Don't worry about T-Tar's Sand Stream. But yes, you're right, Claydol is an amazing DDTar counter! I'd use EQ over HP Fighting and in the other two slots put in Ice Beam and Rapid Spin. Then you have a standard Claydol, ready to counter DDTar, Salamence, AND Spikers. Woot. |

SubDDTar counter: Marowak (M) @ Thick Club Trait: Rock Head EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) or Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) -Bonemerang -Rock Slide -Double-Edge/Focus Punch -Swords Dance Bonemerang says gg. SD + Focus Punch says Hi to switched in Skarmory, and prolly finishes it off with Rock Slide afterwards. anyways, Curselax counter: Steelix (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 244 HP / 28 Atk / 100 Def / 136 SDef Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) -Earthquake -Rock Slide/Iron Tail -Psych Up -Roar Attack and Defense are up to you. |

Never use any ground move other than Earthquake. I'm going w/Claydol instead, levitate makes EQ useless and ground cuts rockslides damage. |

Bonemerang is different. It has a base power of 50 and always hits twice, giving you a power of 100 (the same as earthquake iirc). What makes it better is that because it hits twice, it can break through subs and say "gg." So Bonemerang>EQ |

What Proph said. Marowak also cuts Rock Slide damage, and base 110 Def fends against EQs quite nicely iirc. I'm not saying its better, I'm just giving an alternative. Heck, I could say Hariyama w/ Arm Thrust =/. |

Base 15 power even on a Multi-Hit move is not what you want, unless its off an attack as high as Slaking. Don't try it. Flygon is also a nice TTar counter. STABed EQs ftw. |

I was speaking in terms of Tyranitar, but I was just kidding Modest Nature doesn't care about stabbed EQs ftw Edit: As of now the Netbattle forum has exactly 1000 posts |

The trick to beating the SubDanceTar isn't breaking his substitute, it's surviving its attacks. Marowak can survive a Rockslide, but one EQ and it'd be dead. |

But Bonemerang can break his sub and KO him at the same time. Tyranitar used Substitute! Marowak used Bonemerang! Tyranitar's Substitute broke! Hit 2 times! It's super effective! Tyranitar fainted! Yes it will probably faint T-Tar in one hit. Thick Club+STAB ftw. The point is that no matter what T-Tar does in this situation, if it doesn't switch it dies. If it subs, it will get KO'd. If it DDs, it will be KO'd. If it uses EQ, it won't KO Marowak, who will then destroy it with Bonemerang. |

I'm pretty sure Marowak has a certain glitch that disallows SD+Thick Club, and in the glitch drasitcially cuts your Marowak's attack to something horribly low. VERY BAD. |

Only if you SD three times, Neo. SD Twice and own with your... about 1800 Attack, I think? Sexy. |

Wahay! That is sexy! You have successfully got me into Marowak using! Yay!! Go Prophet! |

Haha I used Marowak once. Just a few things you might want to know: If you want to use Swords Dance, you MUST have Parasupport for 'wak. Marowak is quite slow and therefore isn't good at Sword Dancing. It may be better to BP two SDs to it. In fact, using it in tandem with Ninjask or Scizor would be kickass, BPing some speed boosts AND SDs too it. The best Marowak set: HP Bug Bonemerang Rock Slide/Ancientpower Swords Dance/Double Edge/Focus Punch/Brick Break/Aerial Ace ^Choose at your own peril |

I'll suggest you put that in the GSC thread as no programmer would have left that snot glitch in the new games :\ |

He means on Netbattle. And yes the guys who made it announced the glitch in their forum. What happens is Marowak's attack goes to high and instead of reaching a max, it rolls over, as they put it, to a low number. |

Boah counter: Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Overgrow EVs: 210 HP / 88 Def / 60 Spd / 80 SAtk / 72 SDef Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) or Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) -Razor Leaf -Hidden Power [Fire] -Sleep Powder -Leech Seed Resists Thunderbolt and FP, and has good enough SDef to resist Crunch pretty well. |

DDtar Counters: Flygon@Choice Band Lonely/Adamant:252 atk, 252 spd, 6 Hp Earthquake HP:fly/bug Rock Slide Fire Blast/Quick Attack/Aerial Ace Immune to EQ and resists Rock Slide. Throw in before this thing starts DDing otherwise the resistance is useless. Claydol@Leftovers Bold EQ Ice Beam Rest Rapid Spin You'll want 200 in each attacking stat and focus mainly on defense. This thing resists Rock Slide better than flygon. |

Don't forget Screech Flygon: Flygon (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 Atk / 48 Def / 176 Spd / 34 SDef Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Screech - Toxic/Quick Attack/Fire Blast/Hidden Power [Bug/Flying] - Rock Slide STABed EQs ftw. edit: Alakazam/Gengar/McGar without a sub Counter: Houndoom (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Flash Fire EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) -Crunch -Pursuit -Flamethrower -Will-o-Wisp / Hidden Power [Ice/Grass] Normally I use Modest, but the masses seem to disagree with me on that one. |
