The ghost trainer bowed formally, leaving Pandora and Ginger on their own for a moment while he focused on looking official, and at least a little spooky. He was supposed to be a representative for the spirits amongst humans, after all. But it couldn't hurt to loosen up a little for one night… "Oh dear, he's got that glint in his eye" muttered Pandora. "Keep him away from the fishing pond game- last time he tried to 'blend' at a festival we had a crowd of angry parents at our door the next day accusing him of scaring their children half to death. They were completely wrong, of course- with the height some of those two year olds jumped to I'd say it was at least three quarters of the way to death." "That was partially your fault too, Pan" replied Cassius defensively. |

"I dunno if that's as bad as the time Sidney beat up a clown because he looked like he was mugging an old lady. He was in the hospital for a week. Guess he'll think twice before making balloon animals." She smiled innocently. "But don't worry. My cuteness makes up for both of your ugly faces." |

"Oh yea? Well there was one time six years ago at a cotton candy stand, wh-" "One more word, Pandora, I dare you" hissed Cassius in poke-speak, "and if you two don't stop trading trainer horror stories, the darkling hears about The Toffee Incident, and Sidney hears about your early morning escape from your pokeball the other night, Ginger- don't think I didn't notice that." |

"Ohhh, how evil of you," Ginger muttered, shaking her head at Cassius. "Tisk, tisk. Who knew you could play so dirty. Come on, Sidney. Let's go hit the food stands." But the trainer was too wrapped up in the excitement. "So, Cass...what do you want to do first?" |

"I think Sidney has the right idea, actually- I'm famished" replied Cassius, blinking several times as his eyes stopped glowing and reverted to the comparatively normal violet shade. His fangs retracted and his hair stopped floating as well, although he had to shake it a little to make it regain its usual spikes. |

Ginger wandered past several of the stands which had been set up in long rows, trying to sniff out the best one. "Oh, they have pizza here. This one smells like...hamburgers and hotdogs. And this...I have no idea what that is, but this one smells like they have pokechow." Sidney, whose sense of smell wasn't quite as acute as the Absol, chose to read the signs. |

Cassius didn't have the same sense of smell as an absol, but he did breath deeply to take in the aromas of the various food stalls. One stall nearby smelled particularly appetizing, but the man behind it gave him a very weird look. "Are you okay, sir? This is a stall for pokemon food" he said. Pandora snickered. |

Ginger moved up beside Cassius, putting her front paws up on the counter. "I'd like a bowl of pokechow, please. Oh, and two for my dead friends over here." She gestered to the ghosts. "Come on. Chop, chop." But the man didn't understand Pokemon. "I think she wants some of your pokechow, sir," Sidney translated. "What about you?" she asked the ghost. "Willing to risk standing out?" |

"Three orders of pokechow then, sir" said Cassius. Pandora frowned. "Well, that's all fine and good for me, but what about you and Ginger" he said. "Surely you should order a little something for yourselves…" The man blinked and shrugged- tourists could be so strange sometimes- but he got them their food without any comments. |

"Mm-mmm! Looks tasteh! Yoink!" Ginger grabbed her bowl before anyone else could. Afraid to put it down in case Pandora or Cassius swiped it from her. "I think she's hyper," the young girl told Cassius. "She usually gets like this during big celebrations." ((I might be too busy to post much more tonight. I'm sorry.  ))

"Or just realistically worried about Pandora taking her food- I'm a little concerned, too" replied Cassius, calmly taking his own bowl and letting the other ghost take his. "Oh come on, it was just that one… those two times, and I was really, really hungry" replied Pandora, nibbling on a chunk of his food. Cassius, determined not to look completely weird, took a fork from a neighboring stand. ((No worries  ))

"I gues it's safe to let one of my party members out, so I'll let out...Static.", he said to himself. He took out Static's Pokeball, and opened it with a press of the button. "Huh? Where am I?", asked Static. Of course, he wouldn't get an answer, seeing how his trainer wouldn't understand him. Then he saw it, a huge pile of Pokechowder on a platter. Now Static was starving, I mean famished. "Huh? Where'd Static go? Oh no...", Mike said the last sentence in embarrassment as Static practically cannonballed into the Pokechowder, gobbling it up, chunk by chunk. "I think I should've chosen someone else...", sighed Mike. |

"Tch, Maiden's is worse. If she couldn't phase through her collection, I think she would be sleeping outside" piped in Pandora, determined to one-up the dark pokemon. "I think there will be fireworks later, too" said Cassius, "but the festival games sounds like a good idea." "Just remember- no fishing pond" added Pandora, giggling. |

And as if Sidney could suddenly understand Pokemon speak, she asked, "Hey. How about the fishing game? I'm good at that." "Actually, you should play the 'ring the bell' game with a mallet and prove female superiority." But the only reason Ginger brought it up was because they might be able to use that mallet to knock Cassius senseless. She had missed out on it last time. |

"Uh, I'd better not" said Cassius as Pandora laughed louder. "There was an… incident a few years ago, Pandora wouldn't let me live it down if…" "…If he met another large group of small children and decided to say 'hello', then forgot that he was supposed to be a human?" supplied Pandora. |

((Curses. My post was lost.)) The Absol laughed out loud. "Y'know, I bet Cassius was more scared than all those children combined once their parents decided to come after him." "An incident? What could possibly happen fishing?" They didn't even use real hooks. "Fine, what are you good at then? I usually manage to win something from the bottle game." "No. That last time they gave you the doll 'cause you were hitting everything but the bottles." |

"That sounds like a good place to start, then" said Cassius. Any game that didn't specifically have a 'no pokemon may play, sorry trainers!' sign next to it was, in his eyes, a good game, and he'd probably have better luck with bottle toss than ring the bell. "Heyheyhey, don't speak lightly of the Angry Mob" said Pandora to Ginger. "Have you ever angered a child's mother by scaring the kid?… On second thought, I've seen you walking around in public, so I guess the answer there is 'yes'." |

"Have you looked around lately?" Ginger mused. "You're a ghost. People are always staring at you like you're from another world...which I don't know if you are or not. You ghosts are really confusing." "I've had practice throwing from battles. Pokeballs are good training devices." Sidney gave a small laugh. "Can you eat along the way? "Thanks to opposable thumbs, I should be able to carry and eat at once" said Cassius. Pandora mumbled something about humans, grabbing his plate with both claws and stuffing his face. "Are you going to come along, Static?" "We're not from another world, we're just going there" said Pandora, mouth half full. "It's kinda like being stuck halfway, except we get really cool powers and stuff too." |

"Uh...", said Static, finally aware he was making a spectical of himself, seeing that most of the people around him were staring at him. "Yeah, I'm going.", he said as he scurried off the table, that had a particluarly empty bowl where the Pokechowder once was. ------ "Now, where am I going again, aw well, I'll just look around. I hope Static isn't embarassing himself too much." |

Ginger winced as flecks of Pandora's food hit her in the face. "Don't talk with your mouth full," she ordered the ghost. "And don't think you're so special 'cause you can go through walls...and float around...and freely move your hands." She blinked slowly. "Y'know, this is depressing me. Maybe I should die too." She chuckled, not really taking the idea seriously. "Maybe I'll come back as a Gastly and give you a lick." |
