This game is about guessing why a pokemon is named that way, sometimes they are pretty obvious but then they go directly to their culture origin and become quite hard. Let's begin:
Spoink
SCORE:
---------
(if you score only half of the origin name then that'll be half a point....i have the acurate origin's to every pokemon revealed...with some help of other sites, a good translator and friends...time limit for this one is a day!! also...if you onlt get half a point you can finish it...but only three guesses per pokemon)

Well, they should be female because "chick" is american slang for "girl."
For Bayleef, its name has "leef" in it, which sounds like "leaf" the things that grow on trees...
For Maginum, I can't think of a single thing. =x
Edit: Gardy1313 beat me to it -.-

Hum... chicory is a spice. Add that to Gardevoir1313's deduction and you get Chikorita.
Also, the female name from which Bayleef comes from is Baylee, I believe.

I'm just gona aim for Umbreon this time; anyway, Gardy1313 got the others right, I think.
Umbreon is Umbra, shadow of the dark side of the moon, and Eon, a long period of time. That Eon particle refers to this long period of time for all Eeveelutions.

that's right....umbreon is right...ok next time i will say if i need the definition on some parts of the name...
i'll give you 3 cause you were only to get 3 points this round (but you would have 3.5)
SCORE:
blackwind - 5.8
gard1313 - 3.7
7s_s - 2.5
next is:
feebas family
i'll give 5 points (milotic as to my point of view was WAY hard...it was the last i figured out with help of teachers and friends, feebas is woth 2 points...and milotic 3 points worth)
you can get up to the five points this round
time limit is 5 days...

Milotic is hard to figure out...
Feebas is supposed to be a feeble bass.Feeble,as in,weakminded and bass is a type of fish (Feebas has only one S at the end).

mr. mmj got Feebas; I'd like to add that Feebas, apart from being the combination of feeble and bass, like mmj said, is also meant to sound similar to "sea bass".
Milotic will require further analysis, I'll edit this when I come across a conclusion.
Finally, a theory. I was almost going to check this one out somewhere, but I couldn't: first, I have my pride (a big one, for that matter) and second, Milotic is one of my favourite Pokemon, I had to figure it out on my own.
My theory is: Milotic has something to do with "melodic", probably. "Milot" is the hard part. There's no such thing as "milot", not that I know of... But there is a thing called Milo. Venus de Milo, the statue of Aphrodite/Venus that represents beauty. Milotic is said to be the most beautiful of all Pokemon, so I guess it's kinda fitting...
So I guess that could be it... a mix of "melodic" and "Milo"... loooong shot besides, I'm not sure the creators of these names would use an artistic/historical reference in Pokemon (a children's anime), but oh well.
Milotic = Milo + melodic.
EDIT'ed
