Lol, and speaking of Siggs, I was making a Giratina one, so now it's done...though I think that no one here takes me super serial (lol south park/al gore reference)
I have two more versions of it, though i think the one above is better.

Well, I wasn't satisfied with the Plain one, so I redid the brushes, and did the colors. Yaaaay, 6 versions...

I still don't. I did think this whole topic was hilarious though, but I don't want to bring up old dirt......
It seems as if you have added you add too many layers of distortions and blurs over top of the images. I think the backgrounds look pretty good though. _________________ All I know is that I know nothing. |

I added scanlines and included both brush styles, and as a result, came to this. Oh, and I tried doing regular style Avvies, ones without distortion. These aren't my best, but not my worst. 
My first one of this style, though I think the scanlines were to close together, so it's not exactly that great. 
My second try at this style, and I think it maybe my best of these three. 
When I finished it, I thought it was a bit too plain, so I added a Red style Gradient Map, but it made it a bit too bright. Unfortunately, I was too lazy to fix the error. _________________ Do the Impossible. See the Invisible. Touch the Untouchable. Break the Unbreakable. |

ToL mah friend, your sigs getting better and YIPPEEE, V-grungies. Here's a tip.. make a really good decorative brushed layer. Then what I suggest is make a couple of layers of the smudged render and another layer of blur-displaced. Then set to softlight so that you dont have to use gradient mapping. Then add your render and it should look like there's some motion going on.

Zephyr, mah buddeh, how do i really make a good decorative brushed layer? just pretty much cover the whole thing with brushes (good ones)? and "blur-displaced"? not sure what that is, what I do is cover the whole image (in a new layer) with spark brush, copy the render, displace it with the spark brush, and then do that repeatidly. would that be the same thing, because all i've called it is displacing. and in the last sentence, do you mean like on the top layer? I'm not joking but the sparks brush displacement is what I do too. Anyway blur-displace is when you blur then map displace. And once you overlay it doesn't really matter because the scanlines/pattern will still look the same.
For a decorative layer, use v-grunge, tech brushes or galactic brushes for gimp. They work well and sometimes you may want to do them ontop of the render (overlayed). It's totally up to you really. _________________ |

Well, I did what you said, but it only make the Giratina look worse, so instead, I just left it as normal, and I think it looks a bit better this way. And I got better brushes

Well, during the silence, I worked on some more Banners, and I think I completely gave up on Avatars. Starting from most recent to oldest.

Well, I don't see the blur, I see more sharpness there. If you mean blending, then yes, I like the Blending look, but if it's a major problem...then..um...i'll try to fix it.
