"Sorry Jakob, but a betrayal of alliances, even temperary ones, is a crime punishable by death among Commoners."

As Andraa leaped, David did the only thing he could do. He swung his arm underhand and grabbed her just as her fangs were about to make contact.

"Sorry, no side effects like with the djinn."

Jakob wasn't happy with this. He'd made a sacrifice to this commoner in becoming his ally and now the scum was hurting his friend. His body suddenly felt hot, and the ruby flashed brightly. Enormous power rushed through his body, his leg healed, and he leaped through the air at the commoner. As he flashed ahead he swung a fist quickly at the commoner's jaw.

Focusing all of his efforts on restraining the ware wolf, David didn't realize the punch was coming until it hit him in the side of the face, causing him to let go.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" He asked Jakob after teetering to regain his balance. "Andraa, as you call her, is two things: First, she's clearly not a magician, so unless you're changing sides and becoming an Enforcer, she lied to you. Second, she is the one who betrayed first. What was I supposed to do, let her rip my throat out?"

Carmen was leaning under a wall, under the light of a street lamp. Madame Slumberwinnow had let her out of the house, but it was dreadfully boring. She began to walk down the sidewalk humming a song to herself.
"God, must the world be this boring?" She mumbled to herself. Sometimes she wished Madame Slumberwinnow let her be a demon in public, just for fun's sake. While Carmen was letting her mind wander, her foot caught on a newspaper, causing her to fall into a puddle of water.
"Great" she thought "Now I'm bored AND wet..."

A roar pierced the air, causing her to flinch. A scream came soon after, and Carmen looked around the corner to see what was happening...

Serrevia didn't look like she was going to attack right away, so I thought it was best not to give her time to think. Forgetting my dragon guise, I became the boy again, and acted. Aiming a Detonation, I let the attack fly, and without even waiting to see if it had made contact, I rapidly charged to the nearest street lamp, aiming more distractive explosives at the djinni. Tearing the pole from the concrete, I leapt high into the air with rain pelting my back, and brought the steel street lamp down upon Serrevias scaly head.

Jakob hesitated for a second - an alliance with an enemy faction was stupid if he wanted to stay in his position - but when did he ever listen to what a commoner said? He growled angrily and leaped at the commoner again, tackling him around the waist.

Jakob's tackle, although enough to get knock David on the ground, was nothing close to a strong attack that could do any real damage after he absorbed what he needed from Andraa. What's more, he left the back of his neck wide open.

I could jam my knife through his throat and kill him off now. No need for reconisence then, and we'd have one less djinn to worry about. But, I swore I wouldn't try to kill him until we meet again. Although he did tackle me, this is nothing leathel.

I guess Jakob'll get a little energy drain.

"Sorry Jake-o but you attacked me first." David said as he grabbed Jakob's neck with his gauntlet.

((You didn't give me enough time to post the reaction! ...I'll suppose it was because the contact wasn't long enough.))

Andraa, flung to the side when Jakob tackled the commoner, stood up, completely unharmed and actually fully restored. She had been about to try to transform back when the commoner attacked Jakob.

As a spy, she shouldn't be getting herself in so much trouble and she shouldn't be protecting someone she had just met, but Jakob had tried to protect her. With a growl of frustration and hatred, she flung herself at the commoner once more.

She threw herself right into the commoner's side, effectively throwing him off Jakob before he had touched Jakob for even a second. She actually grabbed his gauntlet in her mouth, trying to bite through it.

One moment, things were fine, the next, the world exploded and Andraa found herself flying into a nearby wall. She squinted through the smoke and saw the commoner against the opposite wall. In between them lay two badly charred items--neither of which would ever probably work again.

Andraa groaned and put her hand to her head. Only then did she realize that she was fully human again.

