I think my head is about to blow up. How do you solve decimal exponents? I've seen plenty of solutions, but they're too darn complicated. Help, please? Note: This is mainly a extra credit project, not homework. Another Note: I'm in 8th grade. |

Change the decimal to a fraction, then evaluate the fractional exponent as power over root. For example, 16 ^ .75 We change .75 to a fraction, 3/4. 3/4 is power/root, so we take the 4th root of 16, and raise it to the 3rd power. (16^(1/4))^3 = 2^3 = 8 |

^ Wow I did that this year and I didn't remember it. FAIL. Also, you can use a calculator. |
