Carmen saw that the commoner had stopped, and she flew down closer to him. He was soaking wet, and had taken his shirt off. She landed on a building and folded her wings in. She looked at him,
"He MUST be up to something!" She whispered to her self. She hung over the edge of the building, try to get a better look. Suddenly, she lost her balance and fell off of the rooftop, and into the alley below.

She landed with a large thump, right next to the young man.

Jakob nodded and looked around to see Serrevia coming out from an alley, and he waved her over. "We need to get out of here, and fast. Can you help?"

David saw the little bird fall and chuckled lightly. "Poor little guy." He said.

He took off his gauntlets, bent over, and picked up the bird.

This was not in the least bit what I had expected.

Upon arriving at the building from which I departed, I arrived to find Hawkins stooped over some papers at a desk.

"Your early", he said, eyes piercing my skull. I was a sparrow now, until I was entirely through the window, where I became my usual guise of the boy. "Care to explain why?"

"To be perfectly honest, I really don't", I told him.

"I have no time for your games, Murmanthius", he spat, sounding angry for the first time.

"Fine, fine", I replied. "Like I have any choice anyway."

I proceded to tell him of everything that had happened since we last parted. His face remained passive as I recounted the tale. Finally, I finished and, after a brief pause, my master spoke.

"... You threw him into a wall?!", he bellowed.

"Well, yes", I said, expecting a rush of pain any moment now. "Twice, if my memory serves. Or was that the werewolf?"

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!" He must have been heard in Prague. "iT WAS RASH, IT WAS DANGEROUS IT WAS... genious."

This was the slightest bit unexpected. Just to make sure, I dug two massive fingers into my ears and pulled out any renegade gunk. I felt the need to clear my head, so I slapped myself in the face a couple of times. It hurt, but it got rid of the dumbfounded look that was no doubt hiding my extravagant facial features.

"Would you please repeat that?" I asked him, trying to sound calm.

"Look, all you need to know is that I'm looking to cause this guy some trouble. Him being hurled into a solid wall, even with the help of a werewolf and stronger demon to back him up, by a single djinni, tickles me a bit. I have the feeling that I'll be needing your help again, Murmanthius."

I was struck speechless, for once.

Serrevia nodded and transformed back into the dragon. Kneeling down to allow them to climb onto her back, she asked Jakob where they were going to go.

I didn't even have enough time to rest up in the Other Place. Hawkins figured that I might as well stay since my next assignment would start early the next day, at latest. I certainly wasn't looking forward to continuous labor like this. For the night, I simply had to keep a lookout on the building where Hawkins lived, a simple task for a simple building, though I was quite certain that we didn't have to worry about enemies. He just wanted me to have something to do. No rest for the weary.

This gave me plenty of time to ponder the days events however. As I thought about it, I really didn't see why Serrevia and her master were such a threat to Hawkins. They seemed noble enough, if stupid, in the way that a human would attempt to hold back an enemy djinni just by latching onto it. Yes, quite foolish, but still noble and selfless. They didn't seem that bad.

Jakob climbed onto the dragon's back, holding out a hand for Andraa. "We need to get back to Mandrake. You do know where he lives, don't you? Or have you been living under a rock for the past thousnad years?"

The little bird was shocked that the person had picked her up, and she quickly jumped out of his hand. She then transformed into her perferred form, and glared at him.
"Get your hands off of me, you commoner!"

Although most people would probably be scared out of their wits right about now, David knew this djinn wasn't after him.

"Freakin djinns, no manners. I guess I'm not your target though. If I was, your first coarse of action wouldn't be to tell me to get my hands off of you; unless you're really bad at your job. So why are you following me, if your master doesn't want me dead?"

((I have a question. About what time is it at this point? I thought it was getting pretty late in the day, but maybe I'm wrong.))

Andraa took Jakob's hand and swung up behind him. It felt odd straddling a dragon, but, hey, it worked for quick travel. Andraa was a little nervous about flying--she obviously preferred ground travel--but she tried to make her muscles relax so that she didn't show her anxiety. Of course, she was also wondering what Mandrake would do now that Jakob knew she was a werewolf, too. She just hoped she could make a quick escape if need be.

((P.S. The queen of RP is back!!! *excitement x eleventy-two million* ))

Snorting, Serrevia rose steadily into the air, flapping her powerful wings.
"I haven't been summoned here for how long? You place too much faith in the fame of your pitiful little city, to assume I'd know where your leader lives." she scowled. "Fortunately for you, I do happen to know the place." Sweeping her wings and flicking her tail, she set off in the right direction, wondering what her master had planned next.

Having no patience to waste on a djinn that wouldn't acknowledge his questions, David walked on. It was late, he wanted to get to bed, and he knew E.D. would want a full report and chew him out before he got any sleep.

"This just isn't my week." He said to himself.

((I really don't want this RP to end, so I'll post again to see if someone else will also come back.))

"Murmanthius", I heard my master call to me out of the window. "I have more for you to do now, so get in here."

I had remained on the balcony in the form of a gargoyle, which just happened to appear very out of place on the metal scaffold right outside the window to Hawkin's room. I really didn't care. This guy wasn't some big government official, or even have a job from what I've seen. I had a feeling he wasn't really in any immediate danger.

"Since you did such a magnificent job with your last assignment", he said once I had gotten in the window and turned back into the medieval boy, "you'll be doing something similar again. This time, I want you to really humiliate those same people that I sent you to find before."

This was annoying. I really didn't get what this guy was thinking. Humiliate them? Next I'll be ordered to kill them. "What is it with your strange fascination with this single magician? Is this some sort of age old grudge? Payback? Or did you just see him walking one day and decide he looks like he needs some trouble in his life? Who is he? Tyranical dictator? Mortal enemy? Or just a pesky relative?"

"Shut up! You are such a talkative bother."

Fine, if he wanted to be that way, I didn't care. I'll just do this task and be gone.

((Urgh, the computer just deleted my reply AGAIN (because of bad Internet service), but I've been sick recently and unable to get on. I'd really like to continue the RP if possible, though, so I'm going to try to keep it going this once...))

The flight was short--only a few minutes--and they soon landed outside Mandrake's office, just a little too hard for Andraa's stomach. She lurched off the djinni's back and landed on her hands and knees on the ground, queezy (sp?) and unsteady on her feet. One thing was for sure, she was never going to fly like that again.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. My master had sent me into the middle of enemy territory. And whats more, to the front door of the office of the leader of the Loyalist faction. Which means I'm going to die. And I don't really want to die right now.

I'll just have to wait until my quarry leaves.

"...and that's the whole story E.D.." David said as he finished his debriefing. "Can I please get some rest now?"

"No, you can not go get some rest now. You totally screwed up the mission, endanger yourself beyond what was needed, and formed an alliegence, however temporary it may be, with the enemy.

"You'll get some rest on your way to your next mission." E.D. said with a sneer.

Wonderful, just wonderful.

Slighty amused at the girl's weak stomach, Serrevia waited for her master to alight then transformed back to her human form.

"So, what are we here for?" she asked cheerfully.
