Crimlash increased his speed as he heard a deep voice in the distance say, "Pheonyx...be...pheonyx!"
"That Phoenix from before must be in combat...I hope he survives until I get there."
Crimlash cleared a hotel and saw Gluttony, a large monstrosity with numerous appendages from all species, and heads, scores of heads, all weeping in a despairing chant. Crimlash shuddered as he pulled he bow off his shoulder and knocked an arrow, heating the head and setting the shaft on fire, it could now penetrate through a castle wall. Unlike most bows, his did not bend, the taught string must be pulled back until the entire bow follows; no human could have the strength to do it, but it was routine for a vampire. Crimlash was at a loss for where to aim, there was no clear main body; he shrugged, aimed a particularly dangerous looking dragon head, and fired.

Raine stood there in awe of the moment for a few seconds before speaking back to Blake.

"I... I didn't know you... Sir Blake..." spoke Raine. "You're right, I'm being foolhardy... I apologize."

Immediately after saying that, she hugged Blake.

"...Thank you for protecting me." whispered Raine.

Withdrawing, Raine started slowly rubbing her left arm with her right hand. She looked down at the ground.

"......What should we... er... do now?"

At the time, Blake didn't know what Raine was doing, or how she felt. Blake wasn't especially doing it to protect her either, but he did however believe she would be the key to saving the land of Greed. She was needed and important in that aspect.

Blake looked around for his answer, he shrugged, "...Well, like you said it is our burden, I suppose..." he sighed, walking down the street, "...He's probably fighting Gluttony as we speak... It shouldn't come after us as long as he's still alive. Till then, I guess we should support him and the others, keeping our distance, of course..."

"Come on, we better go," he proceeded.

Alright, basically-

Through some magical coicidence we all run into each other in the town, causing a minor standoff between me and St. Jimmy which is quickly diffused by the combined efforts of Crunchy and redt. Following this, we return to our respective places of rest (with crunchy staying with registeel_rocks and St. Jimmy with redt) to brood over various challenges/backstories. I go looking for St. Jimmy how to better harness the crystals power and see Gluttony eating the city. Dunsparse, who was confronted by Crunchy and whose crystal is part of his body, notices his crystal reacting, and redt notices the tremors from gluttony walking.

"Come on Pheonyx!" Gluttony swung his massive fists at Rumetz. "Let me eat you! You'll be able to stay and mechta and everything!" Rumetz jumped into the air and slashed downwards into one of the various heads adorning Gluttony's body, which gave a shrilll shreak and reached for him. "I really don't fell like going Mechta anytime soon. I here it's full of humans. And I don't feel like fighting hopelessly either, so if you'll excuse me I'de like to leave now." As soon as he said this two hands loomed out of nowhere and grabbed him. "Actually, Pheonyx, you're going to be my snack!"

((No, we're referring to Crunchy's RP character whose name is Blake. Also, I reccomend trying to put more effort into spelling. And for everyone else, I reccomend that you use double parentheses when talking out of character; it makes it more clear that you're talking OOC.))

"Y-yes, I'll follow you." replied Raine, setting out after Blake. She briefly closed her eyes in prayer.

St. Elimine... watch over us all...

The arrows hit, slicing strait through the dragon's head, severing it from the rest, but gluttony didn't seem to notice; Crimlash saw two hands of his hands grab something in the air, Crimlash cursed as he realized what it was. "The phoenix!" No choice now, he would have to use close contact. Crimlash focused on his now-strait bow, heating it up like he did with the arrow tip; in this state the steel wire that served as the string was thin enough to be a blade, so cutting skin right now could be compared to a hot knife through butter. Crimlash spun his staff once above his head and then launched himself at the base of the arms holding the phoenix, he couldn't go for the thinner wrist as that would be too close to the pheonix, and he might accidentally consume him. Crimlash let out a battle hiss as he swung his bow-staff at the right arm.

Syrus finally awoke from his deep slumber. Ever since his show down with Pride he had been fatigued and fell into a deep sleep. He looked around, he was in a small room. He realized it was an inn. Syrus didn't like sleeping for so long. So he decided to pick up his switch blades and the rest of his belongings and search for adventure.

"Shev, huh?" he said in stupor. "I think i'll leave Pride and his Shev alone." Quickly Syrus shuffled through his sack. He pulled out a tattered map. On it were the territories Mechta, Kharn, Shev, and the other territories. Syrus slid his finger from Shev to Mechta.

"I think i'll head that away," He read the small words below MECHTA: BEWARE OF THE TERRITORIAL KING OF ALL MATERIAL LUSTS, GLUTTONY. BRING NOTHING BUT... the rest of the phrase was withered away. Syrus disregarded the warning and tied his black, blue, and gray bandana tight to his buzzcut head.

"To Mechta,"

Blake started running, slowing his speed to match Raine's pace.

Suddenly, something smashed through the house beside him and tackled Blake through the fire and across the street. He was held down by what looked like Gluttony, but a smaller version about Blake's size. Three more appeared from their pervious meal, surrounding Raine with hungry bloodstained faces.

Blake growled, he couldn't move his arms under the weight of the spawn.

I must save Sir Blake!

"Photon!" cried Raine, raising her staff. A sphere of holy light surrounded the creature on top of Blake, and in a matter of seconds the sphere burst, killing the creature with a radiant smite.

Panting, Raine lowered her staff only to be seized from behind. The two creatures at her sides had a hold on her arms, and the third lept in front of her, turning to face Raine. It grinned a wicked smile.

