Post your favourite lyricks here from rock to rap post the scripts or lyrics here. Heres mine. No Rain By Blind Melon All I can say is that my life is pretty plain I like watchin' the puddles gather rain And all I can do is just pour some tea for two and speak my point of view But it's not sane, It's not sane I just want someone to say to me oh,oh, oh, oh I'll always be there when you wake Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today So stay with me and I'll have it made And I don't understand why I sleep all day And I start to complain that there's no rain And all I can do is read a book to stay awake And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape escape......escape......escape...... All I can say is that my life is pretty plain ya don't like my point of view ya think I'm insane Its not sane......it's not sane. I just want someone to say to me oh, oh, oh I'll always be there when you wake Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today So stay with me and I'll have it made (I'll have it made I'll have it made You know we're really gonna, really gonna have it made Gonna have it made ahhh, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh)[/b] |

This is my most favourite song ever by U2: Walk On And love is not the easy thing The only baggage you can bring... And love is not the easy thing.... The only baggage you can bring Is all that you can't leave behind And if the darkness is to keep us apart And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off And if your glass heart should crack And for a second you turn back Oh no, be strong Walk on, walk on What you got they can |

Well, if this isn't locked yet, it's probably going to survive. I'll bite. First, from "Sorrow" by Bad Religion: Father can you hear me? How have I let you down? I curse the day that I was born And all the sorrow in this world Let me take you to the herding ground Where all good men are trampled down Just to settle a bet that could not be won Between a prideful father and his son Lord, guide me now for I can't see A reason for this suffering and this long misery What if every living soul could be upright and strong? Well then, I do imagine there will be Sorrow Yeah, there will be Sorrow And there will be Sorrow no more. When all soldiers lay their weapons down Or when all kings and all queens relinquish their crowns Or when the only true messiah rescues us from ourselves It's easy to imagine there will be Sorrow Yeah, there will be Sorrow And there will be Sorrow no more. There will be sorrow Yeah, there will be Sorrow And there will be Sorrow no more. Yeah there will be sorrow Yeah, there will be Sorrow And there will be Sorrow no more. And then, of course, I'll have to post these next lyrics. From what is, quite probably, the greatest song ever written (or, at the very least, one of them). These lyrics need no introduction, and I shouldn't have to name song or artist, as anyone who listens to music should know them. And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks the lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The truth will come to you at last When all are one and one is all To be a rock and not to roll And she's buying a stairway to heaven. |

This is my secound favourite. Polly By Nirvana Polly wants a cracker. Think I should get off her first. I think she wants some water. To put out the blow torch. It isn't me. (Chorus) We have some seed. Let me clip. Your dirty wings. Let me take ride. Don't hurt yourself. I want some help. To help myself. I've got some rope. You have been told. I promise you. I have been true. Let me take a ride. Don't hurt yourself. I want some help. To help myself. Polly wants a cracker. Maybe she would like more food. She asks me to untie her. A chase would be nice for a few. (Chours)... Polly says her back hurts. And she's just as bored as me. She caugh me off my guard. It amazes me, the will of instinct. (Chorus)... |