Carmen was amazed. Not in a long time had she seen such a sight. Not one, but five people fighting in the street. There were two djinni fighting, a werewolf and two humans in the middle of a clash. Carmen snuck into the shadows near the action and sat down. She sunk down near an alley, her golden eyes transfixed to the five people. She wondered where the came from, and why they were fighting. Carmen had not seen this calibur of action since she wen't to India over 2,000 years ago. She took a small pendant from one of her pockets, and put it around her neck. It would be useful later.

A squall of wind rushed passed her face, and a loud noise came thundering from the wall next to her. The werewolf had rocketed into the wall, and Carmen, out of suprise ran out of her sanctuary in the darkness, and into the field of the battle.

Jakob was flung down the street, rolling head over heels. He came to a complete stop, then sat up for a second. He felt at his head, as it was pulsing slightly, and found blood. His vision blurred and he fell to the ground, his limbs tingling slightly and his ruby completely blank.

((His neck was exposed because Jakob tackled David, which mean his head was down and his shirt wasn't covering his neck. No god-modding there.))

David swaggered a bit to regain his balance. "Freaking traitors. This is why only commoners should rule England." He gripped his knife in his mouth and put on his other gauntlet.

Gotta get my right-hand gauntlet before they get up. Then I'm out of here. Let them help Serrevia fight that other djinn. David made a dash for the gauntlet, grabbed it and started running away.

((Sorry guys.. I've been busy with schoolwork, you know, and haven't been RPing much. Please feel free to god-mode my character if the need arises and I'm not around.))

Falling to the ground in pain, Serrevia shook her head slightly, trying to clear it. Hazily she transformed back into her more or less human form, clutching her aching head. Blinking, she tried to focus, to find the other djinn, but before she could make another move, she fell back and blacked out.

((Glad to see you back, CF.))

Well, that worked better then I expected it to. I had now walked up to the fallen djinni, and was studying my handiwork. She didn't look too good. I knew that I ought to kill her, since reporting that to my master may ease the punishment slightly, but it really wasn't worth it. Something told me that our lives would somehow intertwine again, and to be honest, I looked forward to it.

I began to turn away, but glanced back briefly.

"By the way", I said, "My name is Murmanthius."

And with that, I became a black dog and darted off.

((Don't worry, I'll be back. I've got something planned. ))

As David ran down the alley ways back and forth through commoner territory he was rather thankful that it was raining.

"At least this way, neither Serrevia nor Andraa will be able to track my scent. E.D. is going to be pissed enough at me without me leading a djinn and a warewolf back to HQ."

Jakob blinked and his vision unblurred slowly. He was lying in a puddle in the middle of the street, his head hurting unbelievably. His clothes were soaked and he felt a cold coming on. He sat up, shouted for Serrevia, and then stumbled over to Andraa. "We'd better get out of here."

Waking up slowly, Serrevia looked around for the djinn that had attacked her. He was nowhere to be seen. She swore in ancient Egyptian, climbing to her feet. Luckily her form hadn't slipped while she was out, but she could feel the dull ache building up inside her chest. Hearing her master call her, she transformed into a sleek black panther, not caring about secrecy, and darted off through the alleyways to find him.

Andraa groaned again and pushed herself up. "Wait a sec." She stumbled over to the blackened amulet and picked it up, hoping that maybe it would still be useful to someone. She looked over at Jakob and smiled crookedly. "Okay, I think it's time we better go--before anyone else finds us here."

Carmen was now wet, but she was no longer bored. One of the people had run off into the alley, but the other two remained. She walked into the alley that the one human had entered, hoping to find him. He seeming curious, and wished to find out more about him.
At first, she walked, but found it was hard to catch up to him. Then, her small wings grew into large bird wings, and she jumped into the sky. She eventually caught up with the man, and flew over him.

David was exhausted when he finally made it to Commoner territory. No longer under a rain cloud, he ringed out his clothes and took his shirt off to let it and him dry.

"That was a close one." He said to himself. He looked up in the sky and saw a bird flying above him. "Now that's a good life. Flying effortlessly, only thing to worry about is eating and sleeping, and no freak'n djinns to worry about. I wonder what that bird is thinking right now."