"Unhand me... foul abominations!" shrieked Raine. She struggled to free herself, but it was to no avail. Their grip was like a giant's, and the one in front of her was approaching slowly.

Free, Blake got up and focused power into his hands, then launching this power through the flames, "Burn!" he said, a flamethrower bursting through and torching the first that threated Raine. With a mighty roar, Blake burst through himself with his blade, following it through to slice the right Gluttony, tearing it apart. His left hand free, he froze half of the last spawn with a small blizzard. Making sure Raine was clear, Blake swang his blade around to smash it into pieces.

Holding his blade over the remains, he glared. How could he have been so careless.

"You okay, Raine?"

"Yes Sir Blake... I am fine, thanks to your actions." replied Raine. "I think it would be best to assume there are more of these... abominations... roaming around the town, looking for flesh to feast upon. We must be careful."

Raine approached Blake.

"You ask if I am alright, but what of yourself?" questioned Raine. "The foul beast did not hurt you when he pinned you down, did he?"

"No, thanks to you," he replied, thinking of how she destroyed that monster back there, that pure light, "How did you do that, though? And... what was it exactly?"

"Much like a mage can call upon the elements to use for magical attacks, I call upon divine intervention to cast holy spells." explained Raine. "That spell I used is called Photon; it creates a concentrated sphere of divine radiation, then bursts to smite the foe. It is a middle class holy spell... it takes a good bit out of me."

Raine regained a good hold of herself, returning her breathing to normal.

"I know quite an array of divine spells, ranging from combative spells for self defense to healing spells for aiding the wounded... all according to the will of St. Elimine." informed Raine.

Blake nodded, kind of interested, but frowned after her last sentence, about her god.

"Well, that was quite powerful... You're pretty good." Blake then played around with his left hand, clenching and unclenching, "Magic's a funny thing when it comes down to it. You either have the gift or you don't. Me, I just copied from various others who used the magic. No idea why I can use it, but I don't care either. It's handy and that's all there is to it."

Blake looked over to Raine, with a sort of sadness in his eyes, "But your magic... I don't think I'll ever be able to do it. I..." he turned away, "...Don't believe in anything, let alone a god."

Blaze heard screaming from the other side of the building. "Near we must go and help those people. I'm sure that the others have already encountered something."

Blaze concentrated on his magic and became invisible. "To my knowledge Shadowlings blend into the night so you should be fine."

Raine palced her hand on Blake's shoulder.

"Salvation comes not from believing in a god, but from believing in yourself as a moral, good person." spoke Raine. "But I digress. Forgive me, it is not the time nor the place to discuss these sort of things. Let us move on."

Blake stepped aside, "You're right. Let's go."

After a moment, Blake appeared at the hut Near and Blaze were residing. He then also heard screaming, following the gruesome sounds of flesh being torn apart and eaten.

Blake growled, then looking over into the distance. Crimlash, and Rumetz seemed to be there also. "Ugh, idiot... But then how was he supposed to know the Gluttony crystal was..."

He turned to Raine, "Until Gluttony is destroyed we'll have to keep fighting those spawns. Lead the way."

Blaze opened his palm and a fireball appeared, lighting the ally. He dropped his invisibility so that everyone could see him.
The light revealed a corpse on the other side of the hut lying on the ground. Blood began to pool around Blazes' feet. "Whoever it was didn't stand a chance."
Blaze looked over at Raine," There was nothing you could of done milady."

"We need to divide into two teams and search the city for these(he looked at the spawn lying on the ground) things and destroy them. Blake cannot go with me for he is a close combat specialist, I need a long range or fast killer for I am to take to the air and attack from there." Blaze looked at Near and Raine,"Who will go with me and who will go with Blake?"

I won't be posting for the next 3 or four days as I'll be camping in big bend.
To explain it story wise-

Gluttony's giant fist slammed into Rumetz and knocked him out cold

Blake huffed, not even bothering to face the two. "Now what makes you think I'm just efficient at close combat..." Just at that moment, another Gluttony discovered the light of the dragon and began running crazily at it. Noticing, Blake gathered energy and swang his sword into the air. A bolt of lightning hit dead centre of the beast's head, paralysing it. Blake finished it up with a rapid fireball attack, three in total, with his left hand, leaving nothing left but a scotched black barbeque.

"Near's better suited in this environment and Raine can heal the survivors. I...believe in them both," he looked over to Raine, nodding. Blake turned to Near with all his seriousness, "Look after her."

Blake walked up to Blaze, "Sorry about this, but will you take me instead?"

Crimlash slashed strait through the right arm just as the left knocked the phoenix unconscious. Crimlash hit the ground and then launched himself strait up through that one too, this time Gluttony noticed; but instead of screaming in pain, he growled, apparently his appendages couldn't cause him pain. The phoenix fell from his grasp. For a secound, Crimlash didn't know what to do, he couldn't carry the phoenix aways as close contact would make him consume him; fortunately, the hand was still wrapped around the phoenix, so Crimlash grabbed the end of the arm and pushed the entire thing away, sliding on a trail of blood. Once his comrade was safe, Crimlash turned his attention to the giant hulk of flesh in front of him, "You and me." Crimlash thought as he charged forward and put both crystal hands on the beast, they began to glow, but this time, the light could be felt.

The vampire laughed manically as his crystal was activated.

"Your powers never cease to surprise me Blake." Blaze turned and motioned to his head to get his back.
"I do have one question though. You are not an ordinary human from what I can tell, so I ask you this....how old are you really?"
