A toxi trapper! W00T!
Anyways:

BASTIODON @ Leftovers
Careful / Sturdy
259 HP, 129 DEF, 129 SP. DEF

TOXIC
IRON DEFENCE
BLOCK
METAL BURST

BTW, this is probably the first moveset I've came up with. Pretty standard, with metal burst in case it comes up against a steel type. Any opinions?

Because many of the raters have exams, and hw, etc, here is the backed up list:

I might get to the rest later, but here's who's left, raters:
<s>DarkRider23</s>
<s>kapinsam</s>
<s>greenlight711</s>
<s>blazingculcar</s>
<s>Loopworm25</s>
<s>floonfloon</s>
<s>Charizard Trainer</s>
<s>Topher</s>
<s>Centeri</s>
<s>Mewsix</s>
Yoshipal13
Kirbyatic
DarkPhantom02
Alkhazor
Bill McCai
WindRider
jrl_07
SuperBlastoise

I myself have a history project. I'm trying to balance everything (along with my other centers), so I need everybody's cooperation. I will try to do like 1/2 of these, but no guarantees.
Oh, and this is only a list of the teams before I posted this.

Just need suggestions/team rating.

This is going to be used for competitive play and against my friends, so I'm trying to make a good team.

Raichu @ Leftovers
Modest | Static
252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Sweet Kiss
Attract
Thunderpunch (from Emerald tutor) > T-bolt, if you really have that problem of no good natures. Or brick break, or return.

Starmie @ Leftovers/Shell Bell
Modest | Natural Cure
252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
Thunderbolt
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Standard.

Heracross @ Choice Band or Scarf?
Adamant | Swarm
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Brick Break
Rock Slide > Stone Edge, trust me. The power trade in for accuracy is worth it. Choice band is probably better.

I need a tank, but I don't know who to use and then the last 2 slots... are open for now.
Either 2 sweepers and a tank, or two sponges (specialized tanks) and a mixed sweeper. Or, 1 passer, 1 tank, and 1 mixed sweeper.
Mixed Sweeper: Infernape, Electivire, Charizard, Exploud, Kingdra, Lucario, Magmortar, etc.
Special Wall: Blissey, Snorlax, Lanturn (Switch raichu for it maybe), Regice
Physical Wall: Skarmory, Forretress, Weezing
Tank: Yonowaaru, Claydol.

This is why it takes so long - I personalize and try to make everything good. Now, I'll make a double post, just so you all see how many teams are in front of you.....

How's this,

Rampardos Lv. 71
(Rock Incence)
Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Ice Beam
Head Smash
The stats SCREAM physical. Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Crunch. You could try brick break and zen headbutt, but not really that useful.

Whiscash Lv. 70
Fissure
Water Pulse
Aqua Tail
Earthquake
Fissure is 30% accurate. Instead, go with spark. Aqua tail or waterfall, no water pulse (special move). There's rock slide, there's zen headbutt. go with either one. OR, a supporting move, like protect, attract, etc.

Giratina Lv. 72
Shadow Force
Energy Ball
Earth Power
Slash
Dragon Pulse > Slash. Not a big fan of shadow force (5pp isn't enough), so i'd go with dark pulse or shdow ball instead.

Gengar Lv. 69
(Dread Plate)
Drain Punch
Dark Pulse
Destiny Bond
Sludge Bomb
Shaodw Ball > Drain Punch. @Leftovers, believe me. Or, @Choice Specs, with Energy Ball > Destiny Bond.

Empoleon Lv.80
(Razor Fang)
Surf
Rock Climb
Drill peck
Hydro Cannon
Special Sweeper. Surf, Ice beam, yawn and flash cannon ingame; Yawn and stealth rock competitive. @Leftovers.

Heatran Lv. 73
(Charcoal)
Iron Head
Fire Spin
Lava Plume
Dig
Umm, no. @Choice Specs, 4 of the following: Flamethrower, flash cannon, land power, dark pulse, dragon pulse, ancient power, explosion.

to make it easier on raters, please use the following formatting for each Pokemon

[Pokemon] @ [Item]. [Ability]
[Nature], [EVs] (, DVs optional, but not really necessary)

[Attack 1]
[Attack 2]
[Attack 3]
[Attack 4]

(description optional)

like so

Garchomp @ Choice Band, Sand Veil
Jolly, 252 Attack 252 Speed 4 HP

Earthquake
Stone Edge
Dragon Claw
Fire Fang

physical sweeper

Just wanted to remind everyone so that this is easier to do. Thank you in advance.

