Why do both of the movesets for suicune in the psydex have roar? As in, what is the strategy for using such a pokemon?

Scouting: Lets say your oponent has an infernape out and you send suicune, he will probably switch into a counter expecting to be surfed. But what if you roared on the switch? Then their counter is not only out, but you now have an idea of how is the foe aiming to deal with suicune.

Scouting is a very good thing in a battle if you have some prediction skills. By sending two or three pokémon in and out you can get a very good idea of what is your opponent is using and which members of your team are going to be most important to take them on, it also helps your prediction since you now know what does the other has in order to counter your other pokemon.

Passive damage: Pretty much self explanatory. If you have spikes and stealth rocks out you will end up doing a lot of damage.

Also, it screws any atempt to set up in order to kill suicune.

So you use roar first? That makes more sense. Thanks.
