no i have the same issue, my mom locked down my account to not be able to run any install.exe files. u just gotta log in administrator account and load it from dere. |

Other official download sites you might get Netbattle from are smogon.com and wisecoweb.com, the former owned by myself and the second owned by Jshadias. We are both Netbattle developers, and in conjunction with MasamuneXGP sometimes release patches to NB early which aren't listed on TVsIan.com because.. well, TVsIan isn't that involved with the program anymore and it's hard to get ahold of him. The absolute latest version of Netbattle is at http://www.smogon.com/PokeBattle096P.zip and http://www.wisecoweb.com/jshadias/PokeBattle096P.zip which fixes the RTE5 bug in the original 0.96 |

Darn it lol. People always ask the questions while I'm not here browsing the site. 
Working on a website, working on this walkthrough, working on a Sfc3 Tactics walkthrough, making new desktop backgrounds, working on General News threads... Kind of doesn't follow the "Don't bite off more than you can chew" saying, doesn't it?

I've saved the file and all that, and "ran" the file, but how do you actually use it? It's really confusing me as my brain can't take in so much information at the same time. |

Follow the instructions after running the file. Once the file is installed, just go to Start, Programs, and find the Netbattle Program. Run it, and you can begin forming your team and battling. It's not that hard, please try it out yourself slowly. |

I'm planning on getting Netbattle, but I need to convince my parents that it's okay. Is there a way of disabling chatting and messages? If the answer is yes, then expect to see me there! Note: I've discovered that you can disable spectator chat, is there a way of disabling chatting from the other player (s)? |

No, not realy, short of using the /ignore command on every single person in a room. But then you wouldn't be able to take challenges, so that doesn't really work. |