I just got it and need some help choosing attacks

Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, and Surf over Mist ball, DragonBreath, and Refresh. Give it Leftovers

Feraligator-Mistic water
Surf
Superpower
ice fang
Aqua tail

just got him 2 and need some guidance

Agility, HP Fire, and Ice Beam over Superpower, Ice Fang, and Aqua tail. Keep Surf. Leftovers for an item.

Mewtwo- Shell bell
Recover
ThunderPunch
Ice Beam
Psychic

I'm pretty confident with him

Keep Ice Beam and Psychic. Replace T-Punch and Recover with Shadow Ball and Calm Mind.Lefties over ShellBell

Lucario-no item
Close combat
dark pulse
shadow claw
metal claw

trying to make him lear high jump kick

When you get HJK, replace Close combat. EQ instead of Dark Pulse, and either ExtremeSpeed of Swords Dance over Metal Claw. Choice Band if using ExtremeSpeed, and Lefties iof using Swords Dance

Charizard-Charcoal
Blast burn
flamethrower
rock slide
fly

i needed a flyer and well...he is part flying and I think it's importanat that he knows a flying type move, and well I'm finding somthing for a replacement for blast burn

HM Slaves exist for a reason, you know. Do you want a Physical Sweeper or a special Sweeper? If physicall, then Dragon Dance/Belly Drum, Earthquake, Fire Punch, and Crunch/Shadow Claw. If special, then Flamethrower, Air Slash, Dragon Pulse, and Ancientpower/HP Grass/HP Ground. LEfties, or a Salac Berry if you can get it.

Latios-lost my soul dew somehow
Recover
Luster purge
Dragon pulse
Thunderbolt

a I think he is pretty much good

Same as Latias.

I'll get to the next couple l8r

I'm not much of an expert, so I could use some advice in constructing my team. Here's what I had in mind so far:

Lucario
- Close Combat/Cross Chop
- Extreme Speed
- Dark Pulse
- Counter
Swords Dance, Cross Chop, Stone Edge, Blaze Kick.

Metagross
- Psychic
- Meteor Mash
- Rock Slide
- Hammer Arm
Specialize. Either Agility-Shadow Ball-Psychic-Flash Cannon or MMash- EQ-Agility-Zen Headbutt.

Garchomp
- Dragon Rush
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Dig
Try CBer: EQ, Dragon Claw, Stone Edge, Crunch.

Empoleon
- Hydro Pump
- Drill Peck
- Earthquake
- Blizzard/Ice Beam
Go mixed. Ice Beam, Drill Peck, Agility, Aqua Jet/WFall.

Weavile
- Night Slash
- Revenge
- Ice Punch
- Iron Tail
Night Slash, Ice Punch, and Iron Tail are alright. You might want to go with AAce or SDance over Revenge.

Gardevoir
- Psychic
- Hypnosis
- Dream Eater
- Wish
WoW, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Calm Mind.

I was thinking that this team might be a little too fire vulnerable, but otherwise I think it has a good mix. What do you guys think?

Nah, Empoleon can wall those Fires.

I know, double post but if I would edit no-one would notice this post. If a mod, however, merges these 2 posts that is also fine by me.

Guys and girls, please be patient. We all have exams and projects and homework, and we are not rating 'bots. We WILL try to rate your teams. However, we are busy with schoolwork so it may take a week or a two to get your team rated.

Thanks Gnaaye. Two questions though:

1. Could you clarify what CB means? I'm not really up to speed with competetive Pokemon terms.

2. Also, could you find any glaring weakpoints of the team composition? Would you recommend any to be subbed in or out?

Greenlight711 - CB = choice band. it allows the use of one move only, but raises the attack stat. IF you switch out, you can choose a new move. As for the weak points, I see a bi defense weakness (Sneasel, Gardevoir, Garchomp). I also see few ground weaknesses (Metagross, Lucario), a bit of a bug (sneasel, gardevoir), staus (metagross, lucario are immune to toxic, and garchomp to T-wave, but still no cleric, no safeguard). Just being honest. Throw in a wall, and a cleric if this is truly competitive. Otherwise, if its just in-game, you should be fine.

