Has anyone noticed about the Legendary Birds?

There's something strange about the names of the legendary birds.
Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres all have Spanish numbers on the end of their names. Uno is one, Dos is two and Tres is three.    |

BUT... why is Articuno 1 when it is not the best? Then again, Zapuno, Articdos.... AHH, snowball, lock this, please.

Uno, dos, tres being numerical, silly. Articuno is #144, Zapdos is #145, and Moltres #146. It's based on their Pokedex number.

Well Nintendo is infamous for putting supid puns in pkmn names. Like Typhlosion; a mix of typhoon and explosion. Or Magmar; Magma. But I think the worst name puns belong to the d/p fire starters; Chimchar, Monferno, Infernape. :roll:

There are also a few topics around (I think in Pokemon Center forum section) that speculates about Pokemon name meanings.
