Ok todat, me and my friend were buying Pokémon booster cards, and we both got a Magneton. Mine was okay and had 80 HP. His had 800 Hp. It was in a Majestic Dawn Pack and there were two so we split them. His was a metal type like mine.

Is this a misprint or a fake?

EDIT: If it helps, it was in the one with Garchomp on it.

Well, where did you buy these packs from? Was it a well known chain like Toys R Us, or did you get it from a local store?

If it was a local store, look at the rest of the products they sell. If they seem to be of poor standards, or obvious clones of real products, then odds are the cards you purchased were fake.

If it was a big chain store, that is an authentic error card.

I am not big on cards anymore, but I think there is a number somewhere on the card that helps identify what number the card is in a set. If you could look up the set it came from (the one from the pack you bought) and see what card has the number, it could help you tell.

We bought it from a local store. Both my Magnetons were fake (Spelled 'Magnteton) But the other 13 were real. I'll see what number it is.

If you bought all these cards from the same store, then all of them are fake. I've never seen a case where you get some fake and some real from the same store.

I have found more fakes in it. Riolu (Pokemon) and 2 Piloswines (Tiny Mouse Pokémon)

The shelgon seems real.

I'd say they're all fakes. Incidentally is that the one with the GRAchomp in it instead of the GaRchomp? (the appearance of the cards that should be holographic and the 'normal' energy requirements are also a dead giveaway in these ones that they're fakes. If they're the other ones, the pack had at least one card from a different set and tended to have nine cards instead of the ten that were supposed to be in the Diamond and Pearl series packets, and the reverse holo cards just looked Ugly!

P.S. Frost put up a lovely post on fakes too ;) (nvm, I see you've already seen that one now)

They are all probably Fake I got A pack with 5 Fake Base Set pokemon and 5 Fake HG/SS Unleashed
