My Avator Doesn't Want To Change

My Avator Doesn't Want To Change I hate to sound like a n00b, but when I try and upload a new avator, it just tells me that its the wrong type - when I know its not. I tried a gif and a png but no joy. "The avatar must be less than 70 pixels wide and 70 pixels high" (I hope that's noticeable) I'm guessing it means 70x70 is too big or something. _________________

The Administrator's control that, and judging by the setting's, and the time we've had this phpbb board, I don't think they'll change it anytime soon. It takes bandwidth, (no matter how little), and can sometimes get annoying. 70x70 is actually quite good, some Admin's on other boards changed it to 50x50, so you should feel lucky. The last avatar that was uploaded was on the 26th of September, yet no one has touched any of the forum files controlling avatars (apart from the header up there ^^^^) since the 6th of September when Amphy installed the Gender Mod. It's like.. um... when you upload a file, it comes with a certain set of information (name of picture, filesize, dimensions) and that information comes in a specific format. For some reason, phpBB isn't recognising this information anymore and hence it generates an error. It'll have to be the weekend before I get more time to look at this. _________________
