I never really took interest in this... I always just fought whom I knew gave me the most exp. from battling so many times.

Well... the single best way is to beat 6 Level 100 Chanseys in a buddies secret base while equipped with the Lucky Egg

This results in (I think): 65571 XP, moreso if the pokemon being leveled is traded (98357 XP)

now thats a lot, thats only *10 battles to get a million XP.... even faster if said Chanseys were traded to another cart... so more than 1 secret base has them... plus Chansey is much weaker than Blissey (obviously)

Assuming my math is right 255/7*100*6*1.5 Trainer(*2 LEgg)(*1.5 Trade)

im not sure if ne1 mentioned this but after u defeat the game (and u find that E4 are really easy), have exp share and are trying to to ur dex just keep fighting e4 untill the weak pokemon has lvled enough times this also get u heaps of money not a great idea for pokemon u want to keep but great for filling up those blanks in the pokedex thats my idea

Yeah, that's mentioned in it somewhere. The easier ways of leveling up Pokemon were meant for training them for battle and filling out the Dex. From the way the guide mentions it more than often, it gives the impression for battle because most people take leveling up seriously when it's for a battle, not as much when they want to level up a Pokemon that they think isn't as good as another. The EV's matter to most people when they take leveling up seriously.

This guide is very useful; I usually get Exp. by fighting mu friends in their bases, several of whom have level 100 pkmn that I can beat somehow using Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza (all in 70's) to get a lot. Also, I once saw someone who had around 50 or 60 level 100 pkmn in his Ruby, apparently from beating the Elite 4 several hundred times. He claimed he didn't cheat, but I doubt it. Do you think it's possible?

Post subject:

It is very possible. However, it would consume quite some time.

And thanks. :P

I have a question that I guess has to do with leveling up. Can a Pokemon, say Breloom, learn a move that it can only learn in its first stage (like Giga Drain) and a move that it learns at the same level as its second stage (like Mind Reader)? What I mean is Shroomish learns Giga Drain at Level 45 and Breloom learns Mind Reader at Level 45, but Shroomish nor Breloom learns both Giga Drain and Mind Reader. If I evolve Shroomish at Level 45, will it learn both?

Post subject:

Yes, it can learn both by evolving it at that level.

Wow... last post is a long time ago... hope someone will still answer...

How can I find out the Exp. needed for the next level? Like total xp needed for level 6, for level 7, and so on.

For the different amounts of experience for each level, there is an equation for a few of them. They are as follows:

600,000: No equation (rises slowly at first but evens out)
800,000: 4/5 * Level^3
1,000,000: Level^3
1,059,860: 6/5 * Level^3 - 15 * Level^2 + 100 * Level - 140
1,250,000: 5/4 * Level^3
1,640,000: No equation (rises quickly at first but becomes extremely long at the end)

For the differences between levels, simply subtract the amount of the previous one from the next one.

In pokemon Gold and Silver, if you equip a pokemon with exp share they gain double exp if they are the only ones battling.

another good trick for fast levelling up is to use mt battle in xd. go to the 10th stage with your low level pokemon in the first spot and a very strong pokemon in the second spot. the enemies almost always attack the stronger pokemon, so your weak pokemon will get loads of exp points (especially if it originated in a different game and you give it the lucky egg or exp share) while your strong pokemon kills the opponents. you can get from level 5 to about level 50 just from one trip through.

In GSC: You need to obtain the Red Scale that comes from battling the Red Gyrados in Lake of Rage. Go see Mr. Pokemon, and he will trade you your Red Scale for his EXP Share

In RSE: After you have delivered the Letter from Mr. Stone to Steven, go back to Rustboro to see Mr. Stone. He should give you the EXP Share

Nice guide. I accidentally left my Makuhita in the Day Care in my Sapphire Version too long, and god, did it come out strong.

In Diamond/Pearl there is an easy/kinda boring way to level up "lower" lvl pokemon. On the route right before Sunyshore City there is a fisherman with two lvl 40+ Gyarados. Even with the Exp. Share this is a prime location to lvl up pokemon you want to use before your first elite four debeut. Just dont forget to bring your vs. seeker!

Yep. I agreed to this Guide and needs to have attention.

I wonder if THERE are also GUIDES or POINTS about the "HAPPINESS" of each Pokemon.
I know the only clue for us to know if the base happiness of our Pokemon are high
is the Woman on the House in Verdanturf at the left house of Wanda.

I don't know! :?
