Anybody catch up on the latest update?

There's good news and bad news concerning Darkrai. The bad news is that Darkrai is indeed obtainable by using Mystery Gift at theaters in Japan showing the new Pokemon movie.

The good (I suppose) news? You get Darkrai himself, not just the item necessary to execute the Darkrai quest. He's even got the signature moves of both Palkia and Dialga.

How's that good news? There's plenty of reasons. For one, this does verify for anyone wondering that the Mystery Gift function will be used for Nintendo promotions. Seemed pretty obvious, but that leads us to number two: Nintendo has left open the option of using Darkrai's item (whatever is used to start his quest) for other events entirely. Sure, the Japanese get a very special Darkrai, but at least it doesn't mean that's the ONLY way to get one. A WiFi Mystery Gift from Nintendo will likely open up Darkrai for capture worldwide, perhaps once DP isn't just out in the US and Japan (or wherever else has it, I believe Europe still doesn't).

Not the best news, but I'm not mad about this.

Well, if they do a similar thing in the US, you may not even need to go see the movie to get it, just be near the theater.

That will also make a bunch of totally legit Darkrai available for trade though.

WHY!? all pokemon movies besides the 1st completely suck! it wont be cool and the only thing that would be good about it is getting darkrai....i rest my case...........................................................................lol

Okay, five things have been made really clear in this thread.
1. The anime sucks
2. Almost no one wants to go to the movie, even if it REALLY does give you darkrai.
3. ditto_lover_4_life has no life
4. Alkhazor is not going to be an award winning author anytime soon.
5. Cartman Rox965 has a good taste in movies.

So does this thread really need to be kept up, even when you can catch a legit Darkrai with AR? (No lie, seriously) I think every thing that needs to be said has been, so let's only post news on Darkrai, not rant about how unfair it is that we have to go see some stupid movie just to get the coolest looking Legendary ever made.

2. Regarding Mystery Gift, I think that this is a big step in the right direction. But I have a feeling that we'll be getting the item instead of the actual Darkrai.

3. Call me crazy, but I check Nintendo's Wi-Fi Mystery Gift everyday. I know it dosen't do anything at all, but it's a good way to check to see if my internet's working or not.

It also looks like you're trying to link your card using a local copy of the file. I'd suggest copying it to an online hosting service (Imageshack orPhotobucket come to mind) and then using that as a link, instead of what you have currently.

For that, you need to find the site you want to use to store images, then go there, sign up for an account, then upload your file: You'll be given the filename as an http:// link to use. Use that instead of the path you have for the image currently.

Just because it's being released in Japan doesn't mean we're not going to get it. If it's comming with the newest Pokémon movie, perhaps we'll just have to wait until it's in theaters here.

Speaking of...does anyone have a release date on when this movie is gonna air in America? Or is it going to be another one of those Cartoon Network only movies?
