Looking at the results of Round 30, something has to be done to raise the popularity of the song game. Only one non-FEG member played last time. I'd like to remind all of you that there are not just Psybucks in this for everyone who plays, but a TC ribbon if you get even ONE song right.

For those unfamilliar with the game, here's how it works. I'm going to link you to an MP3 file (it's 624KB in size, so you dailup people can play too!). That file consists of 20 songs that have been chopped down to a few seconds and thrown together. All you have to do is tell me the name of the song and the artist that made it. You get Psybucks and a ribbon on your Trainer Card just for that.

This song game is going to be a little different though. Instead of attempting to avoid the lyrics of the song, I've used them. The lyrics are designed to flow together in such a way that you hear a line of the song, and then it cuts to the next song. That second song, however, begins with what would have been the next word of the first song. Here's an example:

The song "Jack and Diane" contains the line "Little ditty 'bout Jack and Diane" and the song "Mr. Jack" has the line "Hey Mr. Jack, is that the cause of your surprize?" Now, when we splice them together, we'd get "Little ditty 'bout Jack, is that the cause of your surprize?" or "Hey Mr. Jack and Diane," for example. Each time, the song would begin with one and then switch to the other at the work "Jack." Follow me?

However, do NOT see this as an invitation to google the lyrics. Play fair. It'll be pretty obvious if you're cheating, so don't even try it, m'kay.

Now, to help more people score points, this round will be answered in PM. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS HERE, PM THEM TO ME. You may answer as many of the 20 songs as you can.

Scoring will work like this. To start off, each song will be worth 3 points. You may answer all that you know. After a while, I'll post hints, and you can answer again with any songs you've now figured out and you'll receive 2 points for those. Right before the end there will be more hints, and you can answer again for 1 point per song.

Prizes will be as follows:
1st Place: 150 Psybucks, Song Game Champ ribbon
2nd Place: 100 Psybucks
3rd Place: 50 Psybucks

All players will receive 5 Psybucks for each correct song (unless they win a prize worth more for placing in the top 3) as well as the Song Game Participant ribbon for their trainer card.

Im not replying with me answers, ive got a few but im working more out.

How long until you give hints?/How long until the end of the whole thing?

Jigglypuff, I have a Mac, and can't access the file as you currently have it posted. Could you could PM it to me?

For some strange reason, neither can I. I think that may b the reason no one is participating - they can't access the file! I don't think PMing it to everyone would be the most practical solution, so maybe there's some way to fix it up?

Not to be annoying, as I'm sure you're busy with something, but it's been almost two weeks since you said that psybucks would be sent soon, and I haven't gotten mine yet (nor has anyone else, I think). Consider this a friendly-and-not-overly-concerned reminder, in case you've forgotten.

Heh. I got mine. This is the first time (or is it second?) that I'm entering, so I forgive Jiggly for missing me out. Now all I have to do is go apply for a change to my Trainer Card.

Speaking of which, maybe I'm the only person left who uses Psypoke official TCs?

I think the only people that use them now are the ones that actually have ribbons.
