"Grumpy eh? So I guess we can't protect ourselves?" Pan began walking toward the forest where the pokemon had gone. "Don't you want to see what it is?" he asked the group. They ran in the direction we needed to go anyway.

I started to try to repair my last nerve, before it broke. This guy...
I walked into the forest anyway. "Come, Kinar. It's not our fault if they are attacked, we'll just heal them anyway." I said that loudly, and not caring if any of them listened. I took point, and Kinar stayed by my side.

Stay where you are, we'll come to you. Sevear ordered Duke through the mental connection. And please be safe.

Sevear began to follow Pan. Several minutes down the path, he saw Duke waiting on the side of the road.

"Where is your Dusknoir?" Sevear asked Ben as they continued down the path, "And i'd like to hear more about the trial, if you wouldn't mind."

I saw the Sentinel's Lucario. I kept walking faster than the men, and Kinar understood how mad I was and followed swiftly by my side, my arm and hand on her back. Their pokemon could be in danger, and their making conversation!! Man, sometimes I really hate men...

"May I ask what the problem is?" Sevear asked Hiroki in a harsh manner.

He didn't think she would respond, much less hear him, but he decided to ask anyways.

I turned my head away from him. "It's nothing." I said, ending the discussion.
It was morning, and because of Xin combined with my usual grumpy morning person, I was really ticked off. Apparently, Sentinel and I hd gotten off to a bad start.

"Focus people. We have a Dusknoir to find. Growlithe! Shoot up a flare where you and the Dusknoir are!" Sure enough. A beam of fire blazed in the sky ahead.

((Just so you know, Tom is following the group as a Nidorino.))

"If you don't mind my asking, Sir, where exactly are we headed?" asked Sevear.

((Wait, i'm confused. Did Tom's morphing with his Ditto allow him to transform?))

I looked up at the flare. "Way to go. I wonder how many enemies heard you." I said to Pan, obviously in a bad temper.
I took back, now ignoring the men, and thinking about Xin and Tom. What are they up to... I thought, and hearing a noise, I turned around. I thought I saw a pokemon, but it wasn't there. "Keep an eye out behind us." I told Kinar.

"wait... STOP" Ben called as Pan called for a flare.

Ben rounded on the others "Eclipse and I have been on our own since before some of you were born" He said a frown tugging the corners of his mouth.

"She knows exactly what she is doing and as a ghost type she has little to worry about coming to harm. She scouts I listen and everyone is kept safe, but when you order your pokemon to go following her, the job of keeping us safe now becomes harder. If we were in iminent danger I would warn you all as I did last night against that monster" At that statment he pointed at the pokemon following them

"And you!" He said rounding on Sevear "If you value your life you will never ask about that trial again."

I smiled at Ben. Finally. Someone who thinks things COMPLETELY through....

"I guess I touched a nerve there, eh?" Sevear said jokingly to Ben.

"And you..." said Sevear, now facing Hiroki, " why are you so tense all the time? Loosen up."

Sevear dug his sword in the ground at his feet and lay down in the grass, hands keeping his head up. Duke followed suit. He crouched down in the grass next to Sevear and began keeping watch.

I looked at him crossly, and crossed my arms. "I have every right to be tense. The situation that we are in right now is dangerous, and unnecessary."
I looked away, and sighed. Yes, a very, VERY, bad start indeed. This is going to be a long mission...

((Answers shall be revealed. Let's just say, I need the book of Tacid.))

"Talk about unnecessary. This wild chase is a distraction from our real mission. If no danger is upon us we should be moving out. Now that the situation has led close to a dead end, I say we start on our way." He ushered Xel, who was trailing behind. "It's alright Xel. You are in good company. Lead the way." Pan tapped his foot with impatience.

Growlithe turned up as they continued along, eyes closed and ears perked. It had been on a large set of stones. "You went for the high ground immediately and stood at attention. Good boy!" Pan gave a treat to the Growlithe. He turned to the others, "Ben call your pokemon and lets get moving. We have ground to cover."

