Post subject: A Journey Across Nintendo

I decided to give a shot at stories. This one was inspired by released Nintendo information regarding Brawl. All of the video game enemies have banded together to form a formidable army. It's up to the 'heroes' to defeat them and restore peace.

Through out the story, you will read about things not just about Super Smash Bros., but about other Nintendo games as well.

PROLOGUE

"Mail Call!" shouted Parakarry, the Mushroom Kingdom mailman. He had just delivered a letter addressed to Mario and Luigi. Parakarry flew off, and Luigi retrieved the letter from the mailbox. Luigi shot a glance at the return address, only to find the top left hand corner of the envelope blank.

"Hey bro, we got a letter!" Luigi said excitedly.

Mario came in from the other room and Luigi read the letter out loud…

Dear Mario and Luigi…
It is with great honor that I inform you that you have been deemed worthy of participating in the First Annual All Star Brawl. It is a tournament, so to speak, consisting only of the best of the best, the cream of the crop, the elite, etc. etc. so on and so forth. We have been observing your journeys as of late, and have ranked you as such. Your being there is highly desired. The tournament will commence on the third of January, roughly one week from now. It is located in none other than the beautiful Isle Delfino, which we are sure, Master Mario, you remember quite well. You will find us on the Northernmost Island off of Delfino’s northern coast. We hope to soon meet you, Mario and Luigi.
- Sir Frodanong

“What do you think, Bro?” said Luigi, “Sounds suspicious, but we can’t NOT go….”

Mario was deep in thought. Who was this ‘Sir Frodanong’? Unknown to Mario and Luigi, others were receiving letters like this all around the Galaxy. Kirby in Dream Land, Link in Hyrule, Samus in Tallon IV, Pikachu in Kanto, Fox in Corneria. Even Donkey Kong and Yoshi, not far from where they lived, were reading a letter much like the one Mario and Luigi had received.

Never ones to turn down a challenge, Mario and Luigi ran outside and jumped into the pipe connecting them to Toad Town. There they would board a plane and head to Isle Delfino. The others across the Galaxy were on their way, as well.

Hmm... No replies...

Chapter 1
An Island Reunion

Link was on Epona, the vast fields of Hyrule far behind him, and Clock Town in front of him, the wind blowing through his hair. He had just recieved a letter from the mysterious Sir Frodanong. Whoever he (or she) was, Frodanong had caught Link in between adventures, and thought this 'All Star Brawl' would be a good way to keep his skills sharp before he was called away again. His destination was the Termina Bay, where a boat awaited him that would take him away to the outskirts of the Mushroom Kingdom, Isle Delfino, and this 'Sir Frodanong'. Something did not feel right to link about this mysterious character...

Far, far away, way up in the starry sky, Kirby made his was down to Earth, riding on the back of a Warp Star. He too, was on his way to Isle Delfino. Unknown to him, a certain Bounty Hunter was mere miles away from him. Samus Aran was comfortable in her ship, making her way to Earth.

All over the Galaxy, characters were making their way to the Mushroom Kingdom. Donkey Kong and Yoshi were boarding the plane with Mario and Luigi. Captain Falcon was closing in on the airport via his racer, the Blue Falcon. Ness from Onett was on a visit to Earth when his letter arrived, and Pikachu and Jigglypuff were already on a Lapras in the middle of the ocean, halfway to Isle Delfino.

Hours later, when the sun was barely perched over the horizon, Mario, Luigi, DK, and Yoshi landed on the Runway Strip off the coast of Delfino. Expecting the normal ferry to carry them to the island, they were instead met by a group of people wearing cloaks, hiding their faces. In an almost robotic voice, one of them spoke...

"We have been expecting you," said the hooded figure, "Please step aboard."

The four obeyed, and almost as quickly as they had jumped on they had taken off, leaving the runway behind them. Luigi asked a question...

"So wheret is this Frodanong?"

Again in a robotic voice, one of them spoke, "He prefers his privacy. We will meet the other fighters in Delfino Plaza."

"How many figthers are there?" asked Yoshi in his high voice.

"It depends on how many excepted the invitations."

Donkey mumbled some monkey sounds, which only the other 3 understood.

"He says why are you wearing the cloaks?"

The cloaked figures said nothing. No one spoke for the rest of the journey, with the exception of a couple of grunts from Donkey Kong. Twenty minutes later, they had reached the shore. Delfino plaza was crowded with a lot of familiar faces.

"Hey!" said Kirby to Mario, running away from the crowd, "Mario!"

"Hey Kirby!" said Mario, "I haven't seen you since we beat Master Hand!"

Similar greetings were occuring all around the plaza. They would spend the night in the hotel, and the next morning, they would make their way to the Northern Island, where Frodanong awaited them.

Yay a SSBB story! :D

You are looking at a real easy rater here. I don't care too much for errors, as long as I can understand it. :)

This story, so far is off to a good start! :) BUT...I don't know about Kirby and Yoshi, they typically don't speak...AT ALL. DK, he's good. :) Just a little weirdness there. Everything else good.

How'd you come up with Frodanong anyway? :?

This is the only story I wanted to read on the storyboard part of Psypokes, (as the title interested me), and it's good so far: a very interesting idea bringing characters from different games together and so far, very well - written chapters. Post some more! Lol.

Quoted: "It depends on how many excepted the invitations."

*Cough* "accepted". Apologies, one of my annoying habits.
