5 episodes and then stage a rebbelion and destroy team rocket. only to have the rockets return in the next season.

Ever since i found psypoke i've been dying to complete a pokedex without cheating too much only getting the legendarys i can't get normally. Event pokemon to say the most. + if you trade your pickachu from yellow to gold and trade it back to yellow will it still follow you and talk like a pikachu? It's a hard to train pokemon thats why i also use my mew.

If you're watching the current anime, Ash's Pikachu is rather experienced, and probably a high level. Also, it was supposed to be special once upon a time.

It's all about training and levelling your numbers. Yes, you can't evolve it, the one detail that upsets you. But it's based from the anime (not to mention it's a Pikachu edition out right) so you're expected to give it that boost. Sooner or later with a little hard work, it'd be your best pokemon 10 levels above everything else on your team. If your like me and take your time, I had Pikachu at around level 70 and it wiped the floor with the Elites.

I bought Yellow, knowing it was a Pikachu edition, because I personally liked the idea of Pikachu following me around like the anime. If you didn't like Pikachu, why play it? Red and Blue were enough to finish the pokedex.