Apparently, he didn't notice that I was talking about his Growlithe...
I saw him usher Xel, and became angry again. I tried to calm down, since it was around 9 am, but it was no easy task. I decided to take rear to keep out of the other's ways.

Xel led the way for a couple of days. He did not know exactly where they were going, but led them on anyway. Pan wanted him to lead him to the mountain ranges and wanted to stay near the rivers. This seemed odd to Xel. The rivers are nowhere near the mountains, but there is a lake held inside a mountain. I'll take him there, as long as this is the place where the book leads.

They came to a stop near a plateau, where they set up camp once again. "One more day until the mountains are reached," said Xel. Once they were asleep, Xel met with Ninjask. "Alert the Black Dojo of our location. Tell them we are heading due northeast of here. Do not tarry." Ninjask shot off into the dark. We have little time before we reach our destination. Noone must enter where the book says.

Sevear got up and began following the man known as Xel once more.

"Pan, where exactly are we going?" he asked.[/i]

"We are headed to the mountains in search of the next step in our journey." They ask too many questions, thought Pan. I can't tell them yet. He trudged onward. The sun began to set soon and they set up camp. a fire was started and the sun still hadn't gone down yet. Pan decided now was the time.

"Tonight is possibly our last night together. Tomorrow we will be at our destination. I can tell you now that what we are headed for is a gate. A gate that should never be opened, and we are opening it. A treasure lies within it, though it is still only a legend until we see it for ourselves. I propose we officially introduce ourselves..." He paused and looked at Ben, "...and our pasts. This way, if any of us live, we may tell of the men and women who served in this mission. Many will most likely die, but if we survive we will see the treasure that will end the war of the Empire and the Dojo once and for all. It is a treasure that will end all wars."

He took a deep breathe and exhaled. "I will begin. I am Pan Tamaran of the Twin State City. My widow mother died giving me birth and I was right then property of the State Empire. I have been an Imperial for most of my life. I served under Shogun Quarter in the main unit brigade and led many officers to their deaths in the Massacre of Baden Hill. I have been burdened with the death of many men, but have never failed a mission reguardless. Some superior officers call me the captain of concern, because those serving under me tend to not make it out alive. Those that do are never the same men or women they were before, mostly for the worst. Because of this I have rarely ever opened myself to others, because of my record with loss of good officers. This is my retiring mission, and then I will nno longer serve in the Imperial Army or even the Emperor." He held his head high. "Who will go next?"

Kinar and I both tensed. I then looked at one of the boys, then gave Xel a glare, saying, Don't you dare say anything!

I then looked back at Sentinel and Ben, hoping that one of those two were next. I wasn't about to spill my secrets of my past..

"Well then. If nobody else is willing to go I suppose i'm up next," said Sevear, briefly pausing to gather his thoughts. "I am Sevear Fyrus of the Vulcan Islands. I disliked my family, and ran away at the age of 15 to join the Imperial military. I stowed away on a boat with my companion, Duke, then a Riolu. I am called 'Armageddon' because once I enter battle, I am a near unstoppable force. I have many more years of military service headed my way," he looked around him before sitting down.

I want to know where we're headed. Alert me the instant you feel something goes wrong. I feel like i'm being led blindly, and I don't like it.

I listened to the man, Sevear was his name, and then looked at Ben.
No way am I going next, or anytime for that matter.
I then thought of an idea, smiled mischievously, and looked at Kinar. She looked at me, and instantly understood. She did something that resembled a smile, and then ,unnoticed, left. It was easy since I was behind everyone, and they expected me to look behind us. Everyone else was looking at Pan and Sevear. Best to my advantage. I smiled, then stopped.

Kinar had gotten my plan. She left and scouted ahead.

A Mudkip slowly walked up to the group, trying to make friends.

Xel was seated next to Sevear. He tried to think of the story he would give once it came his turn. These men are truely prepared to die for this foolish cause? Or is this Pan Tamaran messing with them? He looked over at Ben with interest. apparently Ben was an outlaw of sorts. Amusing pasts is what outlaws have. He looked over at Hiroki. She was giving him a look that said, "Sit down and shutup!" I am no fool to open my mouth.
