Out of the following movies, select the one that you find to be the "Number One Comical Movie of the Past Century"! Mine has got to be "The Naked Gun (1989)". Yes, it is old. But I find that the old movies are more funny than the new ones that they're currently making, with all the swearing & false humour! Just like Ebert and Roeper, I have to give this movie "Two Thumbs Up!" |

I didn't vote, because I don't know which to vote. I've seen quite a few funny movies, and those that I remember better don't appear on the list, because they are chinese movies |

You haven't even touched the BRINK of movie comedy. You want REALLY funny movies? Check out these ones: Blazing Saddles Spaceballs Robin Hood Men in Tights Airplane! National Lampoon's Animal House Monty Python and the Holy Grail Life of Brian Annie Hall Raising Arizona The Hudsucker Proxy The Big Lebowski O Brother, Where Art Thou? Dogma Snatch Being John Malkovich Adaptation. Beetle Juice Mars Attacks! And, probably the funniest movie ever: Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie I missed half the jokes the first time I saw it because I was laughing so hard, and then when I watched it for the second time it was even FUNNIER. Recommended to watch with a lot of people, and late at night. And you think The Naked Gun is old? If you want REALLY old comedy, check out Some Like It Hot (1959). It's quite old, but it's by no means out-dated: It's one of the funniest movies I've seen. Also, a bit less old but still laugh-out-loud funny: The Pink Panther, The Return of the Pink Panther, and by far the funniest of the entire series: The Pink Panther Strikes Again. If you're a fan of comedy, they're a must-see. |

Napoleon Dynamite. It has quicky become a cult favorite in my school. I can laugh at it because there are so many types of humour in it but the movie at a whole is so different from the usual American comedies you see...on that note, Shaun of the Dead was hilarious as well. I like satirical humour, even if it is disguised in absurdity. |

Nido wrote: Beetle Juice Mars Attacks! Hmmm, guessing you're a Tim Burton fan? Seems like I'm the only one who didn't like Beetle Juice when I first saw it; I'm hoping he doesn't go down the same direction with Charlie and The Chocolate Factory or I'll be all like. (Gene Wilder's Wonka was awesome-- a perfect blend of childish playfulness and subtle lunacy. The boat ride scene scared the hell out of me when I was a kid; still does.) |

Other-Dumb and Dumber because it's rock hard to stay still and not laugh your brain out (if you have one) and it's dead funny when Lloyd says to the hitch-hiker 'wanna hear the most annoying noise in the world?' and makes a sound like a sheep, cow and cat singing a trio...Hahahahaha...Woops...Yellow patch on my trousers... |
