Jakob shook his head and spat out a tooth. "Wow, that hurt." Slowly the tooth grew back out of his gum and Jakob stood up refreshed. The ruby was now a very light shade of pink. He said another command and, with another flash, the ruby stopped healing him. He turned around just in time to see the "map" swirl through an open doorway and down a corridor. He stumbled after it, leaning against the doorway for support. "The ruby may heal me, but ater the energy wears out I begin to feel pretty tired," he explained to Serrevia, trying to change the subject.

Seeing that her master was in no state to do so, Serrevia chased their make-shift map and grabbed it. Returning to Jakob, she handed it to him wordlessly. She couldn't think of anything to say.

Jakob began to make his way out of the doorway, but he slipepd up. It was raining so hard, now, that the corridor he was at the entrance to was practically becoming a river. He tried frantically to keep a hold of the doorway, but he slipped away and began to get pushed down the hallway by the water.

After a minute of this terrible treatment, my suit is wrecked, he came out into a small room. A pipe running from the roof was leaking steadily, and a small bucket, meant to be catching the falling water, had been washed into a corner of the room. The water was washing away into some unknown crevice. Jakob stood up uncertainly. Suddenly he recognised the room from Mandrake's description. He had found it! the secret stockpile! Now how to open it?

After a moment of trying to remember, Jakob reached itn oa pile of logs and shifted something around. Instantly a brick on the opposite side of the wall slid away. Gradually more bricks did so until there was a small gap in the wall, wide enough for a man to step through.

Jakob did so. Then there was a sharp intake of breath.

Serrevia swore and transformed as the water washed hr master away. Her choice of form was easily explained - seagulls could fly and survive well in water. Flying into the room she heard the intake of breathe from the opening in the wall and flew over to see what was happening.

"It's so... lame..." Jakob sighed, looking at the poor quality inferno sticks and detonation rods. "There must be somethign of worth in here. Serrevia, find anything of medium to strong magical power. None of this crappy flash-and-bang stuff."

"Riight." Serrevia drawled. Flying into the room, she took on her human form and began searching. She found an amulet of fairly potent power, as well as a charged staff that seemed to have at least a 9th level djinni imprisoned in it.

"How's this, boss?" she asked, holding up her finds.

Jakob looked at the amulet skeptically. "That's just nothing. I've seen it before in Ms. Farrar's collection. She said it was just a worthless trinket, something she found in an Indian Maharaja's set... oh." he grabbed the amulet and the staff, then began to walk from the room. "Tell me what they do while we walk."

"I don't know what they do!" Serrevia exclaimed, hurrying after him. "I'm a djinni, not a fortune-teller!"

"You must have some sort of hunch!" Jakob said, not looking back, "well, it doesn't matter. Mr. Mandrake will be happy with it." Jakob waved the staff around happily, "and I even got a present for myself."

"You're keeping that? I think it might be like a lowed level Gladstone's Staff. It can probably shoot beams of energy like his, anyway."

Still following him, Serrevia looked over the staff curiously.

Jakob saw Serrevia looking at the staff. He chucked it to her. "Have a closer look, maybe you can tell me how to work it." Jakob climbed out of the doorway and into the now sunlit alley.

"I don't think I could." Serrevia said. "You're the magician, you know words of power - you figure it out."

"Well then you can carry it for me until we get home." Jakob began to walk down the street, shivering from the cold. "Dry my clothes, please, I'm soaked and freezing."

Serrevia took the staff and lit a small Flame to dry him off, rolling her eyes. Thsi was more like the master-slave relationship that she was used to in a summoning.

Jakob walked out into the street and began to walk back towards the Thames. In a few minutes he was hopelessly lost. "I should have used the map..."

Serrevia sighed and gave him the staff. Changing form to a small blackbird, she flew up to have a look around at her surroundings. Flying back, she changed back and took the staff again.

"Go up that alley." she pointed to an alley just behind them. "Follow it around, then take a left turn first chance you get. that'll take you back to where you know."

