Who is the better dragon?

Salamence@Focus Sash
(Your Spreads Here)
Dragon Dance
EQ
Dragon Claw
Stone Edge

(replace it as you wish)

Garchomp@Life Orb
(Your Spreads here)
Dragon Claw
EQ
Swords Dance
Fire Blast (Anything really)

(replace it as you wish)

Do not consider speeds. Consider neither of them are leads.

Salamence Spread:
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
Garchomp Spread:
252 Spd, 180 Atk, 72 SA (Replace Fire Blast with Flamethrower)
I'd say, if Speed isn't relevant, choose Salamence. DD can almost sweep anything, and Focus Sash will ensure that one turn of DDing won't cost you a faint. Just watch out for E-Speed or Sand Stream
If speed is relevant, than Garchomp is win because it can afford to not raise speed with Swords, and will be killer. But then again, Weavile is common, and Froslass is also a BIT common, so without Focus Sash, it may just be a case of luck or switching to s atrong Sp. Def tank like Bliss.
I'd say Salamence, because it's able to support offense while withstanding attacks.

Now, im not some hotshot rater or anything, but i do know my fair share. Now, people are saying put Flamethrower on a Swords Dancing Garchomp? NO! Try Stone Edge. Also, the Salas Spread should be 252 Atk,252 Spd, 6 HP. The Garchomps should be the same. I liek the Sala better, because of having the Focus Sash, and how DD raises Spd and Attack. Sala could ace that Garchomp so sweat in a battle, same with any other battles. Thanks.

THe idea of having Fire Blast / FThrower on Chomp is because of this:

Dragon Claw + EQ have immense coverage that there is no point in having Stone Edge. The only Pokemon (off hand) that walls Dragon Claw and EQ is Skarmory.

Now, Skarmory has such massive defences that Stone Edge isn't going to be doing all that much to it. In this case, Fire Blast rips apart the Metal Bird due to its Def/Spdef split.

And it certainly works because the overlords of the competitive world (yup, Smogon) have it listed as a set called "Chain Chomp" and it's pretty darn ferocious.

Chain Chomp is Draco Meteor Garchomp, not Fire Blast.

Also Dragonite is the best dragon. >O

No sanjay120, ChainChomp is Swords Dance/EQ/Draco Meteor/Fire Blast.

i sort of like Choice Scarf Chomp.

Adamant

Outrage
EQ
Iron Head (for ice)
B-Break/ Stone Edge/ Shadow Claw

id probably go with an ev spead of 252 attack, 129 hp, 129 speed. thats fast enough to outspeed a non-Choice scarf weavile. (with a good speed IV)

To me this is the best dragon set. if only chomp got intimidate..
