This is one of the most beautifully created games ever to have been developed for the next-gen console (though its really slim-pickings :) )!
Respectable effort for the first title in probably a sequel-laden franchise. The game immerses you into the environment and culture of the 11th century - the third crusades. Its amazing that you can almost feel the crud of the middle ages in this game. How the buildings, the carpets, the wood, the people, all of it seems so real. The gameplay mechanics have been honed to a point that it is almost humanly intuitive on what needs to be done, either moving around the map.. and even fighting and eavesdropping. This game is so amazing that I took off work for two days to play this. The buildings aren't like most games were it's almost like they made it for you to climb, everything in this game is like you were actually living the life in the time of the crusades.I could ramble about this all day but I've got to go play some more AC.

This thread is also a discussion about the game or if you have any questions....

I was interested in this game, and I was thinking it might be one of my future purchases, but I haven't purchased a lot of good games recently. Somehow I find it hard to pick the good ones. I suppose I've been assuming that magazine game raters and the like know more about good gaming than I do because they get paid to, but it doesn't look like there's an established quality about gaming. Everyone looks for different results, but it's hard to take that into consideration. I usually purchase the best games based on personal reviews, but I hardly hear any anymore, so I listen to the "pros."

Yeah I seem to have that same problem when I buy games without looking at the reviews.Trust me this is a game that will stick to you for a while,it's one the must have games. Coming from a person who always buy's video games, you'll probably be stuck to this for a while.
