fgd gave me a great idea. Although I didn't make cyndaquil/pachirisu, but instead I made Flaaffyrisu! Not what I expected it to be, but oh well.

Not bad, Thundawave. I suggest that you should try not to take everything and mix it. That's the most sensible idea that I could think of. Other than that, you're awesome! I'm trying, but I can't really do it right now. I've been doing what everyone else has been telling me, but still...

Don't worry torchie. You saw how bad I was in the beginning. It just takes practice. You don't have to share all your work. That is one reason why I haven't shown my horrible animation until now. I forgot to keep Ampharos in the same place O_O

Well, I think it could work as a double animation. It looks cool.

Now that I look at it, it didn't seem so fast on imageshack. Strange.

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprites

Whatever it was supposed to be, the result seems very, very well done.
(Yay! I finally had time to go to iaza.com, like everyone told me to. But, I couldn't do anything because of the sprites. How do I get them off the Psydex? That's what some people told me to do.)

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprites

some sprites are found at pokemonelite2000.com. Thats where i found sprites of the 1st 493 pokemon. For some reason copying doesn't work in the psydex.
(more art coming soon once i can post on my laptop and not the dsi)

Thanks, Thundawave! Oh, and you can get on the internet with the DSi? As I don't own one, I didn't think it was possible to do that on a hand-held gaming system. (Sorry for being off-topic)

I used a random sprite generator until I found this combo:
Image
I call it Marshfetched. What do you think of it?

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprites

As always, your sprites are magnificent! (I'm still having a little trouble doing stuff like that. I'll get the hang of it soon enough)
Random Pokemon generator? Like the one in Dragonfly Cave (I think that's what it's called-correct me if I'm wrong)? I should try that instead.
~torchie13125
(Although, you could do a little less Narshtomp and a little more of Farfetch'd. It looks too much... Marshtompy.)

Thanks torchie! Yes, the random pokemon generator was from dragonfly cave. All you have to do is keep generating 2 or 3 pokemon until you find a good combination. There will be more art when I finish my math homework and still have time. Otherwise, I hope to update tomorrow.

EDIT: Sorry for being late I had the plague called homework to do. Other than that,

This is Glizor (Gliscor/Scizor). Hope you guys like it!

...!
And time to help you, now that I know a little bit about spriting.
Maybe if you had a little more Scizor on it? That way, it would look a little more like both than more Gliscor. Maybe Scizor's eye patterns on the pincers?
(And I'm keeping this from getting dead too.)
And a bit more Scizor colors?
(I know only basic recoloring...)

Once again, I got carried away with putting a ton of parts of the pokemon that I used for recoloring... Maybe next time I will finally get it right.

Eh... I don't even know how to do transparencies...
Don't worry. And iaza is awesome!

Iaza is awesome. That is where I make things transparent too. If only I felt like making some artwork at this time...

Sorry for double posting... again. I will try to do this as little as possible.

Here is my first sig that I was brave enough to show in public.
Image
I only did this to get more people into WW, so don't expect many more. Unown sprites, the Ruins of Alph landmark background, and Paint (I don't feel like downloading GIMP) made this possible

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprite Collection

Man! I'm not attempting sigs for a really long time...
And well, I think the sig is good. Maybe Mektar will see and let you have a sprite shop...

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprite Collection

well, you can still kinda see the letters behind the unown sprites. try putting the sprites, then type out the rest of the letters, and position it so that it looks like natural text.

and, also, unless you're running windows '98 (if you are.... whoa), downloading GIMP makes things so much easier. Especially if you read the tutorials in this forum and experiment a little.

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprite Collection

I accidentally typed the letters in first, but it was too late when I realized my mistake O_O. The GIMP tutorial is too hard to understand because the images won't show up on my laptop. If the images in the tutorial were visible to my laptop, then I would maybe download GIMP.

Post subject:  Re: Thundawave's Sprite Collection

well, it's not like that's the only GIMP tutorial on the web. and it's pretty easy to figure out what they're talking about if you play around with it a little. but to each his own, i guess.

Here is something to show that I don't like simple recolors that come from nobody's ideas.
Image
Kingdra recolored as Mime Jr. This is why I need people to tell me which pokemon I should recolor or else my simple recolors will look like this. Please give me some more ideas! Fusions are preferred.

Torchie, you are a genius! Whizurill worked perfectly.