Ah, how I love Bob Dylan. This song is just so beatifully made, and perfectly presented. I've highlighted my specially favourite lines that everytime I hear remind me of his genius. It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding): Darkness at the break of noon Shadows even the silver spoon The handmade blade, the child's balloon Eclipses both the sun and moon To understand you know too soon There is no sense in trying. Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn Suicide remarks are torn From the fool's gold mouthpiece The hollow horn plays wasted words Proves to warn That he not busy being born Is busy dying. Temptation's page flies out the door You follow, find yourself at war Watch waterfalls of pity roar You feel to moan but unlike before You discover That you'd just be One more person crying. So don't fear if you hear A foreign sound to your ear It's alright, Ma, I'm only sighing. As some warn victory, some downfall Private reasons great or small Can be seen in the eyes of those that call To make all that should be killed to crawl While others say don't hate nothing at all Except hatred. Disillusioned words like bullets bark As human gods aim for their mark Made everything from toy guns that spark To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark It's easy to see without looking too far That not much Is really sacred. While preachers preach of evil fates Teachers teach that knowledge waits Can lead to hundred-dollar plates Goodness hides behind its gates But even the president of the United States Sometimes must have To stand naked. An' though the rules of the road have been lodged It's only people's games that you got to dodge And it's alright, Ma, I can make it. Advertising signs that con you Into thinking you're the one That can do what's never been done That can win what's never been won Meantime life outside goes on All around you. You lose yourself, you reappear You suddenly find you got nothing to fear Alone you stand with nobody near When a trembling distant voice, unclear Startles your sleeping ears to hear That somebody thinks They really found you. A question in your nerves is lit Yet you know there is no answer fit to satisfy Insure you not to quit To keep it in your mind and not fergit That it is not he or she or them or it That you belong to. Although the masters make the rules For the wise men and the fools I got nothing, Ma, to live up to. For them that must obey authority That they do not respect in any degree Who despise their jobs, their destinies Speak jealously of them that are free Cultivate their flowers to be Nothing more than something They invest in. While some on principles baptized To strict party platform ties Social clubs in drag disguise Outsiders they can freely criticize Tell nothing except who to idolize And then say God bless him. While one who sings with his tongue on fire Gargles in the rat race choir Bent out of shape from society's pliers Cares not to come up any higher But rather get you down in the hole That he's in. But I mean no harm nor put fault On anyone that lives in a vault But it's alright, Ma, if I can't please him. Old lady judges watch people in pairs Limited in s ex, they dare To push fake morals, insult and stare While money doesn't talk, it swears Obscenity, who really cares Propaganda, all is phony. While them that defend what they cannot see With a killer's pride, security It blows the minds most bitterly For them that think death's honesty Won't fall upon them naturally Life sometimes Must get lonely. My eyes collide head-on with stuffed graveyards False gods, I scuff At pettiness which plays so rough Walk upside-down inside handcuffs Kick my legs to crash it off Say okay, I have had enough What else can you show me? And if my thought-dreams could be seen They'd probably put my head in a guillotine But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only. |

Sorry for the long post... but these are three particular songs that I really like the lyrics for. "Half the World" by Rush Half the world hates What half the world does every day Half the world waits While half gets on with it anyway Half the world lives Half the world makes Half the world gives While the other half takes Half the world is Half the world was Half the world thinks While the other half does Half the world talks With half a mind on what they say Half the world walks With half a mind to run away Half the world lies Half the world learns Half the world flies As half the world turns Half the world cries Half the world laughs Half the world tries To be the other half Half of us divided Like a torn-up photograph Half of us are trying To reach the other half Half the world cares While half the world is wasting the day Half the world shares While half the world is stealing away "Love Over Gold" by Dire Straits You walk out on the high wire You're dancer on thin ice You pay no heed to the danger And less to advice Your footsteps are forbidden But with knowledge of your sin You throw your love to all the strangers And caution to the wind And you go dancing through doorways Just to see what you will find Leaving nothing to interfere With the crazy balance of your mind And when you finally reappear At the place where you came in You've thrown your love to all the strangers And caution to the wind I takes love over gold And mind over matter To do what you do that you must When the things that you hold Can fall and be shattered Or run through your fingers like dust [color=red]"Burnin' For You" by Blue |

