The Arena of Legends is a place long lost in myth, a stadium of rock where the legendaries would do battle with each other. With Mirage Island found by an unexpected traveler, came whispers of a grand stadium of rock jetting over the island. With the traveler came a Wynaut, leaping whenever Mirage Island or Arena is spoken. The Pokemon League has desided that now is the time to call this legend to life, and has sent out a call far and wide for the rumored elite trainers who have been able to master Legendary Pokemon.

Arena of Legends rules:
You may choose three pokemon for battle. Anything goes. (If you played Pokemon Stadium, think of it as a glorified, three-dimensional, real time Prime Cup.)

Up to two Legendary Pokemon may be used for each trainer.

The Arena fights with double battles. Your first pokemon faints, you send out your third.

Any item can be used.

Eight trainers participate in elimination style matches. First come, first served.

A round ends when one side is unable to battle.

Each pokemon can have up to eight moves.

The battle is fought in third-dimensional, real time. The moves, items, and abilities can be used for a wide variety of purposes, well beyond what the cartrage games allow. (Example: Using Psychic to deflect a projectile, Fissure to rip apart the battlefield, Fire Blast to vaporize a pool) Basically, any creative use you can imagine as long it does not break a rule.

Automatic hits are prohibited. What I mean by that is, for example:
(Latias used Thunderbolt, and opponent Moltres ia struck by a surge of electricity)

There are eight types of battlefields: Grassland, tundra, desert, ocean, mountain, forest, subterranean, and wasteland.

My advice: Be careful who you send out! If your opponent has Latios on the field and you send out Latias, they may refuse to fight each other! Or if your opponent has Krogre and you send out Groudon, you and your opponent may lose control of your pokemon! I will take the backgrounds of all legendaries into account.

Pokemon format: Identity of the pokemon, any nicknames, held item, attacks.

Fourth generation pokemon may be used, as long as you can identify the names and effects of the attacks used. Simularly, 1-3rd generation pokemon may use fourth generation moves that they are capable of learning (Example: Lugia and Ho-Oh learning Sky Attack) again, as long as you can identify the name and effects of the move.

Attacks will follow the same basic format as in the cartrage games, but different forms of an attack may be used (Example: Thunder from the body or from the sky), and are affected by held items, conditions of the pokemon, battlefield, and weather.

Each battle will be held at the same time, seperately.

Natures are optional: You can include them if you desire to. They will not have any effect on the stats, but they will affect how your pokemon fights.

I apologize for not saying this earlier: But there are no replicates of legendary pokemon! If your opponent has already chosen a legendary pokemon which you were planning on using, you will need to chose someone else. Deoxys is an exception - Though the same pokemon, he has three variants, and all three can be used once. Say someone has chosen Deoxys attack - You still have Deoxys defense and speed. One Deoxys per team, assuming that the other forms are not taken.

And finally: Think outside the box! You are not in the cartrage games anymore! Your opponent will be able to do so, so be prepared to do the same.

Hmm. Is it anime-style battling or video-game battling (by that I mean the attacks do damage as to what they do in the games)? Interesting.

1. Flygon (Serious nature) @ Magnet ♂
Ability Levitate

Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Sand Tomb
Fury Cutter
Crunch
Giga Drain
Rock Tomb
Silver Wind

2. Ho-oh (Bold nature) @Lum Berry
Ability Pressure

Flamethrower
Extrasensory
Thunder Wave
Aerial Ace
Sacred Fire
Ancientpower
Future Sight
Swift

3. Suicune (Relaxed Nature) @Mystic Water
Ability Pressure

Mist
Bubblebeam
Roar
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Calm Mind
Gust
Leer

Should be in order now. By the way, I didn't select any new attacks but since some Pokemon learn moves from past games via level up or TM, I used that.

Cool sets! I added a section to the rule set, a basic guideline for setting up each pokemon. Remember to edit your sets to include attacks, held items, name, and any nicknames you are going to use. If you want to change pokemon, now is the time. Remember, you're not in the cartrage world anymore.

Great, you're ready! And remember, it's Lucky Punch that raises the Critical Hit ratio, Lucky Egg will be useless here unless you imagine a use for it.

Very cunning, Cellblock. I'm sure you'll do great in battle if you maintain that quality on the field.