Jakob walked down the alley, making sure he looked out for all left turns. None came for a while. Finally he saw it. There was a street ahead, and he recognised it as the street that Mr. Pennyfeather's shop was on.

David had been in Loyalist territory for a few hours now. So far, no one suspected his disguise. Unfortunately, he could not find any sign of Jakob and since he was in disguise as a begger looking for a job, he couldn't ask around.

He thought about E.D.'s instructions.

"You've got one month to learn as much as you can. After that we'll stage your murder, we'll say it was a gambling debt that you never payed."

He sat down on a bench infront of a shop that was called "Pennyfeather's" in a manner that a begger would. Even in the rain he had to stay in character.

"Man my feet are killing me." He said.

Apparently, this magician, Harry McSomethingoranother, was in a high position in the Patriot faction. I figured he had to have some family ties. In addition to his almost frightening gluttony, this idiot almost never stopped talking. I swear I must have known every single one of the Patriots deepest, darkest secrets, the way he was spitting them out. Not that I listened, of course. I was preoccupied playing target practice with every imp I see. I don't even think Fatty cared. Maybe it made him look powerful, or so he thought.

His commands were to attack everything that could hurt him. And those imps looked pretty threatening to me. I'm guessing there will be a few complaints about not recieving messages. At first, I just beat up an unexpecting imp that flew right over my masters head, but then I decided I might as well have some fun.

Eventually, I started attacking inadiment ((sp?)) objects, until, well, I went a little overboard. There was this extremely menacing street lamp, and I thought to myself, that certainly looks like it could hurt him. So I kicked it. That's all it took, a mere kick, to send the thing crahing onto Potbelly's head.

"Oops", I said, as I was released from my charge and returned to the Other Place.

Let me get this straight........ Anade is a Werewolf right? then where does it that you can't be a Werewolf? hmmmm lets see............. nowhere! then why can't my character be a Vampire? and before you say that Werewolves are humans..... so are Vampires but they just happen to be dead..... Does anyone see my point?

((No we dont. And if you had read undead's first post like the rest of us did, you would know why. Enforcers have the power to become werewolves. By saying her affiliation is Enforcers she automatically gets that power. Much as my guy instantly gets magical resistence out of the fact that he is a Commoner.

Now that you realize that there are rules, please read them.))

((2x4b, if you read the introduction, you would realize that the werwolves have their own faction. I also did not put "werewolf" as my species--I was human. The main thing, though, is that Undead started this RP and if he says no vampires, then there are no vampires. If you want to be a vampire in an RP, you can always start your own.))

Andraa had followed Jakob until he had gotten cornered by those Commoners in the alley. She had seen what had happened, but when the Commoners had run from him, she had had to get out of the way in case they recognized her as a magician. When she glanced back into the alley, Jakob was gone.

Andraa had taken to walking streets, hoping to not attract any attention, but she was much more nervous in the Commoner part of town then she ever was anywhere else. She had sent the other Enforcers back to their part of town just to keep any extra fights from breaking out.

She was looking into a shop with the name "Pennyfeather" on it when a beggar came and sat on a bench right in front of the shop. Slightly disgusted by his appearance, she started walking away from the store when she heard a footfall in the alley next to the store. She glanced curiously down the alley and saw Jakob hurrying towards her with an amulet in his hand.

She quickly put a look of surprise on her face and hurried down the alley. "Jakob!" She stopped a few feet from him. "I'm glad I found you." She looked at the amulet, pretending to just have noticed it. "Oh! You got the items already? I was supposed to help you get them, but I didn't get to you in time and I wasn't sure where you went." Andraa looked down a little sheepishly.

((Andraa was going to attack Jakob to get the item? :P))

Yes, the thing is....... I READ THE RULES! and Undead did NOT say no Vampires, did he not? EXACTLY so someone might want to PUT it in the rules and not automatically expect someone to know! God I'm sick of being treated like a frickin idiot!
