It is a good place to catch some pokemon.
however don't go for one ceartain pokemon.

dunno wat u think about safari zone in FR/LG i wasted all me balls for just 1 nidorino:S and still got none wtf:S what u think is safari zone just 1 big cheat or u don`t think its a big cheat? |

I find the Safari Zone boring, personally. I only tolerate it so that I can get a Tauros. I couldn't bother with a Chansey, and Kangaskhan aren't worth the trouble of running around looking for. |

I had to edit several posts in this thread. I am extremely upset that we must taunt people whose native language is not English. They are learning and trying to contribute to our forums, and what do you guys do? You mock them? You should all be ashamed of yourselves. brian created a topic that has good potential, and you likely hurt his feelings. He said he hates English, and yet he's trying to make discussion here. Way to go, guys. I myself also hate the Safari Zone; the only time I would enter it, is for the story line. If I caught rare monsters, then that was cool; however, I never entered it for the sole reason of trying to catch PkMn. |

How could you not go in just searching for one PKMN? I went in looking for a Pinsir & saw & lost 11 of 'em before I finally caught one. Still don't have that Chansey. What's the appropiate combo of rocks & food? If I throw some food at her, she runs away! I don't dare risk throwing a rock, then she'll get upset! Why oh why can't I catch Chansey? Maybe I'll just trade my lvl 5 from Emerald so I can level it up a lot & get Blissey. |

I saw a shiny paras in the safari zone earlier today, but it ran after 1 pokeball !!!!!!!!!!! That was my 1st shiny ever on leafgreen, too! |

I have yet t osee any Shiny PKMN in any version I have. The only Shiny I have ever seen (as well as everybody else who owns Gold) is Red Gyrados, whom I have killed every time I encounter it.  And all the Chansey's I see run after one piece of bait & one Pokeball.

Dude, it's all down to percentages. Chuck a Poke Ball, and it might work. Or it might not. Then it will run away. Think about it this way. You can either: ---->It captures it Chuck a ball ----->It doesn't OR ------It stays. Chuck bait ----------It runs away. Throwing balls is better than bait, because the time you chuck bait may well have been the time when you would have captured it.

 The Obsidian Wolf, throw the ball, every single time. It took me many, many hours of trying, but I eventually caught myself a Chansey, finishing off the Safari Zone of all the ones I needed. In general, though, the only pokemon that interests me is Dratini. It's an interesting way to include rare pokemon into the game, without having them be involved in any "wild" areas.

I'm trying to find a Lucky Egg at the moment, and I've caught 11 Chanseys so far. It seems to me that baiting once followed by Safari Balls works best; although I really can't be sure. Update: 20 minutes later and I catch my twelfth Chansey. To my surprise, it's holding a Lucky Egg! Now to make a special box just for my Chanseys.. (Total time: 5 1/2 hours) |

Anywho, I can't be bothered getting all of those pokemon out of the Safari Zone. I just rare ones like Tauros, Chansey, and Kangaskhan over from XD. |

A GOLDEEN its the only shiny i've ever seen!!! Yes, he did catch it. Anyway, I wish that the safari zone was easier. But, it is a way to fill up the dex - i got an exeggcute and evolved immediately, so I added two pokemon to my dex. The only 2 that I have left to catch are Tauros and Chansey. |
