Generally, I choose places to train not only according to the levels of the wild Pokemon found there, but also their type and the EVs they award. I like to train against wild Pokemon that have a type disadvantage against my own (this avoids injury and the need for frequent healing), and award appropriate EV points. (Check the Psydex if you don't know which Pokemon award which EVs.)

Depending on your Pokemon and your training method, you may not want to train against wild Pokemon. It may be better to train against other Trainers, which have Pokemon ranging from levels as low as 9 or 10 (Bug Catcher near Mt Moon) to the Elite Four and Champion, which have Pokemon higher than level 60 (on the second challenge). If you decide to train against other Trainers, it's always best to remember which Trainers have higher levelled Pokemon and which Trainers are a piece of cake. If you still get stuck, there's always the EXP. Share.

Best place for me was the group of bikers at the top of Cycling Road. I was training a Kadabra there and managed to get it to the fifties, by Psybeam alone, knocking out their Fighting and Poison types. That would be good for your Hypno. Use the Versus Seeker, or if you don't have it, you get it from the girl in Vermillion in the Pokemon Centre.

The place I train at is Seven Island. I go to the Chansey House (it's pretty far down there), and use the Vs. Seeker on the two trainers outside of the house. When my pokemon are worn out, I go inside the Chansey House, do the Chansey Dance, and my pokemon are healed. I usually do this to level up my pokemon to 100. (It usually takes 2-3 hours, depending on what kind of pokemon you're training.)

He said that he was training for the Elite4 so that means he doesn't have acess to the 7 islands......I just battled people in victory road over and over again......the male and female cool trainers who are like back-to-back are the trainers i battle against....

Three Island is a great place for all your Pokemon (if Golduck knows Ice Beam, which I would recommend) and especially your legendary birds... but too many birds and you're toast against the Electric and Rock type. Charizard, Articuno and Moltres all have 4x weakness against Rock. (If you bring these ones in again for the Elite Four's second round, you'll be history against your Rival's Tyranitar.) Maybe use a Ground type or Grass type instead of two Fire/Flying types? Good old Golem has great defence. (Or teach Charizard Earthquake.)

EXP Share isn't going to work if you're training up for your Elite 4 battle... I just trained my team on Islands 1, 2 and 3 (choosing different training grounds based on type) until they were tough as nails, then swept the match. Most importantly, I made sure my team had Pokemon with type advantages against each of the Elite Four (Fighting moves are great against both Ice and Rock), and good moveset variety for beating the Champ.

And, at the foot of Mount Ember is a group of Crush Trainers. They'd be great for training your Hypno.

My favourite place to train is in Sevault Canyon Entrance (Seven Island). There are two pokemon rangers there whom I suspect where put there specifically by the programmers for E.V. training: the left hand ranger (male) has {victreebel} x2, which give 3 attk E.V.s each, while the right hand one (female) has {vileplume} x2, which give 3 spec. attk E.V.s each. The first time you battle them their pokemon are low fities level, the second time they are at level 55. Perfect!

victory road, vs. seeker on islands 5, 6, and 7

Pretty much, the later in the game, the higher their levels.

Also, get a lucky egg (random chansey - doubles exp received).

Thoes are so hard to get. My brother gopt one with the first {chansey} he captured. I have caught about 30 (and they aren't exactly common either)m, and I still don't have one. Also, if you mill around the whole region using the Versus Seeker, the trainers' Pokemon' levels go up, so if you keep batrtling a certain one, (or two), the then eventually the trainers' Pokemon will be the same level as yours. That was a mouthful

how do u gain access to island 7 is it sumthing at a nintendo event or is it after the elite four and the national pokedex part

You need to beat the E4 and have 60 poke on your dex and the National Dex from Prof.Oak.

I would just go at it with the E4 until you get what you want - if you trade your pokemon to another game & fight the E4 that's even better. That's what I'm doing in Emerald. I'm trying to complete my Hoenn dex - so I traded over hard to train Pokemon over to Ruby & I'm fighting the E4 there. I'm almost done.
