I am not sure if this has been asked, but why is Choice Scarf liked so much? Like on a Togekiss, they have offensive moves and one will be Grass Knot. They have it for bulky Water types and others. Wouldn't they only be able to use that if they had Choice Scarf? If they picked another move, wouldn't they ony be able to use it? :?

You do know it boosts speed by 1.5 times I hope.

The advantage is kind of obvious, yes you must switch out if they bring in something that resists the attack you are using, but being able to outrun an opponent is often a vital part of battles.

I do know there is a boost. I look into to things before I begin to rant about them. :|

I've never actually heard of Choice Scarf on bulky waters but...

Some pokemon are great, but their only letdown is their speed. Choice Scarf solves that COMPLETELY. A great example is heracross. STAB Megahorn and Close Combat is just plain nasty, however it gets letdown because of it's speed. Give it choice scarf, problem solved.

I didn't really think about switching out though. I can see why it is beloved.

You don't switch out? Most times, you'll have to when the opponent switches in a counter. However, if that counter happens to be a sweeper that outspeeds you normally...with Choice Scarf you can often surprise them and kill it.

I understand. I see why people like it. Yes, I do switch out.
