That's right, we are holding an OFFICIAL PSYPOKE TRIVIA

Please note this down in your books! It will be held on <b>Friday 13th January, 2006</b> at <b>7pm EST</b>.

It will be held in the official Psypoke trivia channel, #PsypokeTrivia. More information about accessing this will come later.

Here are some times converted into common timezones:
New Zealand - 1pm on Saturday 14th January
Singapore - 8am on Saturday 14th January
UK - 12midnight on Saturday 14th January
EST - 7pm on Friday 13th January
CST - 6pm on Friday 13th January
MST - 5pm on Friday 13th January
PST - 4pm on Friday 13th January

If you are unsure about the time of trivia in your country, please post here and I will endeavour to find out for you!

As usual, Psypoke Trainer Card ribbons will be up for grabs

----------------------------------------------
HOW TO GET ONTO THE CHATS
1. If you have mIRC, connect to irc.darkmyst.org on port 6667 and join #PsypokeTrivia
2. If you don't, use the Java Applet at http://www.psypokes.com/chats.php and once you have connected, type: /join #psypoketrivia

If at any time you have trouble, please tell us in the channel and we will help!
----------------------------------------------
FORMALITIES AND RULES
1. We usually have a big turnout in trivia, so it is necessary to moderate the room. The operators of the channel may set mode +m in-between questions and this reduces lag. You will not be able to talk during this time.
2. When I say "Ready", this indicates that the question is going to be displayed soon. Please do not reply "Yes" or something equally as lame :P
3. You may guess as many times as you wish, unless the question states otherwise
4. The host's decisions are final and if you really want to complain, type the following: /msg ChanServ COMPLAINT: Your complaint here
Although your answer may appear on your screen first, it takes time for binary digits to travel over the Internet to New Zealand. I will award the point based on who appears on my screen first.
5. The topic breakdown is as follows. There will be 60 questions, plus one bonus question. This should take us an hour or so.
RBY Questions (10)
GSC Questions (10)
RSE/LGFR Questions (15)
Anime and TCG (5)
Psydex (5)
Techdex (5)
Psypokes (5)
Miscellaneous (6)

You need to go into the Psypoke chats. To get there, use the java applet found here, and part #psypoke and join #psypoketrivia.

You could also use a IRC chat program and connect to the DarkMyst server (irc.darkmyst.org port 6667) and join #psypoketrivia. :)

Australia is two hours behind New Zealand. That means the trivia will be held at 11am on Saturday, 14th January for Australians.

Erm....Can't the England time be moved? It's the least likely (most) people will be on... I certainly won't be on, especioally as i'm back at school now...

Either that or I can't participate :(

Matey... It's on a weekend, the night between Friday and Saturday. Stay up late one time in your life. Also, you can't just move the England time without moving all the other times - that's just how the world works, you know. A bad time for you is a good time for the rest of the world. Arr.

I know I'm acting like a noob, but will this be over pokemon stuff, or random stuff?

Yo-Ho, I'm bored and depressed, so I'm going to post some random observations:
1) You left MST off the common list. I feel left out.
2) You picked a Friday the 13th. Not that I'm superstitious or anything.

Well no matter what day it is I know I will be apart of it. The quiz most likely will be based around pokemon on my opinoin since this is after all a pokemon site.

No, fool, the questions will be on the mating habits of the African swallow.

It was probably just a joke, Latios, no need to freak out. And, Skytune, haven't you done at least one of these quizzes before? You should know what kinds of thing it will cover.

Just curious, TK, is it just ribbons or are psybucks up for grabs, too?

It is impossible to accomodate for everyone at the site. Sorry.

This is sad. I can't tune in, because my mom and dad will NEVER in a million years let me stay up till 12PM. And especially not to stay on the computer talking to 16 year old pirate dudes.

7pm EST is one of the better times we've had it for Britain, it used to be at 9pm EST, which would be 2am in the UK.

Speaking of that... Where did all this "Arr matey", "ye", "landlubber" and all that pirate stuff come from?
It's not World Pirate Week is it?

And good point Tom...

Racist...
Kryten, you're the same race as me. And I am sorry if you took it as a racist comment, I didn't mean it to be. If we make a different time, it'll be inconvient for someone else. Poor Nido, he has to stay up until 2:00am for the trivia. :( ~Krisp
