Mr. Claw was writing down sample problems of varying difficulty on the chalk board when he heard a voice address him. He turned around and looked at the espeon. "You're Lyla, right?" He then turned to the gengar that had just floated in to his room. "...And you must be Cade.

"Well, you two are the first ones in. Congradulations, I guess. Anyway, you two can do whatever you please as long as it doesn't mess anything up in my room or get me in trouble with Ti... Er... Mr. Tio."

Shard Claw continued to write down the problems on the board.

"Wow wow weeee wow!" Dik said as he got off the bus and entered the school. "There are a few new girls this year and most of them are cute." A smirk popped up on his face, but disappeared when he opened up his binder and looked at his schedule.

"What?" He yelled. "I've got math first period this year? Oh man... and it's with Claw, too. Crud, the guy's teaching battling this year as well." Dik groaned and headed for the math room.

"If their is a god, he or she will make this all better by putting lots and lots of very cute girls in my battling class."

"Hi, I am Lyla. If you need any help, I am the one to ask. Since we have a little time before school, and since I went here since I was a freshman, I would be more than happy to show you around."

Joshua rushed into class with all his stuff. He was exhausted. "Huff...Huff...Sorry I'm late, Mr. Claw. I'm usually always early!" He said. He found a desk near the front of the room and put all his stuff on it...Math was also his best subject, but he was always too shy. He never got to look at the rest of his schedule, so he opened it up. He looked below Math and saw Science. Then he saw Language. His 2 most hated subjects. He saw Battles at the end.

I just got to say, it's funny that we have only 1 female teacher...in real life I had only 1 male teacher each year until 2 years ago. Also, I added my attacks to my profile!

Without turning around, Mr. Claw said, "You aren't late. In fact the bell is still about two minutes away from ringing."

He then put down his piece of chalk and walked over to his desk. On the board were various math problems. Above each cluster of problems was the word Freshmen, Sophmores, Juniors, or Seniors.

For freshmen, the problems required that one solves for the variable:
1. (2x + 3)/7 = 22
2. (y/2) + 34 = 12
3. 7 - 3x + 4x = 0


For sophmores, the problems required the student to write out the answer:
1. If an isosceles triangle has one angle that equals 77˚, what are the possible degrees of the other angles?

2. If one side of a perfect cube equals 15 meters, what is the interior angle of the cube? Here is an image to help you.



For juniors, the problems simply needed to be answered:
1. tan(π) + sin(π) - cos(π)

2. 3cos(π)

3. 12sin(π/2)

4. tan(π/2)


Seniors were required to find the derivative and anti-derivative for each problem:

1. 1/x

2. 3r^2

3. ln (y)


There was also a note written and the bottem of the board. It read, "You are required to solve the problems for your grade and all grades below yours. If you wish to solve the problems for grades above yours, that's extra credit."


Dik walked into the class room, took one look at the board, and dropped his jaw.

"You have got to be kidding me." He groaned. "First day of school and I'm doing calculus already? Come on, Claw. Can't you at least wait until after you've called role or something?"

The charizard simplely looked at the lucario, smirked, and shook his head. "The stuff is all review, Dik." Mr. Claw said. "You should easily know how to do it.

"By the way, don't slack off this year. I don't know if you know, but I'm teaching the battling class you are in and I can have you do things that... well, let's say they won't impress any girls."

Dik grumbled, took his seat, opened his text book, and started working on the problems.

As the last seconds of the song fizzled out, Europa began to speak into the receiver "So, that was The Morning Suns with the new single Flash, from their upcoming album. Before that was Johannna Jinx with the classic Littleroot Town. And that being said, It's time for school to start, so get on to class, and have a great first day of school. I'm Europa, and I'll see you at this same time tomorrow." Europa took off her headphones and excited the recording room.

Madame Ecksploouderie, the head music teacher and supervisor of the radio, came up to her and said gigglingly "Why, what a fabulous way to start of the radio this year, Europa! I have a feeling this will be out most accomplished year yet!" Mme. Ecksploouderie said as Europa began to head to class. "By the way dearie, what do you have first period?" She asked.