sunday bloody sunday, by U2 I can't believe the news today I can't close my eyes and make it go away How long, how long must we sing this song How long, how long Tonight we can be as one, tonight Broken bottles under children's feet Bodies strewn across a dead end street But I won't heed the battle call It puts my back up Puts my back up against the wall Sunday bloody Sunday Sunday bloody Sunday And the battle's just begun There's many lost, but tell me who has won Trenches dug within our hearts And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart Sunday bloody Sunday Sunday bloody Sunday How long, how long must we sing this song How long, how long 'Cause tonight we can be as one Tonight, tonight Sunday, bloody Sunday Tonight, tonight Sunday, bloody Sunday Tonight, tonight Wipe the tears from your eyes Wipe your tears away I wipe your tears away I wipe your tears away Sunday, bloody Sunday Wipe your blood shot eyes Sunday, bloody Sunday Sunday, bloody Sunday Sunday, bloody Sunday Sunday, bloody Sunday Sunday, bloody Sunday And it's true we are immune When fact is fiction and T.V. reality Sunday, bloody Sunday And today the millions cry Sunday, bloody Sunday We eat and drink while tomorrow they die Sunday, bloody Sunday The real battle just begun Sunday, bloody Sunday To claim the victory Jesus won On a Sunday, bloody Sunday Sunday, bloody Sunday and welcome to machine, by Pink Floyd Welcome my son, welcome to the machine. Where have you been? It's alright we know where you've been. You've been in the pipeline, filling in time, Provided with toys and 'Scouting for Boys'. You brought a guitar to punish your ma, And you didn't like school, and you know you're nobody's fool, So welcome to the machine. Welcome my son, welcome to the machine. What did you dream? It's alright we told you what to dream. You dreamed of a big star, He played a mean gituar, He always ate in the Steak Bar. He loved to drive in his Jaguar. So welcome to the Machine. |

STIFF LITTLE FINGERS: "Each Dollar A Bullet" Oh it must be so romantic When the fighting's over there And they're passing round the shamrock And you're all filled up with tears "For the love of dear old Ireland" That you've never even seen You throw in twenty dollars And sing "Wearing of the Green [Chorus:] Each dollar a bullet Each victim someone's son And Americans kill Irishmen As surely As if they fired the gun Now you've never stood on Belfast's streets And heard the bombs explode Or hid beneath the blankets When there's riots down the road No you've never had your best friend die Or lost a favorite son But you'll stand there and tell us Just what we're doing wrong Each false word a bullet Each victim someone's son And Englishmen kill Irishmen As surely As if they fired the gun From the minute that you're born you're told To hate the other side "They're not like us, they're not the same We know because we're right" But can't you see we're all the same There is no right and wrong Why can't we stop and realize Just what we're doing wrong We've hated too much too long Each old lie a bullet Each victim someone's son And Irishmen kill Irishmen As surely As if they fired the gun How can you convince yourself That what you do is right? When people are dying there Night after night Don't you ever wonder Why it still goes on? The hopes and fears and all the tears Are buried in your ground Buried in your ground Each rumour a bullet Each victim someone's son And careless talk kills Irishmen As surely As if words fired the gun Well it's lasted for so long now And so many have died It's such a part of my own life Yet it leaves me mystified How a people so intelligent Friendly, kind and brave Can throw themselves so willingly Into an open grave Each new day a bullet Each victim someone's son And ignorance kills Irishmen As surely As if we fired the gun |

Let The Eagle Soar ~ John Ashcroft Let the eagle soar, Like she's never soared before. From rocky coast to golden shore, Let the mighty eagle soar. Soar with healing in her wings, As the land beneath her sings: 'Only god, no other kings.' This country's far too young to die. We've still got a lot of climbing to do, And we can make it if we try. Built by toils and struggles God has led us through. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 |

