Get legendary birds to help you. E4 is tough.

It is hard i agree. Not meaning to brag, but i beat them my first time on my current game  . My advice is to keep training and get your party's level all leveled out. I use the first 6 poke's i catch.

Here's some info:
Lorelie's Lapras has the Water Absorb ability
Bruno's Machamp knows Rockslide
Agatha's first Gengar knows DoubleTeam and her Arbok knows IronTail
Lances first pokemon is Gyrados(so send out a fast elec pokemon because Gyrados knows Earthquake)

Thats all i can think of to help ya right now

I'd recommend Zapdos against Lance's Gyarados. Earthquake can't touch it! Better still, it's speedy with very high Special Attack. You can also use it against Lorelei if you teach it Steel Wing and Thunderbolt, and it also tends to wipe out your rival's Blastoise as well.

A powerful Psychic type will sweep Bruno and Agatha pretty well, I'd recommend an Alakazam with Psychic. Double Team won't matter much if your Pokemon can outpace their opponents, so use speedy Pokemon against Agatha.

Apart from that, the best advice I can give is to balance your team to avoid too many common type weaknesses, since the Elites and especially your Rival will have good sweeping movesets, and to train your Pokemon above level 50. I found the League to be an immense challenge, especially the second time, so be sure to check the Elites Guide and select strong Pokemon with moves that are super effective against your opponents.

I know this probably wont help you unless you have all starters but u can sub in same type pokemon to take the place of Blastoise and Venusaur

MY hall of fame first time:
Zapdos (LVL.55)-drill peck+t-wave+thunderbolt+thunder
Blastoise (LVL.53)-surf+HydroCannon+Blizzard+CantRemember.maybeSkull bash
Venusaur (lvl.52)-SolarBeam+SleepPowder+LeechSeed+FrenzyPlant
Moltres (lvl.52)-FireSpin+Flamethrower+Overheat+agility
Charizard (LVL.54)-Flamethrower+fireblast+BlastBurn+wingAttack
Dragonair (lvl.48)IT basically doesnt madder because i only brought him to level him up because i had EXP.SHARE given to him!

This is really a good thing to do if you want to defeat the E4 as fast as possible, you should use a Raichu, Pikachu is easily obtained in the beginning of the game. It can do wonders against Lorelei and Lance. Legendaries are also good, especially the birds, (Moltres, and Articuno) and of course Mewtwo. Other than that I'd advise you to use Pokèmon caught early on in the game, but they can't be really bad (like Caterpie, for example). Mankey is, in my opinion, a real bummer. Primeape won't that useful in the E4 and really hard to train before it.

That's what I have to say! I've always used long time to defeat the E4, and that's because I don't have the patience to train all the time. Never skip trainers, and get your poke's up to at least lvl 55. Good luck!

I beat the elite 4 with one level 60 and the rest were in thier 40s. The key thing to beating the elite4 the first time is to buy tons of full restores and revives.

You can easliy defeat the Elite Four with a team of lvl 52 Pokemon. Heck, with enough strategy, even lvl 50 works!

Just make sure you have at least 20-30 Full Restores and 15-25 Revives. Use tactics as much as possible, and don't be afraid to use some of your TMs.

Also, I advise choosing a team of six Pokemon before you start the game, and get those Pokemon as quickly as possible. Most Pokemon can be found before lvl 28, so unless you plan on using Legendaries, there shouldn't be a problem.

Finally, don't be afraid to use your favourites against the E4. Something like Beedrill can be a good pawn, useful for stalling a turn while healing/reviving. Also, it's hilarious when you Endevour at 1 HP!

I try to get all my Pokemon to Lvl. 55. I had a Jynx, Venusaur and Raticate when I beat it. Zapdos with Thunder is a good one to use too.

I used the legendary birds, My Blastois, Dragonite and pidgeot. I won but you need a lot of revive, full heal and hyper potions.

Well, Go catch a Nidorino in the Safari zone, go get articuno (however Zapdos is good to, I went with Articuno beacause i like it, but pick whatever you want.), then, Get a Slowbro. Yes, a Slowbro. Its an awsome pokemon if you train it up, Actually its my most powerfull non-legendary. Try giving your charizard Flametrower,Steelwing,Heatwave,Blast burn... you could give it a flying attack for stab, but there really aren't many good flying attcks out there... oh yah EVOlVE THAT NIDORINO! Then use your most powerfull pokemon and bring lots of Revives/ Full restores. This should get you through the E4.... i hate the E4.... I actually had an adrenaline rush when i was battling my rival... I thought, you faint me now and I am going to SELL MY GAME!!!!!! Good thing i beat him
