Swampert is awesome but Typhlosion is my favourite starter so it isn't much of a choice for me.

Swampert is the best out of the third gen starters.
I never really cared for typhlosion.

Swampert {swampert}/Typhlosion {typhlosion}
Judging by usefulness in battles, Swampert has a bigger movepool of strong attacks - Water-type (eg. Surf), Ground-type (eg. Earthquake), & even Ice-type (eg. Ice Beam) attacks to cover its 4x Grass weakness. As for Typhlosion...Cool-looking? Yep. Large movepool? Not that much. I still like it, though.

Been voting for Typhlosion all along. Best Fire type starter in the game. / Swampert is cool, but not as cool as Typhlosion.

PS: Rules Note: The Final Round is traditionally held in a new topic, with a poll, and usually a several day (say, 3) time limit on the poll. That way everybody will get a reasonable chance to vote in the final round, and a poll is a much cleaner way to do the voting.

Typhlosion was my originally starter on my old Gold version. An awesome starter, being the only pure Fire type fully evolved starter, all around an awesome dude. You guys know why I don't like Swampert, the design off puts me.

My reasons for swampert, have already been stated. I do like typlosion but, i just dont use it that much, plus I cant vote for blastoise..

I love both, but it kinda makes me sad to see Swampert get so many Down votes. So, just to go against the flow (And my previous votes):

It seems as if my vote will make no difference, as {swampert} has already won (thanks, Wailord_2). However, I'm still voting.
I've used {swampert} before, but never {typhlosion}. {swampert} has a better movepool and typing than {typhlosion}. Plus, {charizard} is out. :(
I wish good luck to our two finalists: the Water turtle {blastoise} and the Water lizard-frog-thing {swampert}.

Sorry if I'm a few minutes late, but the results are in!

And I just use Swampert a lot more than Blastiose.

{typhlosion} got voted out. Other than him (and Venusaur), Gen 1 > all the rest. I voted for {blastoise}.
And remember, it's {swampert} in the final round, not {mudkip}!

Out of all the Gen I Pokemon, when I was a kid, the one I really wanted was a Blastoise. He's awesome, blue, and has two huge water guns cannons on his back. All this = EPIC. Some might argue that he's ugly, but then I look at Swampert, and.... 'nuff said ;-) . But really, even though I voted for Blastoise, I wouldn't be too disappointed if Swampert won, so it's win-win for me.

Definitely Blastoise {blastoise}! I mean definitely going DOWN! Ever since the 1st round, I voted against the fat turtle. Plus, I'm playing Charizard in my LeafGreen now, so I certainly hate Gary's Blastoise, who always gave me a hard time.
As for Swampert {swampert}...Beside what I said before, there's a little more to it...My first Pokemon game is Sapphire, so unlike many 'older' players I don't have the nostalgia feel for Gen I, but instead for Hoenn. (Though currently I'd used every starter BUT Mudkip)

Look, sorry for any confusion for the poll/tread issue, but I will tally the votes from the poll above, and not this tread.

So if you posted your vote on the tread but not the poll, either add it on the poll, or tough luck it wont be counted.




(Ok sorry if I was sounding mean above, but if I were to count the votes from the tread too, then it will most likely be unequal. So I'm only counting the poll votes. Feel free to say who you voted for on the tread, but only the poll votes are official.)

P.S. In case if by Wednsday there is a bizzare tie, then I'll find a quick way to solve it. No I wont say Blastoise wins because I'm hosting this :P