To shine! To go! To shine! To go! or Ghetto Gospel Lyrics Uhh, Hit them with a lil' ghetto gospel [Chorus - Elton John:] Those who wish to follow me (My ghetto gospel) I welcome with my hands And the red sun sinks at last into the hills of gold And peace to this young warrior without the sound of guns [2Pac] If I could recelect before my hood dayz I'd sit and reminisce, n**** and bliss on the good dayz i stop and stare at the younger, my heart goes to'em They tested, it was stressed that they under In our days, things changed Everyone's ashamed to the youth cuz the truth looks strange And for me it's reversed, we left them a world that's cursed, and it hurts cause any day they'll push the button and yall condemned like Malcolm x and Bobby Hunton, died for nothin Don't them let me get teary, the world looks dreary but when you wipe your eyes, see it clearly there's no need for you to fear me if you take the time to hear me, maybe you can learn to cheer me it aint about black or white, cuz we're human I hope we see the light before its ruined my ghetto gospel [Chorus - Elton John] [2Pac] Tell me do you see that old lady aint it sad Living out a bag, but she's glad for the little things she has And over there there's a lady, crack got her crazy Guess she's given birth to a baby I don't trip and let it fade me, from outta the frying pan We jump into another form of slavery Even now I keep discouraged Wonder if they take it all back while I still keep the courage I refuse to be a role model I set goals, take control, drink out my own bottle I make mistakes, I learn from everyone And when its said and done I bet this Brotha be a better one If I'm upset, you don't stress Never forget, that God hasn't finished with me yet I feel his hand on my brain When I write rhymes, I go blind, and let the lord do his thang But am I less holy Cuz I choose to puff a blunt and drink a beer with my homies Before we find world peace We gotta find peace in that war on the streets My ghetto gospel [Chorus - Elton John] [2Pac] Lord can you hear me speak!! Gangster of Love- Jesse James and Frank James Billy Kid, all the rest Supposed to be some bad cats Out in the West But when they dug me And my gangster ways They hung up their guns And made it to the grave 'Cause I'm a gangster of love Say I'm a gangster of love Well now When I walk down the street All the girls that I meet Say he's a gangster of love Yeah I robbed the local beauty contest For their first place winner They found her with me out in Hollywood Eating a big steak dinner They tried to get her to go back To pick up her prize She stood up and told them You just don't realize That he's a gangster of love Early in the morning, gangster of love Ooh yeah, now When I walk in a bar Girls from, from near and far Say he's a gangster of love Oh let me invade a little I jump on my white horse, Cadillac I ride across the border line I rope sixty five girls I kiss them all the same time I take twenty five or thirty I'd put them all on a freight A million dollar reward for me Each and every state The Sheriff says, is you Guitar Watson? In a very deep voice I say, yes Sir, brother Sheriff, and that's your wife on the back of my horse 'Cause I'm a gangster of love Yeah, I'm a gangster of love Hey, yeah When I walk down the street All the girls that I meet Say he's a gangster of love OR Cool for Cats The Indians send signals From the rocks above the pass The cowboys take positions In the bushes and the grass The squaw is with the Corporal She is tied against the tree She doesn't mind the language It's the beating she don't need She lets loose all the horses When the Corporal is asleep And he wakes to find the fire's dead And arrows in his hats And Davy Crockett rides around And says it's cool for cats It's cool for cats - Cool for cats The Sweeney's doing ninety 'Cause they've got the word to go They get a gang of villains In a shed up at Heathrow They're counting out the fivers When the hand cuffs lock again In and out of Wandsworth With the numbers on their names It's funny how their missus Always look the bleeding same And meanwhile at the station There's a couple of likely lads Who swear like how's your father And they're very cool for cats They're cool for cats - Cool for cats To change the mood a little I've been posing down the pub On seeing my reflection I'm looking slightly rough I fancy this, I fancy that I wanna be so flash I give a little muscle And I spend a little cash But all I get is bitter and a nasty little rash And by the time I'm sober I've forgotten what I've had And ev'rybody tells me that It's cool to be a cat Cool for cats - Cool for cats Shake up at the disco And I think I've got a pull I ask her lots of questions As she hangs on to the wall I kiss her for the first time And then I take her home I'm invited in for coffee And I give the dog a bone She likes to go to discos But she's never on her own I said I'll see you later And I give her some old chat But it's not like that on the TV When it's cool for cats It's cool for cats - Cool for cats |

