According to Game Informer:

"Recently the president of SNK revealed that Nintendo is restricting companies from adding online functionalility to their Wii games - whether on the Virtual Console or regular titles - until after 2007. Nintendo itself has only one online title announced, and that is Pokemon Battle Revolution." (GameInformer. Page 28. May 2007.)

Thought you'd like to know.

What will this spell for PBR for the US?

since nintendo planned it, they will still have it out ontime, but it will be the only wifi game for the wii until next year(probably so that people with a wii bent on testing their skills against the worl asap will have to become pokemon fans?)

Could also be a way to test their online capabilities...

Pokemon is one of nintendo's number 1 franchises... as such loads of people will play... maybe they are holding people off from online just to see what kind of response they can get from said franchise.

How many pokemon players are there?
Are they actually prepared to accommodate such mass?
Are there enough Wii in the world for the pokemon fans?
Wut is the plural of Wii?

Lets face it, any number of reasons why nintendo would do anything... i mean... they changed the Revolution to the Wii!

Either way... i'm gonna go play with my wii now... maybe my friends will play with it later, an i'm gonna give up on why nintendo does what nintendo does :P
