Hey guys this will be my last Gen IV tournament I will host here on Psypoke. As such it is going to be a special tournament. Here are the rules.


Each round will consist of a best two out of three battles, and each of those battles being done under separate tiering rules. For instance one bout could be an Ubers battle, another a standard OU, and if need be the tiebreaker could be a Little Cup battle. With these different battling conditions rules for each match will be different but here is a quick list of rules.

In anything that isn't an Ubers battle, no Ubers going by the current standard Gen IV Uber list.
Sleep Clause (Rest induced sleep doesn't count towards this)
OHKO Clause (Metronome allowed)
Evasion Clause (Acupressure, Metronome, Snow Cloak, Sand Veil, etc. allowed)
Accuracy Clause (Muddy Water allowed)
Species Clause

Sorry I didn't say this originally but there is no item clause.
That is it for the standard rules. Now for the prizes, I know that I have been bad about not giving prizes in the past, but this time it will be different I promise.

Prizes
First place- One Pokemon of their choice with four perfect IVs in stats of their choosing, EVs and moves of their choosing if they wish.
Second place- One Pokemon of their choice with three perfect IVs....
Third place - One of Pokemon of their choice with two perfect IVs....

Ideally I would want at least eight people signed up more than that is welcome, and since the rounds will consist of three battles each round will be at least a week and a half. All this will hopefully lead up to just before the release of Pokemon Black and White in the US, and for the European release for those living in Europe.

Signups will go until Sunday January 23. Until then get cracking on some teams.

Here is a list of the legal tiers that I can think of, along with a short explanation for each, feel free to add others for consideration.

Uber - 6v6, Level 100, all pokemon are legal
OU - 6v6, Level 100, legal pokemon are all those not listed in the Uber tier
BL - 6v6, Level 100, legal pokemon are all those not listed in the Uber or OU tier
UU - 6v6, Level 100, legal pokemon are all those not listed in the Uber, OU, or BL tier
NU - 6v6, Level 100, legal pokemon are all those not listed in the Uber, OU, BL, or UU tier
NFE - 6v6, Level 50, legal pokemon are all those that are capable of further evolution (for instance, Machoke, Staravia, and Flaaffy). Single stage pokemon, such as Skarmory or Rotom, are not allowed
LC - 6v6, Level 5, legal pokemon are first stage pokemon that can evolve (for instance, Bulbasaur, Natu, and Cranidos). Single stage pokemon, such as Skarmory or Rotom, are not allowed
Roulette - 6v6, Level 100, 6 pokemon are randomly selected from a battler's list of 30, Ubers are banned
Mix - 6v6, Level 100, each battler uses 3 pokemon from the OU tier, 2 pokemon from the UU tier, and 1 pokemon from the NU tier
Monotype - 6v6, Level 100, at least 4 of the 6 pokemon must share a type, Ubers are banned

All of the above tiers may be challenged in either singles or doubles format.

You should know what my definition of extreme hacks. I will post it here, and edit it into the first post for clarification.

No 252 EVs in all stats
No Wondertomb, or Wondereye
No having illegal moves, or abilities (nothing from Black and White, like Drought Ninetales, or Drizzle Politoed.)

Basically, nothing that would be impossible to get ingame. Except for my magikarp, its allowed in all tiers.

Magikarp is not allowed in Ubers smogon made it uber after the killernacho rinsed a team with it

I don't care about Smogon, and in this tournament final authority is EvilPenguin, so if he says Magikarp is allowed then its allowed.

Okay signups are close and pairings will be up in this post. How I did the pairings. I went to a random number generator and went numerically from the signups, so I am number one on the list, and thus I was assigned the number one for the sake of making the brackets. Since we have seven people one person will get a bye into the second round, anyway on to the pairings.

Do we decide among who we are battling with for what tier we are doing or is everyone doing the same tier?

It will be a best of three matches with each match using the rules of three different tiers. So round one could be a standard OU, round two could be an Ubers, and the tie breaker could be NU. These aren't the only ones you can do, check EvilPenguins first post to see some more. It is up to you and your opponent to agree on three different battling conditions to do.

Me and Munchlax :) finished our 1st battle( it was OU) he beat me so badly with his {machamp}

EDIT: WE finished our 2nd Match, Munchlax won! HIs {qwilfish} one hit my {slowbro} with poison Jab we both had one poke left anyway Good Luck to Munchlax and everyone else in this tourney. Oh yeah the second was monotype and we both had water type (i think)

Alright so MUNCHLAX :) moves on. Just to give everyone an idea as to when the deadline date for the first round ends it is February 8. Y'all still have plenty of time I just wanted you guys to have a calendar date.

EvilPenguin won both of our battles . First an OU and then a monotype I had Psychic and I believe EvilPenguin had Flying. Well that means I'm out and I hope everyone else's battles weren't as one sided as mine were. Between both battles EvilPenguin oly had 2 of his pokemon faint. Anyway Good Luck to everyone.

Chef won our second battle 2 or 3 - 0. Not quite sure. Kingdra survived my
Metagross' bullet Punch with -1 HP and swept my last 3 haha. GG man.
