Just wondering if the Early Bird ability causes a poke to wake up one turn after using rest.
If it does, is this a good combo to use?
Thanks in advance.

I believ it does, seeing as Rest is set at 2 turns. This one I am not 100% sure on but roughly 95%. The only good poke that gets that ability is Houndoom and I think Flash Fire is better than that. In fact I'm not even sure if Hounddom can learn rest, and I am too lazy to look.

Yay! Other lazy people!
I took the initiative to check because it interested me, and 480 pokes can learn rest via TM. I'm pretty sure houndoom is among them.

480, wow. But only like 20 can use it well lol and Houndoom isn't one of them.

True, but have you ever noticed that when you teach rest to one of your pokes that all of 'em in your party seem to be able to use it? Like toxic...
Anyway, we'll need someone to be the guinea pig and try it out...

I guess I could try it. But yeah, Houndoom's defense is pretty bad to be sitting out there while it's asleep...
I did it with Houndoom.
It was only asleep for 1 turn. It woke up the beginning of the 2nd turn.
Cool, I answered my own question.

Kangaskhan and Xatu are better defensive dudes w/early bird. That might work.

I have an Early Bird Xatu
He has
-Drill Peck
-Psychic
-Confuse Ray
-Wish
I guess I could get rid of Wish for Rest. Come to think of it, Wish sucks. I want to take advantage of my Xatu's high Sp.Attack, and Psychic works well, but I want a better Sp. Flying-attack. Any suggestions?

Xatu doesn't learn any special flying moves
In fact, come to think of it, there are only two special flying moves; Air Slash, and AeroBlast, none of which are learned by Xatu.

Crap. I guess I'll stick with Drill Peck, and maybe give it a King's Rock since it's speed is superb.
