Post subject:  Song Game Round 10

It's been a bit since the last round; my bad. Soooo to make up for it, I present you with Round 10, Plus One. I've also mixed up, in addition to my normal 10, 10 songs that I think you'll find quite challenging. Those 10 are worth 2 points. You can answer up to 3 song from either category, but you can't answer more than 5 songs total. So, you can go 3 normal and 2 special, or 2 normal and 3 special, but you can't go 3 and 3; that's a few too many points ;P

The normal round is rock songs, classic and modern.

The special round is all songs from video games. The games range from the Genesis and SNES to modern day. Many of these clips are taken from remixes, but I picked a part where you can clearly hear the main "theme" of the original song, or at least a recognisable part.

Numbering for normal round:
1.
2.
3. Green Day - American Idiot (Sneaky_Sneasel)
4. Sum 41 - Fat Lip (Flaming_Wuzzle)
5. Bad Company - Bad Company (Sneaky_Sneasel)
6.
7. REM-Shiny Happy People (Eighteen)
8. Linkin Park - Numb (Sneaky_Sneasel)
9. The Killers - Somebody Told Me (Flaming_Wuzzle)
10.

Special round:
11.
12. Zombies Ate My Neighbors - Game Remix (Skull Kid)
13.
14. Sonic 2 - Metropolis Zone (Skull Kid)
15. Ocarina of Time - Song of Storms (Mr. Saturn)
16. ToeJam and Earl - Main Theme (Skull Kid)
17. Mega Man X - Storm Eagle (Skull Kid)
18.
19. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle - E.G.G.M.A.N. (Mr. Saturn)
20. DDR - Drop the Bomb (dragonfan#149)

Of those 10, 3 are from games for the Genesis (though one was on SNES too, I'm told), 2 are from the N64, 2 are from DDR, 1 is from the PS2, 1 is from the GCN, and one is from the SNES exclusively.

Good luck!

[Edit]Songs are on the site now, rather than Geocities[/edit]

Total of 4 points to Skull Kid. Please read the rules next time before you spoil half the game.

I've posted the names of the songs from the OCRemix website. It's easier to identify that way.

I'll get the rest of the songs figured out tomarrow.

No, you won't. Read the rules before participating in a game next time.

Fine, I won't post them, but I'll still figure them out.

I don't understand why we can only post 3 though. If we know all of them, then why can't we post all of them? I saw some of those threads that had spaces left unfinished.

It's your thread and your rules though, so I'll say no more.

Because we don't want people pouncing on the thread when it's posted and answering all of them before us people with other things to do can get a chance.

Sorry Jigglypuff. I didn't mean to reply like that. My friend just went back to the hospital, so I'm not in a cheerful mood.

I am going to admit that I did not read the rules, and that is my fault. It will not happen again.

If you want me to make it up to you, I can help you make the next OCRemix demo when you're ready to make it. The only audio editor I have is Windows Movie Maker, and it's not the greatest program to use. I'll try to work on one though.

As long as we're on the subject, Audacity is an excellent free audio editor. It's what I use to make my song game rounds :)

Ah yes, this program is much better and easier to use.

Jigglypuff, I'm currently working on a mix right now. I'll PM it to you when it's finished, along with the list of songs that are in it. I hope this makes up for my neglect of reading the rules.

Actually, if you'd like, you can just take the round after Wuzzle's. That way, I can still participate ^_^;

This round ends later this week. Prolly Wednesday/Thursday, as I'm rather busy tomorrow..

I could do that. I might need someone to host it though, I'm not sure yet.

Is it ok if it's a video game only round though? I don't have that many regular songs that people here would most likely know.

I can make as many OCRemix mixes as you want though. I have the whole OC Remix library on my computer (except their newest stuff), so I have no problem looking up good songs to add to the mix. In fact, I'm almost done with this mix.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's not as big as I thought as it would be. I can host it on my own.

Alright. In an effort to get more points out there, open season on the NORMAL ROUND. Special round you're still limited. So, you can fill in as many of the normal round's songs as you like in the next 24 hours. Then Wuzzle has the next round.

@Skull Kid's post below mine: Nope.

6. The Offspring - Walla Walla

The other ones sound familiar, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