T-punch is good, as it takes care of waters. @Salac or leftovers (Shell bell is good though)

Rhyperior @ Ganlon Berry/Leichi Berry
Impish
Solid Rock
252 Attack; 129 Def; 129 Hp
Earthquake
Rock Edge/Arm Hammer/Toxic
Swords Dance
Rest
Won't survive Rest. Go with Brick Break or Megahorn. Roc Slide > Rock Edge. It has fire power, so no toxic.

Blissey @ Leftovers/Apicot Berry/?
Calm/Careful
Natural Cure
252 Hp; 252 Sp. Def; 4 Def/Spd
Counter/Soft Boiled
Aromatherapy
Seismic Toss
Toxic
Softboiled, always. Bold nature 252 EVs allows it to survive some physical attacks. T-wave or toxic., yes, but T-wave because you already have dusknoir.

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Bold/Calm
Pressure
252 Sp. Def; 252 Def; 4 Att
Toxic
Rest
Mean Look
Shadow Punch/Elemental Punch
I'd go with curse in the last spot (Meanlook, then toxic, then curse, then rest, rest or toxic, then rest, rinse and repeat).

Forretress @ Liechi Berry
Brave/Relaxed
Sturdy
252 Def; 129 Hp; 129 Att
Spikes
Poison Spikes/Iron Defence/Explosion
Gyro Ball
Rapid Spin
Poison Spikes or explosion. Explosion is best, as you have toxi-trapper (dusknoir - does more damage long run) and t-wave (good disbler). Earthquake would have been good for type coverage, as opposed to gyro ball.

Togekiss @ Petaya Berry/?
Modest/Timid
Serene Grace
252 Spd; 252 Sp. Att/4 Hp
Air Slash
Water Pulse
Thunder Wave/Nasty Plot
Roost
Umm, water pulse + Air Slash = good. No T-wave (you could just use bolt-beam, then). Nastu Plot, of course.

This team is for competitive play. I could not decide between Forretress as a spiker/spinner, and Togekiss as a baton passer.
I didn't see baton pass. What do you want to pass? There are better ones (in my opinion):
~Vaporeon (101 HP + Subs, acid armor, wish) The reason i mention wish is because vaporeon wishes, and when it uses b-pass, it gets hit, and thus leads for full recovery to the recipient.
~Ninjask - Speed Boost, Swords Dance, Double Team, Substitute.
~Espeon, Mr. Mime - Calm Mind
~Smeargle - Ingrain (pseudo hazers), Belly Drum.
~Gorebyss (ZOMG) - Iron Defense, Amnesia, Agility, Double Team.

Pretty much the idea here is to sleep with Dark Void, Nightmare it, then Dream Eater till it's dead. Rinse, repeat :D Dark Pulse is also availible for pokemon semi-immune to sleep. (I.E. Early Bird)

Usually, I'd say this is the worst idea ever. however, with dark void, its different. Anyway, you still run into problems if they wake up, and if they switch. No nightmare, trust me. and worry about the things that resist dark pule + psychic (steels, darks). Brick Break of focus punch (they're asleep, so they won't hit you - thats why f-punch gar works well with hypnosis). @Leftovers of course.

Actually, do you want it as a drainer? If not, then t-bolt + ice beam > nightmare and dream eater. Calm Mind > Dark void.

Why has this one been popular? Charge Beam (70 % chance raising SpAtk) > Calm mind, and stockpile, so you raise your defenses. Not only do you get an extra attack, but you increase the defense (and, you can pass to a swallower).

Empoleon @?
Docile 128 Atk 128 Sp. Atk 252 Spd
Ice Beam
Surf
Flash Cannon
?

Special Sweeper.

Typhlosion @ Leftovers
Timid/Modest 252 Sp.Atk 252 Spd 6 HP
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Flamethrower
?

Special Sweeper similar to past generations, but Thunderpunch won't work because it's now physical.