GooGoodDolls: Better Days And you ask me what I want this year And I try to make this kind and clear Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings And desire and love and empty things Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days So take these words And sing out loud Cuz everyone is forgiven now Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again And it's someplace simple where we could live And something only you can give And thats faith and trust and peace while we're alive And the one poor child that saved this world And there's 10 million more who probably could If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them So take these words And sing out loud Cuz everyone is forgiven now Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again I wish everyone was loved tonight And somehow stop this fight Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days So take these words And sing out loud Cuz everyone is forgiven now Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again |

Queensryche - Speak They've given me a mission I don't really know the game yet I'm bent on submission Religion is to blame I'm the new messiah Death Angel with a gun Dangerous in my silence Deadly to my cause Speak to me the pain you feel Speak the word The word is all of us I've given my life to become what I am To preach the new beginning To make you understand To reach some point of order Utopia in mind, you've got to learn To sacrifice, to leave what's now behind Speak to me the pain you feel Speak the word The word is all of us Speak the word The word is all of us Seven years of power The corporation claw The rich control the government, the media the law To make some kind of difference Then everyone must know Eradicate the fascists, revolution will grow The system we learn says we're equal under law But the streets are reality, the weak and poor will fall Let's tip the power balance and tear down their crown Educate the masses, We'll burn the White House down Speak to me the pain you feel Speak to me the pain you feel Speak the word [Revolution] The word is all of us Speak the word [Revolution] The word is all of us Speak the word The word is all of us Speak the Word The word is all of us SPEAK!!! |

Chop Suey! By: System of a Down ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (rolling suicide) Wake up! Grab a brush and put a little make up. Hide the scars to fade away the shake up. Why'd you leave the keys up on the table? Here you go creating another fable. You wanted to. Grab a brush and put a little make up. You wanted to. Hide the scars to fade away the shake up. You wanted to. Why'd you leave the keys up on the table? You wanted to. I don't think you trust In my, self righteous suicide. I cry, when angels deserve to die Wake up! I cry, when angels deserve to die in my self righteous suicide. I cry, when angels deserve to die Father father father father. Father/in to your hands I comand my spirit Fathered to your hands. Why have you forsaken me? In your eyes Forsaken me In your thoughts Forsaken me In you heart Forsaken me I'll trust in my self righteous suicide I cry when angels deserve to die In my selfrighteous suicide I dry when angels deserve to die. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Conviently I was listening to the song while typing |

James Blunt - You're Beautiful My life is brilliant. My love is pure. I saw an angel. Of that I'm sure. She smiled at me on the subway. She was with another man. But I won't lose no sleep on that, 'Cause I've got a plan. You're beautiful. You're beautiful. You're beautiful, it's true. I saw your face in a crowded place, And I don't know what to do, 'Cause I'll never be with you. Yeah, she caught my eye, As we walked on by. She could see from my face that I was, F*cking high, And I don't think that I'll see her again, But we shared a moment that will last till the end. You're beautiful. You're beautiful. You're beautiful, it's true. I saw your face in a crowded place, And I don't know what to do, 'Cause I'll never be with you. You're beautiful. You're beautiful. You're beautiful, it's true. There must be an angel with a smile on her face, When she thought up that I should be with you. But it's time to face the truth, I will never be with you. Best Song Ever. |

Ha-ha! The only people that can actually understand this song are Gardevoir~ and some other person... For the record, this is not meant to offend anyone on this site. It is purely just something that popped into my head. Don't ask what 'cheese' means. by CHIKKIN07 and Gardevoir~ To the tune of "have a holly jolly christmas" Have a holly jolly holiday It's the oddest time of year I don't know if there'll be snow but have a cup of beer Have a holly jolly holiday and as you stumble down the street say bye bye to friends you know and everyone you meet Hi-ho the mistletoe hung where you can cheese somebody waits for you Punch them once for me Have a holly jolly easter and on your face I did paint Oh by cheesy have a sneezy wheezy winter this year |
