Just wondering (again)...

which did you choose, {kabuto} or {omanyte}?

I chose {kabuto}, because of {kabutops}.

I like Omanyte, just because Omastar has a better moveset than Kabutops.

Nature: Adamant
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
~Rain Dance
~Surf
~Ice Beam
~HP Grass

Kabutops only works as a mixed Sweeper.

I do agree with papersun that Omastar is better overall, but I tend to choose Kabuto because Kabutops looks much cooler than that snail-like thing :P

I can't decide nowadays. I used to like Omanyte better, but now I like Kabutops way more. Omastar is better though, so I just perform an amazing technique to decide:

'Eeniee-meeniee-miney-moe!'

<font color=ACEACE>Spiky Shell Dude is probably better than Mr. Sword Hands. Though a good Kabutops can be achieved using physical attacks:

Personally, Kabutops looks cooler, but Omastar is less worthless (as opposed to 'more valuable' because that's kind of contradictory when applied to either) in battle. However, you'd probably be better off not using either; lots of Water Pokemon aren't as slow as Omastar or don't have the Special Defense of Kabutops, not to mention the obvious 4x weakness to a common Water killer...

I never really liked ground/water such as {marshtomp} or rock/water such as {relicanth} pkmn anyway, because of there resistence to water is gone and thier x4 to grass. I just thought {omastar} looked cool.

I voted for {kabuto} It's the one I always pick. I just like what I looks like, moreso than the other anyhow. I don't use my fossil pokemon though.

I chose Kabuto on FireRed becasue I like Kabutops. But then I chose Omanyte on LeafGreen because I like Omastar. I just can't decide which one's my favorite!

it depends really...
{kabuto}/{kabutops} used to slightly better than {omanyte}/{omastar},
as {kabuto}/{kabutops} used to have Hydro Pump, and Slash,
whereas {omanyte}/{omastar} used to have Hydro Pump and Horn Attack,

now, they've got rid of Hydro Pump with {kabuto}/{kabutops}, and replaced it with Megadrain(Ooo 40 atk), which in my eyes, has degraded it...

but {omanyte}/{omastar} has still got Hydro Pump, but they've got rid of Horn Attack(oh no.), but {omanyte}/{omastar} can learn better TM's/HM's. this would have to be my choice, (as it has been in RBY and LG) but to be honest, for a water pokemon, omastar wouldn't be my #1 choice,

Oh dear i'm confused... Well on my LG game I got {omanyte} which evolwed not too long ago. {omastar} can learn hydro pump naturally and that's one reason. 2nd reason is that im cooperating with my friend, who has {kabuto}.
But personally i can't decide so i'm not voting.

it depends on your party really. If you have too many tanks/hazers/annoyers then {kabuto} because it has higher Attack and Speed. If you have too many sweepers then {omanyte} because it has high Defense/Sp. Defense/Sp. attack. Dont mean to sound like a braniac on pokemon roles or anything but thats the way i choose.
