In Yellow, tackle is a basic move for Gyarados, (I guess because of the level 15 Gyaradoses in that guy's pond in Fuschia) and I don't think they learn thrash, and it's definitely not a basic move. |

I'd love to look into this, but I honestly have no idea what the hell you mean by "basic move." When you evolve a Magikarp after level 15, Gyarados will have Tackle since Magikarp had it. Thrash is a move that a wild Gyarados will come with, unless you find one that is at LEAST level 41. |

Yeah, if "basic move" means what I think it does, thrash definately is. |
