Hey, I'm re-playing Crystal, because my "save file was corrupted". GS for me are both "timed out", and it can't save a game.

To make life easier on me, which Pokemon are available only in Crystal? Meaning which ones will I have to trade for to get them in Crystal?

Thanks in advance.

AEPMT :D :) :P 8-)

No Pokemon is available in Crystal that isn't available in GS or RBY, but I can tell you some Pokemon that aren't in Crystal:

Mankey
Vulpix
Mareep
Girafarig
Growlithe
Bulbasaur, Omanyte, etc. (the RBY starters, legends, and fossils).
^and evos of all of the above.

I think there are a few more but they don't come to mind. I have a book lying around somewhere with a list...

Thanks, DNA, I knew about the fossils, legends, and starters. But this helps, because it tells me which games to put in my rechargeable SP, so I can keep the game going long enough to trade them...

(You see how much of a pain it is for me! :frustrated: )

Thanks again, hopefully this will help me in the long run...

Oh, what about Spinarak?

AEPMT :D :) 8-)

Ah, I remember this one.

Yes, both Spinarak and Ledyba exist in Crystal (Ledyba: morning only, Spinarak: night only). They appear in the same places, just at different times of day.

That could be why I didn't find it. My Crystal is acting up to the point where only when you play it does time pass.

Ah, well, at least it's better than not being able to save, which would help me with my collection a lot...

Thanks again!

Arggh! :frustrated: My "save file is corrupted" again! So it doesn't happen again, and so I don't waste all the help you guys have given me, how can I prevent it from happening again?

The conditions are that my Crystal only advances in time when I'm playing it. It was doing fine before now, but I just turned it on to play it, and it supplied "save file is corrupted!"

For the record, I want to try and do it without replacing the battery, because that isn't easy from the sounds of it (although Krisp's guide makes it seem simple...).

Thanks [again!] in advance.
