That's just their cover, lol....

They're really planning on overthrowing him for picking such an easy type to beat.

Anyway, he was easy. I beat him. (duh.) The end.

Yeah but not if you knock them out before they can go into effect ;]

Except if you get screwed by Nido's Poison Point (which, by the way, I love, lol)

Nah, he has to have psychic pokemon. I mean, how do you think those walls became invisible?

It's special material that can be created only in the alternate Earth that is the pokemon world. This material is both see-through, and impact-resistant.

I don't think its the fact that he has Pokemon that don't suit the type, I think it is more to do with the theme of the gym. Ninjas. Don't ask me how Hypno and Kadabra represents ninjas, but I suppose their trickery has something to do with it. And it is that trickery that then leads you to believe that Koga will also use a variety of poison types. So, the ninjaness comes from the trickery side of things, hence Koga's typage.

That's my theory anyway. :P

I can see how Kadabra goes with ninjas because of high speed, but Hypno and Drowzee are outrageously slow, so why them? Two words: Poison Gas. Because of that move and good attacks, they are in there. Stupid Hypnos.

All the pokemon in that gym have SOME way of inflicting a status condition.
Kadabra Syncronize/Thunder Wave/Confusion/Psybeam
Drowzee/Hypno Poison Gas/Swagger/Hypnosis/confusion
Sandshrew/slash Poison Sting
Ekans/Arbok Glare/Poison Sting
Venonat/moth Supersonic/Poisonpowder/Stun Spore/Sleep Powder
Koffing/Weezing Poison Gas/Smog/Sludge
Grimer/Muk Poison Gas/Sludge/Sludge Bomb

Does any of the trainers have a Mr.Mime?
If one of them does thats your invisible wall maker.

Eh... I was just meaning how it's "labeled" as a Poison gym when really it's more like a Status Infliction Paradise. *shrug*

They can't overthrow Koga. If the Gym Trainers try to get to him they hit a wall. SMACK!

I don't think anyone with a Hypno is going to overthrow anybody anytime soon.

If they tried really hard and actually put some sense into it, they just might. Haha. Besides. How hard can it be to beat a friggin Weezing and Muk? They're so easy, puh-lease.

Sorry for using a reference to the Hoenn gyms, but Norman and his trainers use normal pokemon, but it's labeled as an item gym(If that makes any sense). I don't remember anywhere in the game that said it was a poison gym. People make that assemption because Koga's whole team is poison, but really they all inflict a certain kind of status infliction. Any help?

Well the Gyms do have certain themes, but they are still usually classified by type rather than themes.

Its a lot like the Elite Four in D/P, the people have their key type, but 1 or 2 of their pokemon are thrown in the mix for no apparent reason. They want to offset any superadvantage that you have.