"Thanks for the compliments, I'm really excited too!" Europa said as she grinned at Mme. Ecksploouderie "but I'm NOT excited for math next. EHGGGHHHG. I have Mr. Claw this year, Groooooooooooos..." She said with a sigh "Well see you tomorrow, Mme. Ecksploouderie." Europa said as she entered the hallway. She saw lots of friends from previous year, and some ever complimented her on her broadcast this morning. She was really excited for the rest of the day, well, except for math. She had no idea why she hated math, but she did. And she made it evident to all the teachers. When she had fluttered down to the math room, she released a heavy sigh and entered the room sluggishly.

gamsa jumped off the bus and rushed to the classroom where mr. claw was teaching. he sat down at a desk and began solving the problems on the board.
(how should we go about answering these queations? also I am changing my grade to freshman because.... just because)

Swant was dashing through the hall to get to class. "I'm going to be late!" said Swamt. He ran through the door to Mr. Claw's class room and tripped. Swant looked up at Mr. Claw from the floor.. "I/m late, aren't I?" he said.

Buzz walked into his math class and grumpily looked at the board. He groaned as he sat down at his desk. He was good at every other subject but math. There was NO way he would get these answers.

"Stupid first day of school!" Gwes entered the math room. "What kind of questions are these?!? I knew having Mr. Claw would be bad!"

Since his class wouldn't be coming for a while, Mr. Burno began writing the rules on the board.
1. No talking
2. No disrupting the class
3. Do your homework
4. Work effeceintly
5. Do whatever I say
"That should keep these students from getting super-social in my class!"

Shard looked down at the marshtomp. "Nope. Since it's the first day of school, I always give students five extra minutes so they can find the class. Just find a seat and begin."

((Come on guys. The problems aren't that hard. You should know what an isosceles triangle is and how to figure out the possible degrees of the angles if you know one angle. The cube problem is just doing the pythagorean theorem twice (a^2 + b^2 = c^2). The trig stuff you can do if you have a calculator that can do tan, sin, and cos. The calculus stuff is pretty easy too, if you know what derivatives and anti-derivatives are.

Also, if there's a term that applies to your grade level and you don't know it, ask me or Google it.))

Gwes got a little bored. "What to do..." He picked up a piece of paper folded it into a paper airplane and threw it at Mr. Claw.

"Hm... now to wait for the science period. He went to his desk and sat down. "Hm? What's this?" He picked it up. "Oh yes, it's my records for last year's grades."

(OMFG! Blazikendude is right, not all of us know that stuff. But if we use our "imagination" and make them get some of the question right and some wrong, then I'll be fine.)
Swant got up off the floor and went to his desk. He took one look at his paper and laughed. "I learned this a long time ago!" laughed Swant silently. He picked up his pencil and began writing down the answers.

"Oh, by the way," Mr. Claw began. "An isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides that are excatly the same length and the angles of all triangles equals 180˚.

"As for the cube problem, you will need to square two of the 15's that are on the base and add them together (squaring means multiplying a number by itself, Ex: 3 x 3 = 3^2 = 9). So you will come up with 15^2 + 15^2 = some number that we will call 'c^2'. Since you need the value of c^2 and not 'c', we can skip to the next step.

"Take 15 that is the height of the cube, square it, add it to 'c^2' and you will come up with a different number. Let's call it, 'r^2'. Now, here is where you need to find the value of 'r'. So, uses your calculator to find the square root of r^2 and that will = r, which will be the answer.

"Any other questions?"

Alex was still in the science room, oblivius to what was going on outside.

"Ah! Found my schedule... Math! Oh! You need to go find Mr.Claw!!! Hurry your very late!!!" Said Mr.Quiver

"Oh no!!!! I can't be late for my first day of school! Waaaaaaaah!!! Now everyone will think im some sort of slowch!" Said Alex in disdain.

Alex then rushed out of Mr.Quiver's room and floated across the hallway hurridly to where the math room was

"I'm late i'm late i'm laaaate!!!" Said Alex as he charged down the hall

"Here it is!" said Alex as he opened the door to the math room.

"I'm sorry im late Mr.Claw" Said Alex as he floated down and settled on his desk.
