Another topic by me in hopes of sparking some sort of intelligent conversation about the Anime other than scheduling or how hot May is... What was your favorite season?

I'd have to say the original Indigo League was still my favorite. The show had a lot of character even if it wasn't necessarily deep. The side quests were all weaved with interesting plots, and a lot of the best episodes of the entire shows were in the beginning. They skipped a lot of details from around the middle of RBY and sped through the towns like nothing, but the pacing was still WAY better than the three torturous years of Johto. The cast was all spectacular and still-fresh: Team Rocket was always doing something cool, whether James was getting married to an insane southern rich girl or they were riding their unicycles off a bridge in a thunderstorm. Misty's hidden love angle and Brock's obsession with girls weren't so painfully stale yet, and Ash's naivety brought on some of the funniest lines of the show ("She's trying to use perverse psychology on me!" ...even though that was an Orange episode). All in all, it was the greatest time of the show.

A close second to Indigo would be Pokemon Advanced, as it finally took some effort to rebuild the show after the Orange Islands (which were pretty good, but lamer in comparison to the Kanto League) and the atricous, long-winded three year saga of the Johto League. Ash had finally grown up a little, newcomer May finally saw the end of the incredibly stale Misty, and Brock came along to offer guidance. Team Rocket started doing more interesting things (including starring in the best episode of the 350+ the show has produced thusfar), and everybody got new Pokemon. Filler episodes actually served a purpose, and everybody started over with new Pokemon. The paciing was a LOT better than the Johto episodes, too, where it wouldn't be uncommon for 20 episodes to go by without a single Gym Battle. Pokemon Advance is my second favorite season, and thankfully brought back some of the coolness of the old school days.

I liked the indigo era. You could just look at a pokemon and tell what it was, instead of having 386 pokemon. And ash was way cooler then.

<font color=ACEACE>Although I havn't seen many episodes from the Pokemon Advance season, I like it the best. I think it was because Misty left, I didn't really like here. Ash, Pikachu, Brock, May, and that other dude was the best gang out the the lot. I also think it had a little more humor than other seasons, I also think that the theme song is the best from this season than another season, by far. Though the others ones are the best.

Though I think that Pokemon is getting a bit old and repeditive, in some aspects. The show is still good, though I think they need to change the Rocket Theme Song, the theme song is good but old. Also it is always the same 'Pikachu! Use ThunderBolt!' And then Team Rocket blows up and goes blasting off again. It was fun the first couple of times though it is getting pretty old, the plot is basically the same each episode for Team Rocket. They need to do something fresh. It did get a bit better in the Pokemon Advance Generation with the introduction of Team Aqua/Magma. In the future I think they should give Team Rocket a break to go think of some real plans for taking Pikachu, and to create a new theme song.

I havn't seen any of the new episodes that have come out in the last couple of months so I wonder how things have change up until then.

Well ash caught a torkoal!! thank god. but my favorite times were.............. well all the eras, never gets boring to me, all though my favorite episode was in the first era, It was the one with bruno and the Giant Onix. I know the name of it just cant spell it.

I like the Advanced Generation, because Ash seems to be a little easier to watch, though it (or Max) is a real pain.

Indigo. The episodes get boring after a while, so Indigo, being the first in the series, had the most creative stories.

I like the advanced series alot because of the referrances to sapphire and ruby. It's an awesome series with memorable characters. I can't believe brock has stayed the same ever since Indigo. XP

i like the originals the best, the theme song rocked, even a n00b knew which pokemon were on there and it has the second best movie, (second movie was better because it has 4 of the legendary flying pokemon) although it is strange that porygon is never on any episode at all...

Porygon was on an episode called "Electric Soldier Porygon" which only aired in Japan and ended up giving hundreds of Japanese kids Seizers meaning they never aired it anywhere else. You can find it on the internet with the flashing lights slowed down though.

I pretty much like them all accept Orage Islands!!!! Tracy sucks compared to brock even with a Scyther. And i didnt really like the gyms there.

Those generation are nice but i think that the battle frontier will probably be the best :shock:

I liked them all in their own way. What I don't like, however, is those episodes where they just make an episode simply to showcase a new Pokemon. That was like what happened in 70% of the Johto series X_x Thankfully they toned it down a little in Advance Generation.

i like the new ones because i just got into pokemon again... i watched the indigo but it wasn't good compared to the games and since ruby/sapphire suck the series is good. The text in ruby and sapphire is horrible

Indigo, I liked Ash's team most, (I do miss Squirtle and Pidgeot, Charizard and maybe even Butterfree).
I liked his companions the most, Misty and Brock.
It was just more fun, and inventive.

Max is really annoying.
May is just.. Well.. She's not Misty, she's probably likeable, but Misty didn't wonder about everything, making the show focus more on Ash, which is good because he's the star, but with May in the picture, they have to make time for her.

Well, having only seen Indigo, Orange and Johto Journey's I'll vote Indigo. Ah, remeber the day when there were no exclamation marks (!) in the title? They are beginning to annoy me. It's all !!! this and !!!!!!!!! that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
