I thought I'd start a topic on the Commonwealth games as ther isn't one yet. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's like the olympics, but only those countries in the Queen's commonwealth (the countries the Queen is Monarch of) may enter. There are about 70 countries in this list including Australia, the UK (split up into England, N.Ireland, Wales and Scotland), Canada and New Zealand.

Australia are doing really well (as usual) as are Canada, but I'm pleased that England got the silver medal in rugby and both silver and Gold in 200m mens swimming (not sure which stroke)

yer well im enjoying the comon wealth games as they are being held right here in austrlia (are then any othe aussies around here) and australia is going pretty good but so are countries like india, England and Canada. but this monday im going to the games to go and watch its going to be sweet as!

YAY FOR AUSTRALIA!!

I'm from Melbourne, but I'ma too cheap to get myself some tickets, so I'll probably go watch some free event like the marathon or something. I'm really hating the Games TV coverage though, they only show the events which Australia are in a Gold medal contention (which is almost all, but they won't play the medal ceremonies if Aus hasn't won GS or B.)