Luxray @ Leftovers
Adamant 252 Atk 252 Spd 6 HP
Thunder Fang
Fire Fang
Ice Fang
Crunch (AKA Dark Fang =P)

Elemental Versatility FTW.

Lucario @ Leftovers
Careful (I already have it, so I can't change the nature) 252 Atk 252 Spd 4 HP
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Cross Chop
Blaze Kick

Phsyical Sweeper, but you guessed that, didn't you?

I know it's 8 pokemon and not 6, but I'll be using Lucario and Luxray until I can get Typhlosion, Dragonite, and Arcanine. (I also have an HM slave - Machop)

Note that I'm using Leftovers as a filler. If there is anything better I'll give up the item slot for it.

Yet AGAIN, i have changed my team. This one feels right so far.

Charizard - Serious
Item ~ Charcoal
~ Sunny Day
~ Flamethrower
~ Solarbeam
~ Fly
SunnyBeam doesn't really cover that many types. You are much better off with Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Air Slash, Ancient Power/HP Ground/HP Rock, @Choice specs .

Sceptile - Timid
Item ~ Miracle Seed
~ Aerial Ace
~ Leech Seed
~ Leaf Blade
~ detect oxic?
@Leftovers. Toxic, Leech Seed, Dragon Pulse, Energy Ball. Substitute could go instead of toxic, and that would be known as sub-seed.

Electivire - Naive
Item ~ Razor Claw (I don't know, i didnt have anything else)
~ Protect
~ ThunderPunch
~ FirePunch
~ Giga Impact
Lol, hyperbeam. A good mixed sweeper, trust me. Substitute, focus punch, t-bolt, ice punch. bolt-beam and sub-punch. t-bolt to get gyarados and skarmory.

Heracross - Jolly
Item ~ Choice Band
~ Megahorn
~ Brick Break
~ Rock Slide
~ Swords Dance
Swords Dance...@Choice Band? :?: Earthquake > Swords Dance, or change the item to lum berry/leftovers, and leave swords dance.

@ ... PLEASE HELP! and PLEASE RATE! I took out Palkia becuz i want my team to be all non-legends. anywayz i still need help finding the perfect next 2 pokemon to go along with my current pokemon... any suggestions?
2 walls for defese. Or, a tank + Spinner/passer (ie, dusknoir + ninjask, or starmie + smeargle). Seriously, what you want...

Here's a future idea for my Pearl Team. This is for in-game play.

Floatzel @ Luck Incense
Blizzard
Surf
Agility
Rest
Ice Beam > Blizzard. Accuracy, PP. Trust me, NEVER USE BLIZZARD.

Lucario @ Scope Lens
Aura Sphere
Agility
Crunch
Brick Break
Specialize. Do you want special, or physical? aura sphere = special, so you may want Bullet punch, or blaze kick, poison jab, or rock slide.

Abomasnow @ Quick Claw
Energy Ball
Giga Drain
Ice Beam
Light Screen
giga drain or energy ball. not both. Shhadow balll or water pulse > Giga drain (giga drain has lower pp, and base power).

Mismagius @ Razor Claw
Thunderbolt
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Lucky Chant
Something > Lucky chant. Energy ball, dark pulse, or calm m ind prefferably.

Drapion @ Iron Ball
X-Scissor
Poison Jab
Earthquake
Night Slash
@Choice Ban (don't know what iron ball does - sorry)

Rapidash @ Lax Incense
Flamethrower
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Rest
Ughh, nnybeam again? Its Attack > Sp.Attack. Poison Jab, Megahorn, double kick (rocks), and flamethrower/overheat/fire blast. Can go for Will-o-wisp, hypnosis, or toxic if you want.

A build for Dusknoir, primarily for slow disintegration of malicious enemy persona:
Dusknoir, Impish /w Leftovers? EV trained for Spc. Def and HP.
Pain Split
Toxic
Trick Room
Ice Punch/Earthquake

One example of the effectiveness is against Rhyperion, which may otherwise be a vicious opponent. Even if Toxic doesn't work (I don't remember if poison effects rock), every attack that is landed on me by Rhyperion can be healed with a Pain Split until Rhyperion is reduced to about one half of life. It doesn't go by percents, but by absolute values, and even EV trained for life, Dusknoir won't have nearly as much as Rhyperion. At 1/2, I can continue for a bit more with Pain Split until it becomes too dangerous, and finish off with an Ice Punch or Earthquake. With 100 Attack, it might be enough to finish the poor mountain off.

