I think I remember what event #51 is. It's the one with Giga Bowser and co. , right?

Obviously, Giga Bowser is the big problem. I suggest playing as Jigglypuff. Rest (Down+B) does wonders on it, but be warned: it will only hit if you're in the center of the opponent (or overlapping....or something.). Mewtwo will fly off the screen easily, and if you're lucky you can lure Ganondorf to his doom by sending him flying far enough off the screen so he can't recover. Anyway, my suggestions are to follow what I said and play as Jigglypuff. Luck is another factor of it. You're supposed to KO three opponents with three lives each with three lives of your own. x_x

Other than what Gardevoir~ said, I have nothing really to say except this:

1. Don't use people with ONLY physical attacks. Captain Falcon is NO.

2. Counters work nicely, if you time them right. Marth may not have any projectile attacks, but he does have a counter, so it's OK if you consider using him.

3. Be CAREFUL. Don't be reckless and get hit by a bunch of weak attacks, because they WILL add up, and you WILL die.

4. ALWAYS kill Giga Bowser first. Once he dies, killing Mewtwo and Ganondorf is pretty easy.

Here are some characters you may want to consider using:

-Yoshi
Yoshi's Down+A move while in mid-air, the flutter kick, can amount up to massive % damage quickly. However, the flutter kick can leave you vulnerable and it's real easy for Yoshi to get knocked far off the stage, and since he has only 1 mid-air jump, it's a large risk.

-Link (Adult, not Young)
Link has good melee and ranged attacks, not to mention a ranged grapple move. Link's spin attack (Up+B) helps when the trio of baddies gets too close for comfort.

-Jigglypuff
Like Gardevoir~ explained, Rest will do mundo damage, but it is even risker then going close with Yoshi's flutter kick.

You can win with any character, but your skill with individual character is really what can determine your victory or defeat. Here are a couple general tips for the match...

-Make maximum use of items; items are set to appear very rarely in this match, and you won't find any healing items. Items such as the Metal Box, Pokeball, and Bob-ombs are very valuable. Also, try your best to not let good items fall in the hands of the enemies.

-Focus on Giga Bowser; Pelligargetic basically explained this one. If you hang around near the edges, Giga Bowser might attempt a ground pound and accidentally fall to oblivion. 8-)

Also, I've found that they will occasionaly Self-KO themselves. Let me explain. For one reason or another, if you are not on the battlefield (you were just KO-ed and are in the glowing, floating platform) they will all try to walk to the edge of the battlefield. Occasionaly, one of them will get pushed off the edge. It's cheap, and it's not guaranteed to happen, but you'll need every advantage you can get, so stay on that platform as long as it will let you.

Now, as for actual fighting tips, hit and run tactics are a good idea. Link's Down+A while jumping is wonderfull, as you can hit the large Giga Bowser and keep going. And I would also suggest taking out Giga Bowser first, but for a different reason: he's a large target.

Princess Peach worked for me. Float around until a good item drops then use it. Giga Bowser gets in your way and is most annoying so take him out first and then Ganondorf, 'cause he has a nasty punch.

I personally took care of Giga Bowser last, because he's a big, slow, joke.

It's a good idea to get a nice floatey character (Kirby, Ness, Jigglypuff, and Peach, to name a few)

1) make sure Mewtwo is the closest character to the edge. Float off, and he will almost always start charging his Shadow Ball. The other two will likely push Mewtwo off trying to get at you, and since he's charging, he'll be unable to recover.

2) trick Ganondorf into killing himself by going to the ledge, jumping over him, and when he tries his Warlock Dive (up+B) you Air Dodge. He'll go past you and off the ledge. Don't do this until Mewtwo's dead, though. You need Ganon to push Mewtwo off.

3) Giga Bowser should be your one remaining foe. It's no different than a regular fight with Giga Bowser. Personal suggestions:

-Multihit moves are a godsend (things like Jigglypuff's drill kick (down + A in air) Ness's PK Fire (Forward B) and the like not only rack up damage quick, but Giga Bowser will be immobilized, enough time for you to grab that item or whatever.

-Pokeballs are a high priority for 2 reasons: Weezing and Bellossom. Since Giga Bowser is so huge, every single one of Weezing's smog clouds will hit, racking up something like 300% damage. Bellossom allows you to immobilize Bowser for a Slow-setup kill move (i.e. a Jigglypuff Rollout, or a fully charged PK Flash)

-A lot of items are better off being thrown. The Star Rod, once a certain damage is racked up, sends the foe back at a low angle when thrown. It keeps the opponent away from you, and later on serves as a good kill.

Of course, if you're using Jigglypuff, Rest is a miracle worker, especially given that Bowser is such a huge target. But really, the key to Event 51 is AI Manipulation, skill, and a lot of luck.

I found Roy was helpful. His counter works differently, translating the power of attack into pure power. Try countering when Giga tries a Bowser Bomb. Works wonders. Up+B works great too, especially when they hang about near the edge, beggin to be set on fire by your sword. The counter is useful what with Ganon's slow moves. He presses B, you press Down+B at the right time, poof, he's gone.

But yeah, Jiggly's the best for the job. Just difficult taking Ganon out at the end. Evade him and wait for a good item. (I bounced the Star Rod on his head repeatedly. Twas great fun!)
