Lindy didn't answer but kept walking. She led him through a clearing and down a short trail that branched out into a wide and sheltered beach. There were tall rock cliffs sirrounding it, and where they had come through was a crack through one of the cliffs. The sand was smooth, the waves lapped gently on the shore. It was a beautiful beach. Lindy walked to the edge of the water and pointed. "See over there? That's where your friends are, I think. I heard Admin Lucious saying that they'd set a trap for them." She had to raise her voice slightly to be heard, seeing as a cool wind had begun to blow, whipping her hair around behind her back. She turned back to Alec. "So - do you have any strong water Pokemon?" |

Alec blushed. "Actually, no. But I have an idea that might work..." Alec grabbed the pokeball containg his new Mew and gave a half-smile to Lindy. "I've heard that Mews can transform into anything, purely from memory. I don't know how well it works or how long it last, but I'm willing to try it if you are." |

"Hmm." Lindy thought for a moment. "Well, we could use my Milotic.. If you don't mind getting a little wet that is." |

Lindy nodded and turned to the water. "Let's go, Milotic!" She threw the Dive Ball out into the water and in a burst of light a giant and graceful shape leapt out of the water and swum up to them. In one swift movement Lindy jumped on its back. "Do you need a hand?" she asked Alec, turning to face him. |

((:lol: As a matter of fact, I have seen a shorter post.  And don't worry, I've been reading along the whole time...I think the others may be too busy to read or post, though, so my character's been stuck in one position [and, yes, I could have done something, I've really just been waiting for someone else].))

((Don't worry, we'll join you shortly.)) "Let's go, Milotic!" Lindy commanded. The serpent took off, gliding through the water at a fast pace, splashes of water blowing up at them in the cold wind. "We'd better be quick - I think there's a storm coming." Milotic swam faster, her head bowed against the waves. In moments, they were drawing closer to the shore opposite. "Hold up, Milotic." Lindy said nervously. Without speaking, she pointed to a large lily pad floating innocently nearby with what looked like a pineapple on top. "Friend of yours?" she asked Alec. Leaning over, she whispered into the Milotic's ear. "You'd better hold on to me." she told Alec, grinning slightly. "Chimecho! Use Psychic to create a bubble around us!" With a flash of light the little wind chime Pokemon appeared and gave a chirp. A transparent blue bubble appeared around them. "Let's go." With barely a splash, Milotc reared up and dove beneath the waves. Chimecho's bubble supplied them with air, and from this perspective they could see the Ludicolo floating gently, feet waggling in time to unheard music. Lindy smiled. |

"Why is there a Ludicolo sitting here?" Alec wondered aloud. He stared at it for a moment, then recognized it as the Ludicolo Dom had battled with earlier. He then noted the motorboat sitting in the water docked onto a small reef in the water. Alec put the pieces together. Well, sort of. "Yes! That's Dom's pokemon! They must have captured him or something!" he yelped. He really didn't feel like facing Team Rocket again after what he had just been through, but it didn't look like he and Lindy had much of a choice. ((Make some action, Tanith!! Yay!)) |

That calmed Alec down a lot. "Oh, yeah. You're probably right. But doesn't this whole thing look -- suspicous? It's like there's a trap or something." |

Lindy sighed and took off her Team Rocket hat. "There is a trap. The guys that we ran into were on their way here - they told your friends that they would trade that Celebi for your release. Sufficet to say, they weren't going to release you." Suddenly her Milotic spotted something and reared up. With a startled cry, Lindy was thrown backwards into Alec. ((What did she spot? Its up to you to decide...)) |

Waves erupted from the sea as the ground started to shake. "It's spotted someone," said one of the rockets in front of Tanith. The other just nodded and smiled maliciuously. Alec gaped, as the strip of coral reared up and let out a massive roar. The creature seemed to be a Gyrados, judging by the massive three-pronged horn on it's head and huge fangs, but the body was entirely plated by rocks and coral. The Gyrados glared at Lindy and Alec, then fired a hyper beam at Milotic. The beam of energy blasted right through Chimeco's barrier and hit the Milotic square in the face. |

Lindy started to scream as the beam shot towards them, but she was cut off as Chimecho's bubble disintergrated around them. This was trouble - 50 feet under the sea and no water or ride! they had to get to the surface - fast! Lindy grabbed Alec and recalled her fainted Milotic and Chimecho. Pulling his arm, she began to swim to the surface, trying desperately not to faint. The lack of air was making her head spin, and brilliant dots began to dance before her eyes. She faintly saw the Gyarados rise up in front of her, but before it attacked, Lindy had fainted. |

Alec's mind reeled as he watched Lindy pass out. There was no way he could beat this freakish pokemon. Not even with his Ditto -- he couldn't see enough of the pokemon, and he doubted Ditto could either, before drowning at least. The same dizzying feeling overtook him and fought to stay conscious, The mutated Gyrados glared at him and Lindy with glowing red eyes. Alec made a desperate grab and scooped the girl into his arms and flailed around for something else to grab onto. His hand finally grabbed onto something rocklike and moving. He shook his head and tried to focus on what it was. Damn. The Gyrados's scales. |

The Gyrados snarled as the little human grabbed his scales. With a roar he shot towards the surface in the hopes of shaking them off. |

((Sorry, sorry, I just got back from a short trip...)) Tanith saw the gyrados rear up and was surprised at the size of it (and the strangness of it). She thought she saw something under the water, but she didn't have time to do anything because the Rocket members had finally gotten fed up with their silence. "You want to join your friend?" One of the Rocket members sent out a Machamp. "Machamp, grab them!" The machamp headed straight for Tanith, the weakest looking of the three of them. She quickly stepped back as a shadow fell over the pokemon. A phsychic attack hit the Machamp square in the chest as Noctowl swooped down to stand in front of Tanith. Tanith smiled at the Team Rocket members. "Did you really think I'd come without someone to back me up?" Vaporeon (and all of Tanith's other pokemon) had followed her, deciding that they didn't want to get separated again. Vaporeon saw the large gyrados and, not knowing Dom's Ludicolo was in the water, jumped in, hoping to distract it from Tanith. As Vaporeon dove underwater, she saw Alec with a team rocket member. She recgonized him from earlier and swam up to him, hoping he would understand that she was trying to help,and pushed him away from the gyrados' body. |

Alec's head tilted back roughly as the water rushed at him with great pressure, making him feel dizzy. He felt something scaly brush up against him, and tried to see what it was. A Vaporeon. Tanith's Vaporeon? He could only hope. He quickly released the Gyrados's scale, and suddenly he could see straight again. He grabbed onto the Vaporeon and tried to maintain his nold on Lindy, though he wasn't sure for how long he could do it. Swim fast, Vaporeon... |