Next pokemon gets sent out, first thing I do is Pain Split to heal myself, toxic, pain split, and interchangably pain split/ Ice Punch/Earthquake whatever is sent against me next.
Now that it has a bit more HP, and a bit more defenses, it will probably do better with rest. Rest also heals status. The speed of dusknoir isn't good, I agree. But that spot wasted on trick room could be used for shadow punch and focus punch/eq/rock slide/ice punch. Toxic does hit rocks, just not steels (and essentially poisons - they are immune to poison status).

That is from all previous pages (sorry). I have no more History Projects (except Extra Credit). So I will be here more, now.

Okay, I'm going to try a new policy, at least until the end of the week. Rate the easiest teams first (1 pokemon, just finding members), then do the big teams. So:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yoshipal - last time I'm saying this, and then I will enforce the rules (and my colleagues will agree with me on this):
If you post here saying "Why isn't my team rated yet?", you will go to the bottom of the list. The only time you may ask is if you believe a rater has forgotten, only supported by the fact that they went to the newer teams before doing yours.

Anyway,
 Steelix or Bastiodon, whichever you chose is fine. If you go with steelix, you get a good electric immunity, but end up with a water weakness. These will double as physical walls.

 Dusknoir, instead of playing both ends, will either be a special sponge, or be switched out entirely. Something carrying over from Ru/Sa Advanced:
Dusknoir @Leftovers
~Calm Mind
~Shadow Ball (special now :O)
~Ice Beam/Psychic
~Rest
Alternatively, look to the multitude of special sponges - blissey, snorlax, venusaur (amnesia), umbreon, Regice, Mantine.

 Sceptile has been severely toned down, now. I'd reccomend Ludicolo as a drainer (leech seed, toxic, mega drain, Rain Dance), and it can double as your special sponge (see above).

 Rhyperior, despite what you may think, is not that good of a pokemon. Ground, Steel, Grass, Water, Ice, Fighting - all very common types on teams. You can try it, but you may be better with Rampardos, which has more attack and fewer weaknesses. Rhyperior is okay, but i really reccomend this guy.

 Slowbro is the obvious choice, as it get the better unboostable defense. Sweet movepool as well.

Your last member is to be determined by you. Another sweeper is my choice (mixed, like sub-punch, bolt-beam). If going for colo as a special sponge and drainer, you can go for another sweeper and a supporter (b-passer, cleric, spinner).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DP02 - yeah, torterra and luxray will slaughter leader #4. As long as luxray knows Crunch, Gym Leader #5 is history, and GL #6 is dead to torterra and infernape (grass fighting, and fire)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alkhazor: Rhyperior can get a big boost from swords Dance, and Megahorn handles darks, psychics, and slow grasses (or grass switch-ins). Those 2 over your punches.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big E - well, you got it right with ice beam. The actual standard has no hail, but water pulse (fires, rocks, grounds). Oh, and never, never use blizzard (suicide move). So, Ice Beam, Wate Pulse, Shadow Ball, Mirror Coat should be used :D

More later :D

Someone told me to replace Mirror coat with Calm Mind, so which would work better?

Thanks Peanut-lover, appreciated.

I apologize for my rude comment.

A few questions though. I got this set from the Standard Guide, what's wrong with it?

Dusknoir@ Leftovers
Impish | Pressure
252 HP, 129 Atk, 129 Sp Def
~Shadow Punch
~Earthquake/Ice Punch
~Will-O-Wisp
~Pain Split/Rest

Your set is Sp Atk based, which Dusknoir is not. He has high Attack.

And I'd just like to know how Sceptile has been toned down. Cause I've considered Ludicolo before, but putting Rain Dance into play could mess up the rest of my team.

What's wrong with this set?
{sceptile} @ Leftovers
Jolly | Overgrow
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
~Leech Seed
~Substitute
~Leaf Blade
~X-scissor

I don't really use a team. I just mix and match the Pokemon I have trained.
