Mine was a Chansey. My friend had loads of cards, and since Chansey was my favourite Pokemon I asked him for one and he gave it to me. I never really got interested in the TCG though; I was merely collecting the cards for their pictures

I don't have a first card, I bought the original starter set, Water Blast, Power Reserve and Bodyguard at the same time. But I think the first card I saw was charmander. |

The first card I ever got was... well actually I bought the starter set. This was in fourth grade, so about six years ago I'm gonna say. All my good friends had Pokemon cards so I figured I'd try it and see what it was all about. The first card I saw was the holo Machamp, which I still have to this day, along with most of my other cards. A few weeks after buying the starter set, I went out and bought a GBC w/ Pokemon Blue combo, and about then was when I got hooked. As of late, I haven't played much however. |

That sucks.  I have my first card encased in three layers of plastic sleeves, as well as placed in one of those hard plastic covers. I know, I'm paranoid.
