Post subject:  Gen V OU List?
What do you guys think the OU list will be for gen V pokes and anything else for past generations.I think you can definatly count Burungeru, Zoarark, Sazandora, Shandera and the like but anything else? Will items be banned this gen, or will smogon make a tier for items?

Its hard to say at this given point in time. As of right now Gen V's metagame is an Uber festival with OU's thrown into the mix, as well as the Dream World abilities. So making a complete list would be hard. However a couple I know that will be OU are, only from Gen V. I doubt Shandera will see much use in OU when Shadow Tag gets banned, other than the occasional revenge kill.

This topic is already making me cringe.

Items don't have "tiers." They will not get tiers. Only one item has ever been banned so far - Soul Dew. Nothing else. And I'm willing to bet that none or very few of the new items will get banned.

Shandera has a lot more going for it than just Shadow Tag. Like base 145 Special Attack, for starters. That's base nine less than Mewtwo.

I'm pretty sure that Dream World abilities are currently banned unless they've been officially released. So that basically means Eeveelutions only at this point.

It's also way too early to start predicting tiers. Let's flashback to this point during DP's development. "OMG! Heatran is so crappy. Rhyperior is going to be broken, it needs to be sent to Uber!" Surprise... Rhyperior is UU and Heatran was #1 in OU until Platinum came along. It's just impossible to tell at this point.

Lax incense and Brightpowder usually are blocked with evasion clause. Focus sash clause also exists to limit it to one.

Only item I see getting any scrutiny this gen is the red card item, teams that rely on many entry hazards can freely abuse the item via recycle and rack up damage.

I assume you mean the evolution stone? Think of Dusclops :D Netural/31IV/0EV leaves it with 444 in both defenses.

Gligar will not become an OU threat. Poison Heal Gliscor outclasses it by miles.

this is my own custom gliscor set needs tweaking though

acrobat

earthquake
taunt

first get the toxic orb activated fling it at the most annoying thing possible then acrobat power doubles with no item and stab so 165 base power after stab and all and does a lot even without atk evs taunt to annoy walls earthquake is standard and then 72 def evs to make it a little bulkier

i think that sazandora, doryuzzu, burengeru, eurffun, zorack, urugamoth, terakkion(fighting/rock legend), and ropushin are defintes
